Personal Narrative: My Ultimate Educational Goals

Pay the money you need to so you can do what you really want to do but if you really love what you do or are going to do then you wouldn’t be working a day in your life.

College teaching a lot knowledge, but is not useful in the real world. The bachelor's degree requirement reduces the opportunity to the real talent who does not go to college. We should get the job we want, no matter college or not. Job experience and skill are more important than the paper evidences that you have a bachelor’s degree. If you are one of the high school graduate student, you have know what you want to be in the future and pick the right path.

This would be an understandable reason to not continue college, but is very specific to certain people or families. Another personal case of why an individual would drop out is college is it is just not the right fit for their life. College does teach valuable life skills and provides an advanced education for those who need it, yet some professions do not require a degree. If a student is not getting valuable instruction for what they want to do, it would be the smart thing to back out and peruse an apprenticeship for example. Careers such as plumbing, welding, electricians, cosmetics, etc do not need a four-year degree.

Living where we live, you begin to comprehend that living off of $11.00 per hour including with your family will never suffice your needs. Getting a college degree can ensure the graduate a higher chance of being able to earn more financially. In the article “Why College Isn't And Shouldn't Have to be For Everyone” by Robert Reich, he states that “A degree from a prestigious university can open doors to elite business schools and law schools-and to jobs paying hundreds of thousands, if not millions. ”Even though Reich’s article is on the opposing side of the argument, he fails to overlook the fact that in the long run having a college degree will, and can open doors to many new opportunities. One of those opportunities is to be able get a well paying job that can earn more than the average non college graduate.

To culminate, college athletes should not be paid to play. There are many reasons why college athletes should not receive payment to play a collegiate sport. Their college is already being paid for due to the scholarships that these athletes have earned. They have been noticed because of their athletic abilities and the college they have decided on is providing free or help with their education fees in turn for the athlete to compete in the sport they play, which is most likely a great hobby to them. College athletes receiving payment for play would be very unfair to non-athlete students.

As President, Bernie Sanders plans to make college education free for all students. There are many students that only graduate from high school and then cannot afford to attend college to get a higher education. Then there are those students who do attend, but spend most of their lives paying off their school debt. Bernie intends to achieve this by first making tuition free at public colleges and universities. It’s not an impossible thing to accomplish seeing as how other countries have found a way to offer free college, which encourages students to attend since they don’t have to pay.

A college education has become a necessity in today’s society. What if college was miraculously free. It would be like going to your public high school without paying that horrendous tuition fee. A lot of people say that free college is a dumb idea because it could potentially flood the market, and Others think it’s a great idea though, because more people would end up going to college because they don’t have to worry about financially paying for it.

College is a specific environment that has its own expectations and rules, and students who seek enrollment should take into account that the gates are open only for those who are willing to excel and thrive academically. A cruel reality faced in college could be far away from students’ expectations. Paying for tuition, students become more responsible for their learning process, taking authority of their knowledge. Before enrolling in a class, students will consider their chances to pass it on the first attempt rather than spending money for a second or even a third chance. Thus, college tuition should be perceived as an investment in a new project, college degree, that becomes profitable at the time of successful

The third reason people think loans should not be based off income is because students know what amount of money is good to take out and which amount is not the best for their limit. When a student goes in to get a loan most of them do not go over a limit that they know they cannot pay back. Last reason people think students should not base loans off income is because more students would go to college instead of not going at all or dropping out, because of how much household income is coming into their

In conclusion, establishments have a great deal of reason to meet enrollment targets and go understudies through than to guarantee they are successful after graduation. On a very basic level, the "cost" of free open school is more than the money taxpayers would spend on it. When student-athletes received full scholarships, they should be privileged and thankful since the cost of higher education is very expensive. Student-athletes need to understand the circumstances and take of advantage of getting their degree from a well renowned university since the percentages are very slim to none on having a professional career in sports. The purpose of a student-athlete is to be a student first and then an athlete second. The main focus should be on earning a degree, and not worrying about when is the next game on the schedule. Many people are stating that college athletes should get paid, but how about the general student body that has little to nothing and working a job earning minimal pay.

I would have never thought this would have been possible when I was in eighth grade. I know that my future in school and my future work job is only going to get stronger with all og the hard work and dedication I am putting into to it right

What is College Worth? The worth behind a college education continues to shift as times change. This day in age, the educational system in the US is failing because for some reason, earning a bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject does not guarantee a job and that is not acceptable. If someone puts in the time, effort, money and is successful enough to get through four to six years in college, they deserve a job in their field.
