Hello Mr.Rase, my name’s Elena Serafimovski and I’m a writer in my junior year of high school. Writing is extremely comforting to me, I even find it therapeutic. As a young writer, I would write short stories on silly ideas like puppies or flowers because I enjoyed that. As I progressed through middle school, I picked up different styles of writing by reading books from various authors. The more styles of writing that I read, the more I wrote.
My instructor Jennifer Jackson said this time “ Bravo! This is one of the strongest revisions I’ve seen yet.” This essay gave me so much confidence and made me feel I can actually write something interesting. Also, I sent my paper to The Writing Center, after I submitted my paper to my instructor to see any other mistakes I could have to improve my writing skills. I received a very good feedback from them after three or four days of submitting my paper, they said, “ my paper was pretty good. I needed to work on some minor mistakes such as spacing, omitting the work “that” when I did not need
During high school, I was regarded as the best English-user. English class was always fun and interesting. I was especially enthusiastic in learning and practicing my writing skills. Writing has always been a personal hobby, and I often spend my free time drafting short stories. I knew I was good at writing as I was often asked to write for the school magazine or website, but I didn’t know what makes me a good writer.
my first days in my new country were tough because I did not speak the same language making it harder to be able to write and communicate with the people around me. But as soon as I learned the language things got a little bit more easier. My writing improve a lot I went from writing short sentences to paragraphs and to writing complete essays for school. I still remember an accident I had with my English teacher on sophomore year of high school. She made us write an essay about a book call “ to kill a mockingbird”.

When I was still in Grade one, our teacher used to praise us in class when we did in a particular thing that she asked us to do it. My mother used to buy me thing that I love such as wrestling T-shirts when I did well at school or sometimes if I got a total on classwork. At this stage that when the teachers and parents begin to take an important role in the child’s life as they teach the child specific skills (Coon & Mitterer,
There’s more freedom so I can also thing about what the author is trying to say or reveal to his or her readers. Why is the author trying to connect with them or is the author just informing them on something? I have made a great amount of progress from high school to now. My thoughts about writing have made a huge turn around for me; it has become more fun and interesting for me. I can see myself taking a few more writing courses in the
To begin, I will be describing my personal accomplishment. In fall of 2010, my writing teacher encouraged me to be one of top 5 to be published for poetry or even an essay. I accepted the challenge, and exceeded the expectations. I wrote 2-3 poems and 2 were selected for publication. Mr. R inspired me to be the writer I am today.
As I was being delayed in college because of my choices, I started using illegal drugs but I got bored of it. When the people close to my heart got curious about drugs, I took it upon myself to introduce it to them so that I can control how much they use for their first time and they wouldn't overdose. I never got addicted with any substance; may it be alcohol, cigarettes, recreational and prescription drugs. I did try to abuse it didn't work. So when my friends found out that I never get hooked on anything, they asked for my help to get over their addictions.
I was never interested in academics nor did I ever consider myself ever wanting to teach. In fact, I almost did not graduate high school. However, because I wanted to make my mother proud, and achieve my dream of becoming a firefighter I pushed myself to graduate high school. Saving someone’s life from a burning building, rescuing a teen from a car crash, or bringing a cat home to their owner after getting stuck on a tree. It all seemed great, but was I ready or would I ever be ready to see people in their worst days?
I felt it. The rush of words and images through my brain from my first experience with writing. I had felt a feeling of sensation and expression. It was art. My teacher was Mrs. Kunkel who taught communications class, and we had to write a play of some sort regarding emotion and expression through the generalization that is life.
