If I were to be selected as a leader of the Cybersharks, I would focus more on unifying the team to where everyone has a position so that they can have some responsibility so that they can be included in the team’s successes. Something that I experienced in the past while first joining robotics was that I felt left out and not useful. I did not have a designated position which made me feel like I wasn’t needed in this organization, so by including everyone, they would be more involved and have more drive and dedication placed into this program.
Based off the last season, the main problem for the Cybersharks is that we had a plethora of ideas but were not able to create one functioning design that was reliable. Our builders were new and were

I strongly believe that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, so I want to be able to motivate every member to actively participate because everyone is important, and they are all able to contribute to the team in some way. I am very compassionate and emotional, but these qualities allow me to see situations in different perspectives. I am able to recognize other people’s feelings which help me to effectively communicate and create strong social relationships with others. A leader to me has grit. “Grit is a distinct combination of passion, resilience, determination, and focus that allows a person to maintain the discipline and optimism to persevere in their goals and even in the face of discomfort, rejection, and the lack of visible progress.” So like most people, I have dealt with my fair sure of rejections and failures; however, it has only helped me grow as a person and allow me to learn from my mistakes. Being a leader is being able to overcome obstacles and be able to stay positive and optimistic in order to achieve a larger goal.
If you could change one thing in the robotics program, what would it be?
-If I could change one thing about the robotics program, I would change its dynamic. Within a team, there are only so many roles to be filled which is an issue because then most members are left without a position. This can lead to them felling left out and unneeded because they are not contributing to the team.
My robotics team and myself had to work together to create a robot that would complete tasks specified by the First Tech Challenge. We had to work together to decide what we wanted to achieve, and create a design to accomplish those goals. In particular, I worked a lot with the other programmer on our team because we were both new to the process and had to teach each other, as well as ourselves, many aspects of programming. This helps to prove that I am able to work well with others, listening to what they have to say as well as sharing my own thoughts and ideas. I believe that a good leader is able to work with others as well as work alone.
Leadership is the action of leading a group or organization. To be an effective leader one must be honest, trustworthy, and contain a large amount of integrity. The traits and qualities of an effective leader were taught to me during my time in JROTC. JROTC stresses its core values of honor, courage, and commitment to all of its members. Cadet's are expected to uphold these three values in every aspect of what you do as a cadet in this program.
I possess all the traits necessary and even more to be a good leader. I am patient, friendly, and most importantly dedicated. One thing I will never do is give up, even if I don’t get it right off the bat. When I face challenges, I don’t accept defeat after the first try. Instead, I challenge myself until I get it right.
I make sure I am always leading by example and maintaining a strong work ethic. The way I am currently influencing the performance of my colleagues in the Military Division is by consistently meeting my performance requirements every quarter, and continually assessing how I can coach others to do the same. I lead my military admission team by supporting and assisting team members that have worked in the organization for as little as 6 months and as long as 6 years. I also focus on how I can help the entire graduation team meet their goals with financial clearance and continuing student body requirements. Leadership is needed in all areas of higher education, therefore I believe it is beneficial to have strong leadership and guidance provided on the front end and that will help maintain the successes of students and staff long
I was born in Guadalajara Jalisco and raised on a small ranch called Atemajac de Brizuela. My dad left when I was small kid, but came back when I was three years old. One year later my sister was born. Once my sister was born my dad decided to come to the United States because he knew that he had better opportunities here than in Mexico. Four years after that I came to the U.S.A at the age of nine not knowing a single word of English.
Ive had many opportunities where I 've presented myself as a leader. I was Normandy Vice Captain in Yr 7 and currently the captain of my club soccer team. 2. What leader skills do you recognise in yourself?
I was taught to work hard and never give up. Leadership is also a very important pillar in the National Honor Society. A leader is a person who guides others with their actions or words and influences others in a positive way. I feel that I am a leader in many ways. I participate in many different
Although I had to overcome many obstacles, the concept of determination was especially important throughout the journey. I have worked very hard to earn the opportunity to even be considered for National Honors Society. Another quality I can speak to is my positive attitude. There are many qualities that make up a good leader, and I hope that I can set an example for others. I provide creative ideas, I am very passionate about everything that I am involved in, I have a drive for success, and do not break under pressure, especially in a leadership role.
A leader must be willing and ready to not only give orders but receive them. The group cannot thrive with a leader who does not adore what they do. The leader must be devoted and excited about what they do. A leader can have respect from every single member of the group but without the
Throughout my life, I have always felt a call to serve others. Whether in an athletic setting, academic classroom, or one of my many other pursuits, I often find myself taking on a leadership role. No matter what setting might be, I call upon certain leadership traits that have helped me be successful thus far in life. As a leader, I set goals that benefit the group in the long run while insuring that each individual reaches their full potential in best serving the group. I do this by making sure each person knows that they can contribute something beneficial to the group and that all of these persons can help in a way that utilizes their own talents.
What makes a leader is the skills they possess, skills that are earned through experiences and enhanced over time. Prominent skills that I have earned and that have helped me during my tenure as a leader in varying degrees are; compassion for the objectives at hand,
At the age of ten being raised by minority parents was very difficult for me at the time. At the age of ten I was forced for my English and Spanish vocabulary to be very proficient due to always translating for my parents. At that age learning both languages was annoying, frustrating, and difficult; however that experience shaped me to be a proficient bilingual nurse present and gain benefits by being bilingual. The benefits where the many open job opportunities with the increase pay. This experience also assisted to raise my daughter to speak and write both languages actively although just not the way my parents forced it on me.
Being a leader doesn’t involve the leader doing all the work and claiming all the credit. Instead the leader helps everyone achieve a common goal. I view myself as a
In addition to Student Council, I am responsible and dependable as a student and fellow peer. However, the reason why I feel I need to improve my leadership is because I need to demonstrate more leadership within the classroom. I will do this by speaking up more, offering opinions, giving feedback to the teachers on common issues all the students are facing, and so
One of the most important characteristics of a good leader is that they must be actually prepared to lead under any circumstance. This sounds like something that should go without saying, but it is surprising just how many people who are in a leadership role are not prepared to take an active role in leading their team. A good leader does not sit back and observe what is going
