After all the long runs, intervals, sprints, injuries, exhaustion, and personal records, I’m finally starting to find the answer to why i joined cross country. I joined this sport for the way it makes me feel- the adrenaline pumping through my veins as I stand in the box waiting for the gun to go off, the way nothing can bring me down when I get a personal record, the way I feel when my teammates lose their voices cheering for me. Cross country is by far the hardest thing
A runner will do only as well as he or she want to, if you want it enough then you can achieve it. Coach Charlie always tells the cross country team that," they just gotta believe," which is definitely true for racing. It requires great mentality to be able to push past all your pain to beat your time. In order to be able to improve, a runner must be able to push himself or herself further even when they are exhausted. Running is the greatest
Some of it has to do with emotions and feelings, as well as the influence it has infiltrating various religions by changing their theological structure to look like its own distinctive image. Christian Smith (2005) reveals that teenagers both religious and non-religious are positive about their type of religion because it effectively allows them to achieve primary life goals; to feel good, and happy about themselves and their life (p.50). They are allowing their individual beliefs to become molded by the various teachings of organized religion as well as horoscopes, advice columns, talk show host, and so on. American civil religion is affected by liberal religious activism and by Religious Right operating at the level of formal religious organization and institutions (p.57). Thus making it possible for individuals to become influence with the beliefs of MTD.
Also, this shows that they were going to fight not only for revenge, but for each other. They want to make each other happy and do their best with each other at all times. As a result, they are always going to be more than happy to stick up for each other especially when one person is truly
After all, cross country is all about pushing through your biggest pain. I decided I was going to use every ounce of my energy and being to this race. With every stride, I remembered every workout, every tear, every sacrifice and pushed through my pain. Finally, with the sunlight cutting through the clouds shining on the finish line, I gave it my all. I ran through finish line with painful tears in my eyes.
“However many snaps I play for, when I’m on the field I go 120 percent.” This quotation describes how much Jason Pierre Paul loves football and how committed he is to playing football. He plays very hard every time he steps on to the field and doesn’t let an obstacle stop him. Jason Pierre Paul inspired many people, used striving for accuracy to innovate ways to overcome his hand injuries, and influenced people to persevere. Create Jason Pierre Paul is an outside linebacker (OLB). He was one of the best outside linebackers in the league, and the quarterbacks were always scared of him.
They both had the courage to do something important in, their life and might not survive. Murad and Vargas had the courage to have a better life. Murad did everything he took to have a better life. “Murad takes off, running as fast as he can . Behind him, he hears a whistle and the sound of boots, but he continues running…” (35).
I have lots of inspiration to help me go through all that abuse and violence. Even if all my loved/close ones are against me, I will still fight through and do anything and everything as possible to get where I want to be. Because Martin Luther King Jr had gone through everything,
In order to overcome the challenges of life, each person must face the fears that are indeed a part of them. The book illustrates that there are several ways to face one’s “beast”, and although each path is varied, they all will eventually come to the same realization that no fear can be conquered until it is faced. Although the fears that come from within are the most terrifying, but one reigns victorious if he or she can achieve all goals despite
We would push our minds by running as hard as we could, and lifting as heavily as possible, even if we felt like we were about to faint. I could still hear my coach yelling, “Maintain Mental Toughness!” as I sit here and write. Everyone gets tackled. It does not matter how heavily you are hit, but how you rise up that matters. Using this philosophy outside of football has allowed me to persevere through difficult circumstances.
