SIGNED FOOTBALL The Summer of 2016 I went to the Vikings Training Camp! If you don’t know me I am a very diehard Vikings fan! It was a super hot day out in Mankato Minnesota! It was about a two hour drive to get there! I woke up at 7 o’clock wich is very late for me. When we got there we waited in a big long line! We heard people talking. We were talking about how awesome it would be if we got a scribbly Autograph. From The Vikings Running Back Adrian Peterson! When we got inside the training camp we heard screaming, when people got a Adrian Peterson scratch ticket. There was a big practice field and bleachers. It was awesome because the first 2,000 people get a scratch ticket. That either says 15% off gift shop! Or the Man The Myth The
On the day of the game we got there early to gain a good parking spot. Like they say the early bird gets the worm. Also that's what they told us to do.
I would love to meet Tom Brady in real life. I would love to meet him in Gillette Stadium. He is the starting Quarterback for the New England Patriots, My favorite team. Some people consider him as the Greatest of all time also known as a Goat. He was drafted In the late 6th round of the draft and started as a 2nd string.
Bloody, bruised, and battered, Falls Church’s football team fought on in the fourth quarter. A football flew through the air as players crashed into one another sprinting to the ball, except I wasn’t on the field, nor was I on the sideline. I was a freshman watching our varsity footall team lose 0 to 48 on homecoming night, a familiar sight to many Falls Church students for the past 40 years. Those past 40 years are what has made Falls Church football the laughing stock of our conference, and since our school was one of the smallest high schools in the area, we never had the speed, size, or numbers to compete with other football teams. Our own school saw the team as a joke, 0-10 was a common season record, and being a Falls Church football
This weekend we get to watch a Detroit Lions game! We’re driving down to the West branch to spend some time with our friends. I can’t wait it’s going to be so much fun! My family traveled down near West Branch where we stayed for the weekend with our friends, Brent, Ronda, and their son Brendan.
My church plays in the Turkey Bowl Flag Football Tournament every November. This was not only a time to bond with my youth group, but to also create friendships with other church teams. However, there was a problem: my team consisted of players from age 13-20; however, the 13 year olds had little-to-no flag football experience. Consequently, they got less playtime and slowly became discouraged However, as a leader I wanted to show them otherwise: I coached them, helped them, and give them a new perspective on the game.
When I was 7 years old I went to my first high school game with my mom, the teams that played were Roosevelt and Flower. I will never forget that day Sept 8th at 8PM friday night lights. My older cousin Brett Pierce was the starting Cornerback for flowers, I admired him because he the starting Corner and he was ranked #23 in the Nation for his position. My cousin ended the game with 18 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 3 forced fumbles that was one of the greatest days of my life. After the game was over I asked my mom could she sign me up to play football, she told me I wasn’t big enough.
When we first moved here my mom went to one of the high school football games and was amazed by the spirit of the fans. She then found out that it was because the football team had won the last two games and they are supposed to be a losing team. Also at this time my brothers and I had been telling my mom for years she needed to quit smoking which she had been doing since she was 13. So, we designed a contract. The contract stated that if the Wabash High School football team had a winning season meaning they had to win 5 games that my mother had to quit smoking.
I can not remember a year where I was as excited for the Vikings season and then this goes and happens. Twenty minutes into practice on Tuesday Teddy Bridgewater took a snap from under center and as he was dropping back to pass he screamed in agony and went down. He suffered some sort of non contact knee injury. Everybody in the building could tell how serious the injury was by the reaction of the players, some cursed, some threw helmets, and some even prayed.
This was the year where the first NHL game was played during a hurricane. Through the season I suffered my ups and downs. I had my great moments, and I had my terrible moments. I ended the season leading my team in points, goals, and assists, and led us to a wild card spot in the playoffs.
Aidan’s Fantasy Growing up i've always liked football. The Dallas Cowboys to be exact. My fantasy would to play on the Cowboy’s team, and now that fantasy is coming true.
On the Friday we moved in to Vail, at our hall meeting, our RA asked who wanted to do a flag football team. Most of us were interested and so our whole hall made a team. The games started in September and continued to October. They were almost every week. We did really well and won a lot more games than most of us thought we would.
The first time on a football field and i was very hyped about it cause i got to play and the coach put me as starter because i was the biggest one on the field. The very first play we got sacked but are left lineman didn't stop the ball they got pushed over and we got sacked. The ball was on the 25 yard line and we were trying to get to the fifteen yard line to get the first down and we were short 10 yards but we could still get cause if we work hard you play hard.
Fans were tailgating, the band was playing 20 minutes before game started, and it was a huge stadium. We get in line facing an old blue shack turned to a ticket booth, while waiting in line, the bleachers were rocking, and the anticipation was at an all-time high for the first game at home for Hoggard of season is about to kick off. We get to the front of line and the kind old lady asked for $7 and once we gave her the last of the money our parents gave us, we entered through the chained link fence and walked around the track to the visitor side across the field. In the midst of us walking over to the visitor side, the Public Announcer comes on and says for everyone to remove all headgear to honor America. Hoggard’s ROTC brought out the American and North Carolina flag to midfield and all eyes were locked onto those beautiful flags, hands over hearts, as we listen to the band play the National Anthem.
