How did I become such good friends with someone like Darcy Calloway? Gets a little complicated, but back in year seven it was just Darcy and Finn. They were the two popular kids. While they were pulling the girls, I was chasing after a ball on the school’s oval. Naïve baby me, with dreams of high school popularity by captaining the football team. Little did I know popularity at Barrymore Rose Private School did not come because of your talent, but because of your

Imagine being so poor that you feel like you can’t show your friend your house because you are so embarrassed. Music changed Lewis and made him a better person. In the book If I Ever Get Out of Here by Eric Gansworth the book follows the story of a young Tuscarora Native who deals with seventh grade life. Throughout the book, Lewis is faced with many challenges like being discriminated against because he is Indian. However, Lewis is very smart so he spends school days with mostly white kids who pick on him so he has it really rough. Tremaine Townsend, born December 11, 1986 at Sharps Hospital, San Diego, CA, he is my only son, I decided to write about someone who is near and dear to my heart. During that time Tremaine grew maybe a couple of inches, from 5’10” to 6’0” tall, no major growth spurt but that summer Tremaine grew 6 inches, now that is major.
At the beginning of my sophomore year, August 2015, I fractured my left ankle. My second season of cross country had just begun. The whole team had a Saturday practice at Atlanta Memorial Park. I drive my white Nissan maxima over the speed bumps probably a little too fast as I leave the parking lot. Once I reach the stop sign, I take a moment to turn around and look at the beautiful school building behind me. Rigby High School—I can’t believe I go there. To me, that beautiful building is almost as breathtaking as the work out I just finished; running over and over through the halls of the school because it’s too cold to run outside. What used to be a small school when I was young has seemed to grow to be competitive and quite big, and seems to grow bigger each year. I’ve lived here ever since I was three. I have a very balanced and happy life here in Rigby and successful career as a student at Rigby High. I run up to ten miles each day in the fall and spring to become an exceptional athlete in both track and cross country in which I’ve had victorious seasons. I go home to three or more hours of homework each night to get straight A’s in all my classes including AP and college courses. Somehow I have found the time to go to sporting events, parties, and service projects where I have made so many friends that are indeed true characters of strength, joy, and goodness. I have worked very hard to obtain the
A person who has really changed in my eyes, and many other peoples eye, is Alexander Joseph Scott. In sixth grade year Alex was named student of the year because he was the most responsible, respectful, caring, and honest person in the school. Everyone knew him, and everyone loved him. He made straight A's on his report card, and he never got lower than a 95 on an interim. As class clown he made everyone laugh and always knew how to brighten up someone's day if they were feeling down. He never got in trouble and because of this he always had ways to get his friends out of trouble. He was a teacher's pet, but know cared because he was just so lovable. Even when he was in elementary school everyone loved him, he is one the best friends a person can have. That all changed at the start of seventh grade.
