The next morning, after all my friends went home, I went downstairs to watch TV with my mom. “Did you enjoy yourself last night?” she asked. “Yes ma’am,” I responded, “I had a great time with them. Thank you for letting them sleepover.” “That’s good. Now give me your ipod,” she said.
In paragraph 31, her mom asked her to make friends, but the daughter doesn’t see the point of it. She says she never has time for friends. She also tells mother that they have to move every few months so there's no point. Some more evidence is found in paragraph 24 when she doesn’t want to stay in New Mexico for the summer. The daughter feels like it's a world away from California.
As stated in the text, “A thousand moments I had just taken for granted-mostly because I had assumed that there would be a thousand more.”(pg.368) For example, whenever Taylor had snuck out of the house and “ran away”, her father would always find her and pick her up in his car. Instead of being mad at Taylor, he always took her out for ice cream as long as she promised not to tell her mother. Although the summer was hectic with all the “drama”, Taylor
My Senior year was supposed to be a a time to remember but it was not. I got into my first accident. My friend and I wanted to go eat after school. We all meet up in the parking lot. We decided to go to Chick fil a. Chick-fil-A was a long way from our school so we car pooled.
At the meet last night, Bella wasn 't feeling well and I kept her home from school today due to symptoms of stomach flu. It 's looking as though she will miss school again tomorrow, so she will also miss practice. If the symptoms subside and she starts to feel better she will be there. She started feeling ill on the bus heading to Jarrell yesterday. I thought you might want to know since she was around you and the team, I hope no one else gets sick.
It was finally the day I got to see my mom after two whole months. She moved to Florida to find a house down there so I could move down with her. For two months it was basically misery. I have never been two weeks without her, let alone 2 months. I was heartbroken and she was too.
We get along very well, maybe better than real siblings do. When it came to staying up we would just talk to each other. She did most of the talking, I just listened. We didn’t have enough bedrooms and because I didn’t want to sleep in the living room by myself every night I had a bit set up for me next to Emily's bed on the floor. This is where I have slept ever since.
I think It wasn’t in telling freshmen year in high school when my sister and I went to go to Subway to get something to eat. I usually get a sub with meat and no vegetables. But my sister said “you better but some vegetable on your sandwich or I won’t get you food anymore.” At first I was critical, but I said “I need to break out of my shell, so what the heck.” I said “I would like… well some lettuce.” My sister said “more!” I said “fine! Can I also get cucumbers, red onions, and some banana peppers, you happy!” and when we got home, I was so scared of eating the sandwich I ordered, my sister really wanted to see my reaction. I was like here we go!
Once I was ready for school my mom offered me a ride to school which does not normally happen. I asked why she was giving me a ride today and she said it was so i could save my legs for tonight. Once I got to school it was just like any other day. The only difference was that i was really nervous for tonight's race, it was on my mind all day. It’s a home meet so I had time to walk home and eat a couple of granola bars and drink a glass of water, I didn’t want to have to run on a full stomach.
Coincidentally, my mom was at my favorite restaurant eating with some of my friend’s moms. My mom picked me up and I ate a little bit over there. Right after my mom left the restaurant, she brought me to the doctor’s office. The doctor was not busy that day, but I remember that I still had to wait because the visit to the doctor’s office wasn’t planned. The doctor said that I had a concussion!
On yesterday, I did not have a substitute for my class. So, Thea Johnson was asked to watch my class. As Thea walked through my class, I began thanking her. She mentioned jokingly, “She haven’t had her medicine, and she didn’t want to be bothered.” She told me I had to do something about by “crazy students” and I better have some work. While I was getting my students’ work from my Sub Box, she mentioned she needed my roster because she was going to call parents.
