Teachers are mean they are strict they vicious monsters under our beds waking us up for homework…... but what teachers are actually trying to do for us is to help us have the knowledge we need so that we don't have to face many obstacles in life. People claim teachers are the most hard working people.

It is not easy living off a teacher’s salary. With the salary cuts, and the pressure to purchase their own classroom supplies, teachers will be unable to maintain a comfortable lifestyle. This is all due to the government's irresponsibility. Instead of cutting salaries, the government should focus on increasing them.
American Teacher is a documentary that advocates the many different problems that teachers face teaching in today’s society. It refutes the perception teachers are the problems within the education system and that are things that make it hard for them to successfully run their classroom. The film questions the priorities that our country has when it comes to education. A lot of people believe teachers have short work days and make good pay when in reality they spend more hours in their work day than most and their classrooms are underfunded. American Teacher uses a large collection of teacher testimonies and contrasts it along with the demands of the teaching profession.
Teachers all over the nation have started to protest and strike in an effort to fight for higher wages and funding for their schools (Will 1). The teaching profession is at its lowest level in about 50 years and it will only continue to fall unless solutions are put in place (Edsall
Times are changing, but “teachers, crucially, are not self-sacrificing martyrs” (Jaffe). Even with extensive training, a teacher cannot and
Teacher pay needs to be increased. Programs need like the North Carolina Teaching Fellow Scholarship Program need to be increased especially if there are over two thousand applicants for five hundred scholarships that shows people are
students would try their hardest but still wouldn 't get acknowledged for the hard work they’ve overcome. Now they have to struggle to find a job that at least pays good money to support a family. People are suffering just to support their family and have the necessities they need. No matter how hard they try to succeed, it’s not good
It is no surprise that the past few years it has been difficult to get the appropriate amount of teachers for school. There are people turning away from the teaching field as an option due to the little amount of income it provides. Even teachers who have been teaching are dissatisfied with their job due to the multiple jobs they have to take on in order to pay their bills. However with this pay increase, teachers will want to continue their teaching careers. A school can’t be run without its teachers and this pay increase provides the school with the teachers they need.
Also, because there is a lot of competition, wages aren’t the best for them. For example, teachers do not get enough credit for what they have to accomplish and do not get paid
The person that runs are country doesn’t make as much, people who save lives don’t make as much, teachers don’t make as
Parents should want their kids to be accountable by kids getting their homework done. They shouldn’t have to be paid to get homework done, turned in on time, and done correctly. It should bug you if you don’t have something turned in or if you got a bad grade. Some people say that students will be smarter if they know they are getting paid. That may be true, but students should want to be smarter without getting paid.
Did you know that paying students for having good grades resulted in a decrease in dropout rates, gangs, alcohol, and drug use? Students should get paid for having excellent grades. The reason why this is important is because it could lead to a brighter future for society. Three reasons why students should get paid for having awesome grades is because cash for good grades provide students with career-like rewards, it decreases dropout rates, and with the right incentive, could lead to success. All of those three reasons could and will result in success.
In today’s society, entertainers and professional athletes earn millions of dollars per year, while other professionals who provide essential services, such as teachers and nurses, make a much lower salary. I think this is extremely unfair because certain professionals, like teachers, have so much to offer the world, while entertainers and pro athletes simply provide a source of entertainment. It is absolutely absurd to think that the lowest paid NFL player is still making more than most highly educated doctors. In my opinion, one should be paid according to the job’s economic importance and their value to society. Teaching is one of the most important jobs because our economy relies on the education of its youth, yet teachers are paid less than the average professional athlete is.
First of all, students should not be paid for good grades due to not needed pressure. The NEA claims : many teachers say, “Paying students for good grades leads to practical problems in their classrooms, including pressure to inflate grades and conflict with students and parents.” This means students are more likely to be in bad moods and have bad relationships with parents and classmates. If some kids get money and the rest don’t, arguments will break out. In a classroom, students are supposed to be respectful to each other in order to have and efficient working environment.
“A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops” states Henry Brooks Adams, a historian, educator, and author. In today’s society, teachers are undervalued and underappreciated for the huge part that they play in a child, teenager, and adult’s life. Teachers should be paid more because they contribute more to the future of the world than any other career, help students psychologically and financially, and most students in a survey chose that teachers need to be paid more than their annual salary. Teachers contribute more to the future of the world than any other career. They teach students social and intellectual skills needed to be an effective member of society.
This essay will explained the kind of teacher professional identity promoted by SACE and COTEP under the pillars of curriculum 2005 and NQF forming part of the white paper 1995 in redefining identity and difference in the education system after 1994 and it will also discuss how this identity did not and could not match the realities on the ground. Professionalism is the personal effort to act in a job that reveals fitting attitudes, behaviors and practices of the job. In teaching these attitudes may be: “having specialized knowledge which is the content knowledge and the ability to teach were teachers gain this on a lengthy period of higher education which is a four years to obtain the B ed degree were in the lengthy period teachers in the making learn to focus client interest maintaining a high level of responsibility learning and obtaining the ethical code of conduct” (SAIDE, 2010). By producing good quality results a teacher will be showing professional skills. Professionals require considerable freedom or autonomy to make judgments because they have to draw on knowledge based skills It is also showing that you believe in being professionally autonomous while accountable to the standards of you practice by having professional control over the credentials and the entry to teaching” ( SAIDE, 2010).
