College should not be taken lightly and The first new skill I learned was how to write a college level paper. When you first start a college class as a junior in high school it can be intimidating but in the end it turns out to be a great learning opportunity. As I advanced to high school, my teachers took reading and writing to the next level. I was very nervous at first but thanks to the Jane Schaffer format, my written work and comprehension of specific books progressed. The Jane Schaffer format is based on a standard five paragraph essay but each paragraph is based on the form of ‘chunking’. Each paragraph consists of a topic sentence, concrete detail, and two commentaries for a total of around eight sentences. Our teacher provided us with a shaping sheet to outline our paragraphs and combined it to make one solid paragraph.
So taking, this type of essay out of college writing courses allows students to improve on other writing components. You would not have to stress, struggle, and contemplate on writing about yourself just to see how strong you write about yourself. Also, papers I have read through for errors have very well imaginative details. The author for the paper gives enough detail that readers follow everything that is happening and can picture
My writing habits and practices have improved tremendously. When I was in high school and during my early college days, I wrote papers and turned them in without giving them so much as a second glance, no revisions or rewriting and no proofreading and editing. My papers often came back marked up, and the markings almost always pointed out grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules that I already knew. Now I find myself proofreading, editing and grammar checking which help me in my pursuit going
I knew I was good at writing as I was often asked to write for the school magazine or website, but I didn’t know what makes me a good writer. Before attending university, I made a commitment to engage in English classes and join writing workshops, so I could refine my writing. I wanted to learn how to write better essays with a wider range of vocabulary and less grammatical errors. I knew this course would help me improve my writing, though I didn 't know much about the learning process and goals. Through this course, I have realized my weaknesses and strength as a writer and learned how to structure and write an academic essay.
At the age of fourteen, I was accepted into an Early College High School that has allowed me to take dual credit courses since my freshman year of high school. By the time I graduate high school, I will already have my college associate degree that I will have earned through my hard work and dedication. Even though I went through a lot at such a young age, it has shaped me in every possible way. I was exposed to a whole different language and culture, but I was able to succeed through my strong desire of success and dedication. I am thankful for every challenge that I had to go through because if it was not for them, I would not be the person I am
Often times I find myself struck with an idea when I 'm outside, only to inconspicuously jot my thoughts down onto my phone. Then, when I get home, those thoughts transform into words. My writing doesn 't pry on my own intimate feelings, but rather on fictional adventures. I love writing stories, wild, crazy stories that I dream to be formed into a physical book and sold on shelves. There is not one subject matter that I focus on, but rather, I write about whatever calls to me.

Throughout my years of writing in high school, I was focusing only on writing to fill the basic requirements to pass English. Over the time interval of the course WRI101, my writing completely transformed. Analytical thinking, balance, and flow were the focal skills taught in WRI101 by Dr. Daniel Fredrick. Through learning about what are considered to be the two most important skills in writing, content and style, I was capable of elevating my writing in a manner that distinguishes it from the typical college paper. From the beginning of the course, I was introduced to novel aspects of writing.
Writing has always influenced my life and as a young child. I would often read books that included characters that I could relate to and connect with. Writers and their creations aren’t something that come naturally. It requires a lot of training, time, and qualities in order to succeed and really understand what it is to be a writer. When considering a career in writing, one must determine if the job is fitting for them by examining the working conditions, their personality
