When I look back at the years of my youth, a first I only see typical constituents of a childhood well-lived. I made friends with the children of my neighbors, rode my bike around the neighborhood, took fun excursions to the public park in my development, and did various other “normal” activities for kids. However, when I really think back, I recall something about my childhood that was completely atypical and has stayed ingrained in me throughout the years: my love of science. Since I learned to read I have had an insatiable hunger for knowledge of everything and anything in the universe. It was through science that I was always able to answer my questions. There is always something new to learn, and new questions to be asked.

In my early years of high school I became interested in computer science—a science that was unlike any other science I had privately researched. I discovered that computers intrigued me as much as the other sciences, and after additional research it became clear to me that I would follow my passion for science and pursue a career in the technology industry. I have always loved the promise of innovation and invention that science guarantees, and I believe there is no better way to assist the world than through technology. Attending college will provide me with the opportunity to transform into the scientist I have always dreamed of. I wish to make a difference in the world, and to become the best version of myself that I can possibly be. I desire to earn the highest form of education in a reputable university and build long-lasting relationships with people from different backgrounds.
