Choosing a career in the medical field can very be overwhelming, there are a multitude of options. The job that is in demand the most is Registered Nurses. This degree, at the minimum, requires an associate’s degree. By the year 2020, all R.N.’s will need to have a BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing); Bachelor’s degree programs are 4-year programs. But don’t stop there, after 2-3 years of on the job experience, find what area you would like to specialize in, and go on and earn that Physician Assistant degree.
This senior project will teach me to have good time management and self determination. In order for me to complete my senior project and get a good grade on it those two things are extremely important! I know that it will be a struggle to be able to do my senior project along with all the work form my other classes, but I know that i can do It and make a good grade! This is very important to me because this senior project will determine whether or not I become a Medical Assistant because i may not enjoy it or i may really like it! None of my parents went to college so going to college and getting a good job is also extremely important to me!
I want to be a physician because I want people to grow old. At the age of 6, one of my closest friends was diagnosed with leukemia. By age 8, the disease claimed his life, robbing him of the opportunity to experience the privilege of growing old. Unfortunately, we live in a society of vanity. We see the process of aging and choose not to embrace it.

I had to make a hard decision, I really liked my high school art teacher but I didn’t feel the traditional art classes in my high school could prepare me for a commercial art career. I entered the Commercial Art class as the Union County Vocational School share-time program with for high school students.
A physician assistant works to treat patients by performing exams, analyzing medical history, and developing a treatment plan. They work closely with doctors and other middle-level practitioners in order to do what’s best for their patients. PAs can also order and interpret patient’s tests, and assist in surgery. One important aspect of a PA is they are caretakers. If patients are ill or in need of help PAs are able to help every step of the way and provide not only medical, but emotional support.
Personal Statement I come from a large family with relatives from a little ranch in Chihuahua, Mexico. Many of which have never made it past grade school. Mainly due to their mother, my grandma, she had fallen very ill. Due to her condition and lack of money my aunts and uncles dropped out of school to work and help pay for her medication and medical expenses. The older siblings had to take care of the younger siblings.

Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to make a difference and help anyone in need that I possibly could. From the start of my childhood, I can recall helping my mother care for my great grandparents, so they would be able to live out the rest of their lives from their home, instead of in a nursing home. As a young child it was extremely difficult to live with and watch my loved ones deteriorate as they got older, as their condition got worse and worse, and saw my mother having a difficult time keeping up with caring for both of my great grandparents 24/7, it put a lot of stress on the family.
