Once I took a general chemistry class in high school and that I enjoyed the material, I knew that I wanted to combiner for a career the joy of helping others along with the vast opportunities science has to be able to help people every day. Pharmacy is that career. No matter what type of pharmacy career I get the privilege to have; clinical, retail, hospital, or even compound pharmacy every day will fulfill my goal of helping people become healthier and continue normal life.
I see the Doctor of Pharmacy degree as one that gives me the power not only to influence people’s lives but also their future as well. Responsibility has a large role to having the title of “doctor.” With great responsibility comes great reward, the reward being providing health to those who are sick with great knowledge of the human body and the reactions that medications will have for those who are stricken with all types of illness.

For my career choice, I have chosen pharmacy technician. Pharmacy technician was not my first choice, my first choice was to go into forensic, but then I realized forensic was not really for me. To my surprise, after I turned seven years old, my parents decided to enroll me in professional tennis classes with aspirations of me becoming a professional tennis player. Likewise, many times during practices, I felt comfortable wearing my brother’s shorts because I did not like the clothes that girls were forced to wear. However, many parents had an issue with me dressing as a boy, and in quite a few instances, I was told to act and dress like a girl. Therefore, I did not feel comfortable in my skin because I was a child and did not necessarily understand why people were having issues with the way I dressed or acted.
