The main purpose and goal of education is to strengthen the human mind in developing the skills, the knowledge, and an easier way to learn how to deal with specific life challenges that are faced day to day. Education is not about getting ready for life, education is something that never ends. If someone is educated or not, it is clearly shown because education stands out in every person that has it. Being educated is a gift that goes on for life, because every day there is always something knew to learn about. It is like an endless cycle. Education helps build stronger minds, which has lifelong positive impacts on everyone. The main idea of university is a transition to a higher education for students that really enjoy learning as a way of life. In my university education, I expect a challenge and to be able to achieve my goals and reach success. I expect to graduate in Psychology with a program where I can help people manage their personal and professional life, a program where I can learn about the business world and the human behaviors involved in it. Getting to motivate people and develop skills to become an expert in what I truly want to be when I am older, an Organizational Psychologist. Being part of a university where students get to interact and be engaged in …show more content…
With my experience in community service, and my interest in Psychology, I would always be able to offer my help around the university to make it a better place for everyone. Having worked in different places such as local hospitals, local schools and national businesses, I have developed a way to deal with different types of personalities and to face different situations. During my work experience, it was important to listen to the concerns of everyone involved and find solutions that would benefit everyone, I intend to be able to contribute to my university with this
In conclusion, overall I though have own point of view of the purpose of education. Each person wants to be a something in his or her life like a nurse or doctor things. They want to make own decision in their life what is good for then. People want to be a independent they don’t want to stay under someone
All my life I had always loved to help others and set an example. I believe that community service through the program National Honor Society, has greatly impacted my life by showing me how I can put my underlying motivation and cast a full fire of passion. I have always loved to teach and motivate others to try their hardest in school to achieve something above of their expectations. From my love of teaching, tutoring and trying to help understand in "student talk" has always been a strong point to show how rewording something can greatly impact a student's understanding which is all worthwhile. I always make sure to keep my grades up and dedicate time to studying and persevering which has influenced others around me to follow my path to achievement.
At the age of ten being raised by minority parents was very difficult for me at the time. At the age of ten I was forced for my English and Spanish vocabulary to be very proficient due to always translating for my parents. At that age learning both languages was annoying, frustrating, and difficult; however that experience shaped me to be a proficient bilingual nurse present and gain benefits by being bilingual. The benefits where the many open job opportunities with the increase pay. This experience also assisted to raise my daughter to speak and write both languages actively although just not the way my parents forced it on me.
Working on a personal level, especially children, has always appealed to me. Whether it be babysitting, tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering I have always been involved in activities that allow me to interact with others. While attending Ohio State University I discovered some great opportunities to engage in more advanced fields and tie my passion with my major. I became Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) certified and worked with an adolescent male on the autism spectrum multiple nights a week. I worked with my advisor to create and modify a behavior plan with a rewards system to help with his social, vocational, and independence skills.
It has also been about building relationships with my classmates, teachers, and administrators. All of the different pieces of my education have help strengthen me. Over the past three years I have developed as a person, who understands and values community. My discovery and realization is anyone can obtain a job but I desire to transform my eagerness to learn, to help others, and be patient into something more than just a future job or career. I want to make a difference in the life of others.
Education is the knowledge acquired by an individual in order to provide an understanding of something, for this reason, education has a significant meaning in my life. Personally, education demonstrates the sagacity and manners of an individual, the more education a person has, the more prudent its impression would be. My education is important in my life because what I do now it would affect my future. As for now, I am getting prepared to graduate from high school, I am giving all my effort in my last classes in order to graduate with a high GPA. Additionally, my first goal after walking out of high school is to get in college to start planning my future.
I am applying to the Masters of Global Affairs at the Munk School to pursue my interest of studying global healthcare development and its impact on the global system and in reverse the impact global systems have on healthcare. I am in my fourth year of studies and I am graduating this June. My academic background at the University Of Toronto in Equity Studies, Diaspora Transnational Studies, and South Asian Studies has impacted my aspiration to pursue a future in this field. The courses that I have taken throughout my undergraduate study have provided me with the opportunity and the desire to explore how equitable, cultural, economic, and political innovations have been amplified through the enhanced era of globalization and how this has immensely
Growing up in the Northwoods, has given me a mindset much bigger than the woods around us. The small town of Rhinelander is always a place that I can call home, and somewhere that I recognize like the back of my hand. Living in such a small town has opened my eyes to just how much each and every business, and person has kept this town a place I call home. If I cannot change the entire world, I want to change the world around me and hopefully influence others with the simple message.
My areas of interest for college are the minimum population, small class size, a high rating of the college and a friendly and inspiring environment with motivation and opportunities. I want to apply to a competitive university in which it would force me to do the best of what I know in order to get accepted to the school of my choice. By doing this it will help me gain confidence in myself and make me feel accomplished for the knowledge I have. A few schools I am interested in applying for are; Temple University, Penn State University, Drexel University, Thomas Jefferson University, and lastly Buck’s County Community College. Due to the fact that I have experienced a transferring of schools, I was able to see things in a different view.
The goal of education, from my point of view, is to facilitate the development of healthy human beings who are able to support themselves, other humans, and
I have been committed to volunteer as an English and math tutor at Oakland international high school since 2013.a high school that was founded with the help of the bill and Melinda gates foundation for new comers to the united states. It was a great experience for me. Even though I’m only volunteering once a week, due to having two jobs, I still believe I’m making a deference in someone’s life. This contribution to my community is important to me, because I have many things in common with the students in this high school, not only do these students have a tremendous academic disadvantage in the education system, some of them have never been to school before, and some of them have arrived to this country without their parents, and they carry the same ambition I have of becoming successful and returning to their home countries to support their families. also when I first arrived to this country, I had the same background with these kids, I lacked basic skills in math and English and I hoped there was someone there to help.
Throughout countless years of education, one has been taught that education is the key to success. Attending school and maintaining an education is a part of life that many people focus on. Many times, education is perceived as a challenging game in the way that a person must master one level of knowledge to transition onto the next and win the challenge. However, when one has mastered the challenge and the game is over, what is left for a person to do? An individual has two options, either repeat the game or find a new game to play, but is that an option after a student graduates?
My family has been the most significant influence on my life. They have provided a great foundation on which to build my future. From generation to generation my family has taught family values which, in turn, have led to the learning and appreciation of discipline, respect, manners, love, making good choices and being a good example to others. Together, with these tools for building character, introduced to me early in life, I have learned to set high goals for myself and strive to reach those goals and have learned that hard, persistent work is very rewarding.
Education has the ability to alter anyone’s future in a positive way. Although some people do not care about an education, it has the ability to impact life positively. As a little girl, I struggled a lot due to the low level of education my parents had. They spent most of their time working and therefore, I had to learn how to do most things on my own. Due to my struggle as a child, I will continue my education because, otherwise, my future, family, and community will suffer.
The purpose of education is to create the “catalyst”, - the interest, the imagination, the self-confidence, the enthusiasm for further knowledge that helps a person grow beyond what they believe they can be. Education should help develop skills and knowledge, so students can be productive members of society. The more knowledge you have, the more opportunities you have in life. I think back to my childhood and the teachers that made an impact in my life. I want to be that catalyst for students.
