Reflection
After completing this task, I can easily say that I have developed my organisation and time management capabilities. Before this experience, I was completely unfamiliar with what would be needed for officiating a competition let alone what officiating was. I am now capable of conducting useful research before opportunities like this to be able to gain some background knowledge. Through prior research, I learnt that thorough organisation is the key to adequately completing goals and taught me so much before I had even turned up. Having brought all the correct equipment, the experience was made just that bit easier for me and I learnt quickly throughout the day how to efficiently complete jobs with my team members. By managing my workload and always being aware of what jobs I was doing, planning to do and what needed to be done, I used all the time I was given effectively and never felt unorganised in any way. I was beneficially forced to manage my time well due to my crucial job of signalling the end of a game every 18 minutes, of which I am thankful for as it divided the day into surprisingly helpful segments. As I usually had my fellow officials involved in the tasks I was approaching, I was also always developing my teamwork capabilities under the surface. By employing teamwork, I had

All a competitor has to do is rock up and have an enjoyable experience with their friends, whilst an officiator is responsible for the day running smoothly to allow this enjoyment for competitors. It was a good experience feeling like my position at this event was more meaningful than normal, by being an official rather than a competitor and working with a team of professionals to achieve a common goal. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience as an officiator for a Touch Football competition and would gladly accept any offers to do so
The reason I am passionate about teamwork is because when people work together they usually share many characteristics. They have a common purpose each member is committed to. They stay involved until the objective is completed. They care about each other: and, in keeping with this, they are concerned about how their actions and attitudes affect each other. They listen to each other and respect all points-of-view, and are sensitive to each other’s needs.
2. Delegate tasks - By understanding who are better at particular tasks than yourself, delegating can be implemented as a major time saving technique. Providing them with the resources and support they require, they can get the job completed just as well or even better than you could under time pressures. While delegating tasks, you can focus on more important issues that have a larger consequence of not completing. It also gives them a chance to shine, learn and up skill if they haven 't had the exposure needed to develop.
In future years the work we know and do will be changed. With current emerging technologies, such as the 3D printer, Wi-Fi, or mobile devices, jobs have already been impacted from what was done in the ‘olden days’ or before the introduction of these advancements. Three careers have been chosen to display how this information technology (IT) impacts on work, these careers being medicine, education, and journalism. They have been chosen based on how their careers have largely been positively impacted and changed because of these advancements. The examples below will demonstrate how IT has shown to be an overall positive addition to the work industry.
My church plays in the Turkey Bowl Flag Football Tournament every November. This was not only a time to bond with my youth group, but to also create friendships with other church teams. However, there was a problem: my team consisted of players from age 13-20; however, the 13 year olds had little-to-no flag football experience. Consequently, they got less playtime and slowly became discouraged However, as a leader I wanted to show them otherwise: I coached them, helped them, and give them a new perspective on the game.
My heart was briskly pumping. I have never been this fearful and apprehensive for anything in my life. The event that would transform my life forever was happening. This was the day I was going to move out of Florida When I was informed of the news at the beginning of the summer, I was unsure on how to react.
I found myself good at keeping our teammates at peace with each other, and compromising when we are at a disagreement. We all would agree as to what each person would do, and would come together to find solutions to problems. There were aspects that my teammates excelled in, and other aspects that I excelled in. These differences did not separate us, but instead allowed us to grow closer and work together better. Nobody would try to fight over what they did best, and our tasks would all be completed.
The habitual internal clock is becoming more apparent as the game wears on. It is unusually hot for early October in Tulsa, Oklahoma and my whole body feels heavy due to exhaustion and possibly mild dehydration. I am trying to captain my team to a spot in the semifinals in one of the biggest youth soccer tournaments in the state and the clock continues to tick. An opposing player is sprinting full pace down the field with the ball glued to his feet, and I decide that a sliding challenge is my best chance of repossessing the ball. That’s all I remember though, the rest of the game and even that day are became a simple blur.
During my elementary school time, I had learned that this world is full of competition and you have to act out in order to stand a chance. I was quite intelligent in my classes, especially on the subject of mathematics. While I thought nothing of it,as I was bullied for that reason, my teachers saw it differently. Then, during the 4th grade, my teacher, Mr.Green, had asked me if I would like to join the school’s math field day team. At first, I wasn’t so sure, but after a few days, I was now a part of my school’s math field day team, along my twin brother, Anthony.
My time in 4-H, working, volunteering, and my first semester of college have provided me with leadership opportunities and experiences that were often challenging. In order to cope with these challenges, I had to develop skills that would allow me to move forward. The first of which is the ability to work well on a team. This skill is one that I’ve had to practice in many environments such as completing a group project, playing softball, working in food service, and volunteering as a camp counselor.
My team was able to win and succeed in this competition by effectively communicating with one another and getting everything done on time. Another example of when I was a team player was when I worked with my intramural volleyball team and taught my teammates many volleyball skills. While on this team, I had the privilege of having past volleyball experience, but most of my teammates had never played. I spent the time practicing with them and utilized my time by teaching them the basics of volleyball including bumping, setting, spiking, and serving. With my and the rest of my team’s help, one of my teammates was able to overhand serve for the first time.
W-7 – PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES 1. I chose these competences because as a nurse it is vital to maintain professional boundaries and still be able to provide the therapeutic care without personally getting attached to patients. 2. From the article I learned that it is ok to be present with your patient, and caring about what they might be going through as you provide necessary care and support, but not to excessively worrying about a patient in your personal life/home” (p. 407) 3.
1.1 Introduction In today’s environment, the ownership is on us, as an individual to take responsibility for our own development, rather than expecting our organization to do it for us. The question, which always ponders over mind is does my personal skills suits to today’s dynamic world? If not, how do I move forward? Hence, the starting point is to introspect, retrospect and do an evaluation through self-assessment tools in order to know myself, strengths and limitations and my ability to perform in dynamic roles in the business environment.
At our first few meetings, team building was key. In an effort to overcome the initial shyness, we took the time to understand and get to know our fellow team members; in doing so, establishing a welcoming and encouraging environment for everyone to share their ideas whist too ensuring everyone felt appreciated. Getting the team to gel was essential for the team to get results. We met at regular intervals, usually weekly, to discuss and reassess our progress. However, finding the time to meet proved quite difficult, between everyone’s busy schedules and with the plenty of other assignments we all had going on simultaneously.
I was very proud of my team because we manage to reschedule all the projects site in a short period of time. Therefore, teamwork can help each other in performing excellent skills and ideas. 2.8.3 Time management Time management is very important especially dealing with huge a company. Work experience is the best training when it comes to time management. Set deadlines are one of the example of time management.
