The America of Tomorrow I When you look at a pine tree on the mountain, it seems like it stays the same and never grows. However, what you see of that pine tree is different every second because there is nothing in this world is identical. As the Anglo-Saxon has imposed their culture on the people in the United States, particularly the minority groups, they thought the culture would be replicated but it would never be the same. In fact, we, the people, are looking for something more, something more exciting.
The natural of the structure of the U.S. society is consisted of all sorts of people. They are white, Italians, Jews, Hispanics, Asians and black people. They are upper class, middle class and lower class. They are men, women, young and

Any youth should be granted the access of education since it is important for the youth to become an individual thinker. They will be challenged critically and thinking individually. They will be interacting with their peers and absorb others’ perspectives. A young child should not stay at home or earn a living on the street when he or she is in his or her critical period of development. He or she will grow not only physically but also mentally when they are learning in school. Imagine a generation of youth did not go to school, instead they started working at very young age (which it is very common at the current), they were deprived from their heuristic education. Furthermore, they became the fathers and mothers of the next generation, and they continued working. What differences would these very individuals be contributing to the society and the culture if each generation stays the same as the previous generation? There will be no changes. There will be no progress. There will be no hope. Education is the key of enlighten the children’s thoughts. Giving them the freedom to question, to think, and to challenge is to ultimately free them and their mind from this imposed culture by
Several individuals from different ethnicities, races, and citizenships, compose a society. The United Sates allow us to have a close interaction with numerous individuals from diverse backgrounds. In my own case I have been able to interact with many incredible individuals from all over the world who come from extremely different backgrounds. I am a proud Mexican who cherishes respect towards diversity. Coming from a very suffered country I am able to understand not only what does it means to feel proud to be a Latino, but also I can feel acquainted with the pain and struggle that our community has to face every day.
Baseball is what many call “America’s Pastime”. It is the game that never fails to bring me from the highest highs to the lowest lows. The second that you think you are the best, the game will humble you. When you are at a loss for confidence, you will do something amazing that will turn your game around. Nothing beats the smell of the spring air, the dirty pants, the laughs with teammates and the glory of winning.
The new American hero (Just a quick look) Can you see the handsome young man sitting by my side, driving through the forest, behind the wheel of his decadent truck? Yes. I would trust him with my life (sip of vodka).
My Vision For America 's Youth would be to help stop bullying and make a difference in the world . A challenge I want to address would be to help start a chain reaction to stop bullying . A chain reaction is something that happens when one person does something and it influences others and causes them to join in . In October of 2015 I recently experienced a very serious and emotional assembly at my school .
What does it mean to be an American today? Or rather, what does being an American entail? Does that pertain to a certain individual’s perspective? Or is Americanism defined through a collective consciousness projected around the world? Over the course of time, Americans have gone through various embodiments of who they are, without loosing the essence of what they represent.
My identity has always felt inextricably linked to what Miami is. A city that is teeming with immigrants, a city with dreams stacked and slopped atop each other, and a city that is living proof of the failed American dream. I say so because of my early observation that generation after generation of immigrants often seemed to stay trapped in dead end jobs; I saw this within my own family – within my grandmother, my aunts and uncles, and even my cousins. Here it was even within my own family tree the deep implicit message that there was no way out of our socioeconomic level. When I made it into an Ivy League college, it was a message that was slowly re-enforced by the fact that my demographic was the most represented in the custodial staff rather than within my own classmates.
As a child, I had many dreams, but in a country with lots of poverty, dreams die. My world exploded when I realized I had an opportunity to achieve the American dream and be the first in my family to do it. My goal this semester is to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA and actually take life lessons from every class I attend. I know I will be faced with many challenges, but I plan to overcome any obstacle with will and determination. This first week made me feel emotional about my future, how far I’ve come, and how much closer I am to the big house on the beach.
When I first heard of the prompt, “My Vision for America is…” I instantly thought how can I put this towards the community to get their vision out there as well. While rationalizing about how I wanted to portray my dream, I couldn’t help but think about the people who serve and have served in our country and what they think America should be like for future generations. Although the citizens of the United States of America, including myself and other students, have a huge impact on our future, the ones who have fought for us first hand had a reason to keep fighting for our country, and I believe the thrill that made them go out and protect us is my vision for America. Most soldiers and veterans and even police officers do not have the opportunity
In many countries living in extremely poor conditions, not only is basic health an issue but also the lack of education. Although it is a necessity, “more than 72 million children of primary education age are not in school and 759 million adults are illiterate” (Rights to Education 1). The deprivation of education should be taken serious if a change is wanted. People need to become aware of how important education is and the benefit that it has.
Leah Martin Mrs.McKenna English /5th period 13 May 2016 Final Copy Our family can only eat whatever we grow on a small plot of land located a short way from our house. We have no other form of income so if we are unable to pick anything to eat from the land we go without food on that day. This happens a lot and we regularly go several days without any food at all. When we do pick vegetables from the land it’s very rarely enough for the whole family to be fed so my husband
In the world today about 264 plus million children are being denied access to free education, according to Global Campaign for Education-civil society movement. Up to 80 percent of the world's out of school 5 to 18 year olds live in the sixty-five countries that a similar, more modern organization, Global Partnership for Education, is associated with. These are the children that are going to be leading and populating their own countries eventually so if have no education, how can they make logical decisions for the benefit of their country and the world? Education is globally recognized as a human right according to a number of international conventions. In all highly developed countries most people would claim education should be free for children worldwide yet a quarter of a billion children are denied education.
A world without education would not have Great Expectations. “Around the world 59 million children of primary school age are being denied an education, and almost 65 million adolescents are without access to a secondary school,” (Doc 6). The education received throughout a childhood determines how the future will be for the new generation. Because so many people do not have an education, when they get older, it is damaging their life and the world as a whole. People are denied an education because of where they live, who they are, and how much money they have.
This lack of education means more than just another generation of illiterate children, who will enter into the same cycle as their parents. This is a generation of children who will continue into a life of poverty, with no real tools to fight the cycle that plagues their and their families’ lives. With the educational needs of children so often not met, children are not being given a fighting chance at breaking the cycle of poverty, disease, abuse, war and much
I just love the new era of technology. I t just makes life so much easier and better, or is Technology more of a drawback ? Even though technology is alnmost flawless it still lets users down and in the most inconvinient moments. Since we are sometimes so dependent on technology its failure can be such a heavy hit on a person. It is almost guranteed that when technology fails us its going to hit us hard in our hearts and hard in our pockets.
Malcolm X once said “Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepared for it today.” In the western world education plays a vital role in shaping our future; it determines if we will survive or fail in the world we created for ourselves. Our world is constantly changing and it requires a society that is well versed in understanding the problems deriving from cultural differences and tolerance of one another’s beliefs and perceptions. With the power of education we are able to deal with the problems of economic, government, religion and culture differences.
