The Disease in the Air
“Hey mom” I said as I walked in the apartment my mother and I lived in together. My dad had died when I was 7 and I was fifteen now with long blond hair and couple freckles around my nose. When I got closer to my mom I saw she was watching TV and crying.
“Hi Aaliyah” She said in a sad voice. “How was school?”
“Whats wrong” I asked
She took a deep breath and said “Aliyah, a disease that started Florida that is spreading around every where has already killed about half of the people on planet” I felt tears welling up in my eyes.
“When did it start?” I asked
“A couple of hours ago” she said “In a couple of more hours all human kind will be dead.”
That night we stayed in the living room and sat on the couch. Eventually we both fell asleep. I kept waking up so what I turn on the TV and watch the news. The news reporter said that the disease had killed over half the United States population. We live in San Francisco so we were far away from Florida but the diseases traveling fast. I set up and cried for about an hour wondering why I wasn 't dead too. All that day I just walked out around the house not knowing what to do I thought about all my family and my horse Desi I just walked out around the house not knowing what to do I thought about all my family and my horse dizzy.
