Although I may not have given it a lot of thought (because I am young), I would like to become or work as a lawyer. I would like to do this because I feel like I am drawn to the criminal justice career since my dad is a police officer. I would really love being a criminal justice lawyer because I do believe I am good at arguing since I get enough practice with my two brothers and because I like to defend myself. I would love to stand and start defending someone else when their voice is not being heard.
Someday, I do plan on attending college. The college of my choice is not really clear to me yet, but since I would like to be a lawyer I have been looking at top ranking law schools. From looking at that list I have a few choices in

classes. Since there are literally millions of dollars available in scholarship awards, I plan on earning the money that comes with them if I am able to. I plan on accomplishing this by paying attention in class, always finishing my homework on time, and not relying on anyone else to do stuff for me in life.
The type of friends and bonds that I hope to attain will have the characteristics of a nice, loving person who also has a great sense of humor. I would love if their humor was similar or exactly like mine creating us to get along in more ways. I would also like to have a lot of stuff in common with the people that I become friends with. The people I hang out with should not be a troublemaker and should be good in school, academics.
I would like to participate in sports, activities, and other clubs in high school. For example, I would like to try out for the volleyball, basketball, and track team. I feel as if I possess the characteristic of a hard worker, able to pay attention, and can juggle between sports and academics. I carry the educational background that I am a great listener, I can pay close attention in my classes, and I get all of my academic work done and handed in on time. I feel that with this background in my toolbox I am an excellent student and I’m always improving in life.
The person that impacts my life the most and the largest is my mom. Since as long as I can remember my mom has been my role model, she is this amazing woman that when she wants something she goes for it and achieves whatever she wants. She is the person that I feel that I can connect with the most and we share that one of a kind special mother, daughter bond. My mother is the greatest accomplishment I’ve seen and I believe that she is the greatest miracle this entire world has seen. She is beautiful, sweet, caring, amazing, and wonderful. I love her so

High school is one of the greatest pivotal times in a human's life. It is where young adults are able to form their own opinions on the world, find activities they are passionate about, and learn to create fruitful relationships with their peers and teachers. However, I did not initially view high school as a period of time for growth and development. Instead, I saw it simply as another task to complete before I entered the real world. I did not take advantage of all the opportunities around me and I began to find school to be institutionalized or meaningless.
Even though she didn’t go to college, she inspires me to live the life she didn’t have the chance to live. My mother is the greatest impact in my life. Yes, you can say I’m a “momma’s girl”, I love my mother with all my heart. She is beautiful, loving, smart, and I would do anything to keep her happy and by my
What interests you about your selected program of study? Computer science has always been the aspect of study that has grabbed my attention from a young age. CS always created a sense of awe in me because of the fact that individual people, with a firm understanding of CS, could completely manipulate technology into whatever creation they wanted. In the same way an artist can paint on a canvas, computer scientist can create through code and each program carries a sense of the programmer with it. The more you learn about CS the more uses it gains, making it a tool that builds upon itself.
At the age of ten being raised by minority parents was very difficult for me at the time. At the age of ten I was forced for my English and Spanish vocabulary to be very proficient due to always translating for my parents. At that age learning both languages was annoying, frustrating, and difficult; however that experience shaped me to be a proficient bilingual nurse present and gain benefits by being bilingual. The benefits where the many open job opportunities with the increase pay. This experience also assisted to raise my daughter to speak and write both languages actively although just not the way my parents forced it on me.
I am also the first in my family attaining an education. I did not have my mother’s insight of what to do and/or what to expect from college. My main support were my counselors; they helped me not feel alienated as a student. Despite all the circumstances and
A. The Student Teacher As A Growing Professional Areas of Strength (with evidence): In terms of my growth as a growing professional, I have a stronger sense of a "clear commitment to uphold the principles that should govern a democratic and pluralistic community" (Goal 3). I am incredibly thankful to have been taught how to treat others well and how to surround myself with good people. It can be hard to stay true to yourself in high school, but I have a wonderful family who has supported me throughout my entire life. This border will enhance my actions in the future by helping me to see what’s right and wrong in every situation and knowing how to behave accordingly. Volunteering in my community is also a big part of my life because I want to help others in any way that I can. I want to be someone who has left a positive impact on their community.
I wish everyone could have someone like her to look up to in their
Art, throughout my life, has always played an important role in who I am as a person, and choosing a college to help create a career in art is extremely important. Choosing MECA as the college, and art, more specifically, illustration, as a career path were both decisions that I needed to go over. After long thought and asking for help from teachers, friends and family I now know what I wish to pursue. When choosing art as my career path there was a lot to think about, many things came to mind. However it was an easy choice, how could I not choose art?
In order to find out more about colleges, I did some research. First thing I did was simply ask my brother’s friends about colleges. My brother and his friends are at the age where they decide what college they want to go to. I got a variety of answers, but most popular being DeVry University. My brother’s friend goes there and his sister works there.
School is definitely one of my main priorities. I have tried to go to school in the past and have not had much luck as far as staying motivated throughout the process. For a personal obstacle that I have overcome would be not to be selfish. I have a little boy and I am a big part of his life and I need to go to school to make a better life for us and set an example of what he needs to do in the future. For a professional obstacle, I think it would be to encourage myself to stay focused knowing that college will only increase the business and not take from it.
I wouldn’t want to do something that I don’t like to do. Even if I get better money or better insurance. I would want to be happy with what I’m doing with my life. School can actually effect my goal a lot. To get where I want to be school has to come first.
The attributes of a good systems engineer in the Gentry Lee video encouraged me to think about how capable I would be of fulfilling all of the responsibilities of that job. It also encouraged me to think about how well I work within a team to complete a project or task. Although I meet many of the attributes, I don’t meet them all, and I believe that I may not be suitable for a systems engineering job without some alterations to my personality and habits.
