Martha looked at the myth of Thanksgiving. The idea that an entire family would happily get together for a huge meal. The family will think and talk about everything that they are thankful for. This is heavily discussed in elementary schools. As a child I remember my teacher suggesting that at dinner we should go around the table and have each family member say something that they are thankful for.
Afterwards, I dashed downstairs to unite with my older brother and mother. In the kitchen, we began to pack any non-perishable foods we had. My mother cooked a huge breakfast for me. There were bacon, sausage, biscuits, pancakes and orange juice. We sat at the kitchen table, she asked me “Destiny is you ready to better your life?” I looked at her, smiled and I said, yes mam. Time was ticking, she was on the schedule, she asked me to get dressed, put on some pretty clothes and do my hair.
At the hotel there was all you can eat breakfast with many delicious foods and drinks. The smells of the foods made me crave it before I could even tell what foods there were. We had to wait a while in line to get our tickets for the cruise and then we signed up for some activities to keep us busy on the four day cruise.

I got out of bed right away and ran down the stairs as fast as I can, smelling the most delicious, buttery, hot pancakes on the stove. As I got to the kitchen I see the table already set, and pancakes staring right at me. I sat down and enjoyed a big, fluffy pancake.
