Throughout the history of the United States the citizens have always been afraid of Communism. Since the first Red Scare the government has passed laws such as the Espionage or the Sedition Acts to prevent the spread into the United States as much as possible. Ironically While everyone is trying so hard to prevent this they are being greedy and selfish, two emotions that Marxism would help fix. The same problem persists in Jaws directed by Steven Spielberg, after the first shark attack, the police chief wants to close down all the beaches until they know more but the mayor insists they keep the beaches open to increase revenue. The shark represents the stimulant for change of the town because it has grown too selfish and greedy.
He realizes that his idea of what animals felt like was wrong in its entirely, and through understanding what it is like to be hunted, he becomes less ignorant and naive. The story begins when Rainsford was talking about how he doesn't care about how the preys he hunts feel. “ Who cares how a jaguar feels.” (p.17) This shows us that he is the hunter and his prey is the hunter. He falls from his ship and swims to “ Ship Trap Island’’ where he runs into the owner of the island, General Zaroff. Zaroff has the same philosophy as Rainsford classifying the world into classes, the hunter and the huntees.

Although the rapid dog in "To Kill a Mockingbird" only appears in one chapter and is killed rather quickly, it acts as a symbol for the reoccurring theme of the evilness in racism throughout the book, illustrates the courage that is gained from overcoming difficult situations, and being an experience that allows for the development of maturity. In a setting that is dominated by racism, such as in Maycomb, a majority of the population also have aspects of evilness due to the damaging effects of their racist behavior, which is represented by the rabid dog. During the Tom Robinson trial, Scout thought to herself how watching Judge Taylor was “like watching Atticus walk into the street, raise a rifle to his shoulder and pull the trigger, but watching
Hammerhead sharks are found in ecosystems in temperate and tropical oceans. They live in these types of oceans, because if it was a colder climate they would die from hypothermia and soon the species would become extinct. These sharks like to stay in schools up to 100 in numbers. The reason they stick together is there is more protection in numbers and they can kill bigger prey like big great white sharks. Next Hammerhead sharks gets there name for its flat shaped head and some people think it is useless to the shark.
Man and nature do not have the best of a relationship, which is proven by the way alligators are murdered just for our clothing preferences. Leather is made from the finest of animal skin including alligator. Many people know someone who owns leather, but would they still own it if they knew how it was made? We should not use alligator skin for leather when they were close to extinction once before (Were Alligators almost Extinct). Alligators are abused, poisoned and alive hours after being "murdered" for their skin.
Orcas with different backgrounds and dialects are placed together without much thought about how this could affect them. A killer whale named Tilikum was placed in Sealand and he was expected to perform tricks that he had never done, and if he performed them incorrectly all of the whales were withheld food. “This annoyed the others, so they would rake him with their teeth, causing him to bleed” (Lewis). In the wild, when a dominant orca begins showing aggression the other orca has thousands of miles to swim away and flee the scene. However, these animals are in pools where they do not have that option.
Lennie’s pure strength and actions led his best friend George to kill him, so that he doesn’t get in any more trouble. George killing Lennie was a justified murder because Lennie was too dangerous, Lennie would have been killed anyways, and he only would slow George down and drag him into trouble. Lennie was way too dangerous to be kept alive, because he has no comprehension of his true strength. He was just too mentally challenged to even understand his sheer power. For example, Lennie explains to Curley’s Wife how he unintentionally killed the puppy, “I made it like I was gonna smack him… an I done it.
According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary a Sadist is, “Someone who has delight in cruelty.” The antagonist, General Zaroff from Richard Connell’s short story, Most Dangerous Game is a sadist. The Most Dangerous Game is a story about a man who lives on “Ship-Trap Island”, an uninhabited island amid the ocean. He waits for people to wash ashore and harbors them until he thinks they’re ready to go “hunting”. To General Zaroff hunting is trying to kill a human in a 3-day span. Throughout this story General Zaroff shows components of being a sadist; he does not have a conscience, he is patient, and he is malevolent.
