Economics:
After my Careers class, I knew that my future career could be in the area of economics, but I lack knowledge and experience about working in these fields. I have always been passionate about current economic issues, and I stay informed by reading reliable sources such as the Economist that give me insight. This internship is an opportunity to apply what I've learned and investigate deeply into the underlying causes behind them. Additionally, I never had exposure to working in a professional environment, and this internship provides me with the chance to experience working as an adult. Therefore, this internship gives me an opportunity to explore careers in these areas and can guide me to a career that is suitable for me. In conclusion, I'm interested in this internship because I have always been passionate about economic issues and they give me an option to explore careers in this field.

What interests you about your selected program of study? Computer science has always been the aspect of study that has grabbed my attention from a young age. CS always created a sense of awe in me because of the fact that individual people, with a firm understanding of CS, could completely manipulate technology into whatever creation they wanted. In the same way an artist can paint on a canvas, computer scientist can create through code and each program carries a sense of the programmer with it. The more you learn about CS the more uses it gains, making it a tool that builds upon itself.
I enjoy the challenge of thinking through more broadly in my internship and going out of my comfort zone. This internship is pushing me outside of my comfort zone to understand the importance of communications and social media to an
At the age of ten being raised by minority parents was very difficult for me at the time. At the age of ten I was forced for my English and Spanish vocabulary to be very proficient due to always translating for my parents. At that age learning both languages was annoying, frustrating, and difficult; however that experience shaped me to be a proficient bilingual nurse present and gain benefits by being bilingual. The benefits where the many open job opportunities with the increase pay. This experience also assisted to raise my daughter to speak and write both languages actively although just not the way my parents forced it on me.
Excellence is achieved through the continuous pursuit of improvement. Throughout my professional career I have acquired experiences that have propelled my work-skills. However, I believe that I that I am still in need of further experiences to refine and shape my professional character in order to succeed. While my experience with several jobs has provided me with work experience and skills, making me a feasible candidate, an internship by the HACU National Internship Program can provide me with professional skills and focused experiences that will allow for my personal development. Through an internship, I would be exposed to an environment where I would be able to grow professionally.
With the rise of competition in the job market, many students are looking to gain a competitive advantage over their peers. One of the top ways students are trying to differentiate themselves is through participation of internships through cooperative education programs. Large companies like KPMG, RBC and Rogers are now using internship programs to also differentiate themselves by offering students the opportunity for real-life experience. Many other companies however, are struggling to find raw talent, let alone a strong skill set paired with a global mindset. This report will highlight the long-term benefits of internship programs for not only the intern, but also the company.
This will be my first real internship. Although I interned for my father for a while as an Accountancy intern, I know he went extremely easy on me. If my internship is going to be anything like my first week, I am sure it is going to teach me valuable lessons on time management, uncertainty,
“The internship program mimics real life recruitment practices. The employer decides who to hire after students submit resumes and are interviewed. They have to be polished professionals to best display their skills. “Internships are an excellent opportunity for students to test drive their careers and determine if their majors are realistic in the current job landscape,” said Papadakos. “The experience that students gain while on internships also helps students beef up their resumes so they have concrete experience when they graduate.”
When we talk about the alternate methods of recruitment, recruiting new staff from internship program is actually a type of the alternate. An internship program is an opportunity offered by an employer to potential employees, called interns, to work at a firm for a fixed, limited period of time. Interns are usually undergraduates or students, and most internships last for any length of time between one week and 12 months. Hence, we will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of recruiting new staff from the internship program. When the company plan to recruit new staff from the internship program, the company actually will be benefited from getting more choices of candidates to select for different job posts in the company.
Some students are taking the internship to build credits for their major; however, it might take a lot of time from their schedule beside the part-time job. Those struggle can be easier to deal with the flexible and comfortable, which might help them to have the best time management for school and life.
Growing up in the Northwoods, has given me a mindset much bigger than the woods around us. The small town of Rhinelander is always a place that I can call home, and somewhere that I recognize like the back of my hand. Living in such a small town has opened my eyes to just how much each and every business, and person has kept this town a place I call home. If I cannot change the entire world, I want to change the world around me and hopefully influence others with the simple message.
Throughout my college career, I have gone many different directions, from Pre-Physical Therapy to Business and finally made it to Environmental Science. Since a little girl, I have always been fascinated by what makes up nature and finding ways to help the environment which fostered me towards Environmental Science. I have always had compassion and an interest in ecology and learning how why things are the way they are. Hence, I have been passionate how to protect our world today. Therefore, once I found the Environmental and Sustainability Studies program at Tennessee Technological University, I knew that I was in the right place.
What matters most is that you are able to maintain your composure and properly respond to different situations that don’t go as planned (Lesniak, 2017). Regardless of if things happen inside or outside of your control, you cannot let the past dictate your future (Lesniak, 2017). Not everything will go according to plan, which means you have to understand how to adapt, improvise, and overcome (Lesniak, 2017). Having a variety of strategies to navigate situations and being a problem solver means determining which approach is best to take (Lesniak, 2017). Overall, an internship provides you with the opportunity to gain skills that can’t be learned in the classroom and it serves as a stepping-stone to your future (Lesniak, 2017).
Have you ever wondered what the world will be like without medicine? What would it be like to live with no hope for the future if you ever became the victim of a disease or an injury of some sort? If you did, then you most likely realized how important the role of medicine is in the lives of human beings. To my family and I, medicine has been a gift that has allowed us to remain alive and healthy together.
My experience has taught me something different. If someone were to ask me this type of question today, I would tell them that they must first find what they are the most passionate about, and what type of place they would like to work for. For me, that is forensic accounting with law enforcement. I would also tell them that I applied for this internship, got the job, and showed up on my first day before interacting with any of the employees. This is because I went through the whole process before they were present at career fairs hosted by BAP (I believe the first time I seen them at the career fair was Fall of 2017.
Gain Confidence: We may not have the experience yet, or even the confidence to do the job we think we want, however, most internships train students on-the-job and provide a fantastic learning experience for them to build their confidence. This confidence show, especially if you are in the middle of a phone or in-person interview. Build Your Network: Building your professional network is just as important as building your experience. Internships allow students to connect with professionals that are involved in similar work. It’s important to build your professional network.
