Running against the wind with a ball at my feet is invariably the best feeling ever. Time spent on the soccer field is time spent for self-reflection. Being on the soccer field unaccompanied is an even better feeling. Through playing soccer, it has put a huge impact on my
According to FIFA, the is over 295 million kids/adults actively playing “The Beautiful Game” all over the globe. To see real passion for soccer, go to Brazil and watch their style of playing, it’s amazing. Many may think most famous people grew up with the perfect life, but it was different for Pelé. For Pelé to achieve his success, he trained in the streets with only a sock ball. Money didn’t stop him from becoming who he is today.
The Soccer Game I am running with the ball one on one with the goalie left or right I shoot the ball and hope for the best. All of a sudden I hear the parents go wild I scored ! The refs and soccer scout come to me they give me the man of the match award. The next day at I walk into the big red building awaiting a new day.
Rapidly soccer became not only my biggest passion but also the common ground between my father and me. More than anything else, I wanted to play soccer. I would play with my friends at the park or alone in the living room; however I craved to play in a team. My determination to pursue my passion was so overwhelming that I chose to join a soccer team
Football has defined me as person growing up, developing me to being the person you see today. The thrilling experience and the excitement surrounding playing against a local football team is unmatched. When you come onto the pitch, you forget your worries and your problems, and you concentrate on completing the simple task at hand of putting the ball in the back of their net, and protecting yours. The late Sir Terence Pratchett expresses the beauty of football brilliantly in relation to what I think of it, “The thing about football - the important thing about football - is that it is not just about football.”
From stepping on that field for the first time and hearing the announcer announce your name for the first time under the bright lights as you stand there seeing your family looking from the stands with joy and excitement. The sounds of your coach yelling and pushing you to work harder, not just for yourself but for the team. Seeing how all 11 players on the team bust their butts off for the team is true love for the game. Every tactical word yelled from across the other side of the field and those occasional curse words you get from the other team as they struggle against you. Before your eyes you get to see the amazing plays build up before you and being part of it is the beauty of the game, the game that I call my own.
I feel privileged that I was old enough to remember this milestone in my family's lives and I feel privileged that I get the opportunity to watch him grow. Being a role model for my brother has allowed me to learn about how to take care of children and also about how much of a pleasure it really is. Because of this experience I know that I would love to have children of my own one day, and I have him to thank for
Every hero is reborn, with a new change of mind, and heart. Jess’ change not only helps her ease her conscience, but also helps her succeed in her tournament final. The Hero’s Journey closely resembles Jess’ own journey in Bend it Like Beckham to become a soccer player. Both heroes face challenging obstacles, reach a significant low point, and are physically and/or mentally reborn.
Soccer There once was a soccer game. It was going to be the other team that wins because the other team was in the lead and they just pushed so we get a free kick in the 18 box. I was the one taking the shot and it went in the goal and then everybody was comparing the ball to the goalie.
I have been playing soccer since before I could even walk. In fact, I joined my first soccer team at the age of five. Soccer is something I have always loved and been passionate about. When I was on the co-ed recreation league teams I was one of the only girls on my team, so I had to compete with boys who doubted me and thought I was weak. I worked hard during practice and out of practice to become better and, eventually, I became more aggressive than them.
The hype in this sport makes everyone curious, for me it was no question. Love at first sight seeing the contact of the sport and the crazy tenacity of the players just made me want to get involved with the sport. My team i choose to be my go to team had to be a team that was really dominate and didn 't mind getting dirty. Pittsburgh came to mind and ever since i haven 't turned back. Big Ben showed me how it is to be a leader in a soccer pitch.
As we were heading for the goal on another break away, the opposing team kicked it out of bounds by the goal. My sister Bailey, who is also on the team, set the ball up for a corner kick. Her kick was a beautiful, high, hard drive to the front of the box. I remember thinking of my trainer’s words, “Anything is possible”. I jumped up at the right moment.

My teammates and I finally reached the Atlanta stadium, the head coach told us all the formations, plays, strategies, and who will be starting. When I heard "Eric Marshall will be one of the primary and starting receivers," I almost jumped in joy, because it had been a dream to play in the super bowl. As we walked into the stadium to practice, I could hear fans screaming, many of which were cheering for us. I felt as if we could not lose or we would let many, many people down. While Marcus and I were doing some practice plays, I felt great When our rivals, the Patriots came in, they looked as if they have been training for this moment for their lives.
As a child I grew up loving two things, sports & talking. Whether it be basketball, football, or any sport in between my attention has always been drawn immediately to the game, and if the game was breaking all I wanted to do was talk about it. As High School approached I quickly realized sports would definitely be something I wanted to pursue a career in, but as a girl it’s a little more challenging. Because of my love for talking to others along with my love for sports, sports broadcasting became the only right choice.
