A goal is a dream put to work. My goal in life is to be a successful, educated, woman. I am currently a member of an abundant amount of organizations, have maintained a GPA of a 3.7, and stayed within the top 8% of my class. The organizations and Honor societies that I take part in are band, where I am the drum major and a flute player, National Honor society where I am the secretary, the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Student Council where I am the vice president, UIL academics where I participate in in speaking events, and the yearbook staff. These organizations have taught me discipline, good work ethics, and leadership.

Responsibility plays a major factor in my future. I plan to become an attorney and this job requires very much responsibility. I know that I am responsible for my actions, and the work that I do. Teamwork can be hard for most; however, I am a very cooperative person. When I am required to work in a team, for example on a project, I keep everyone engaged because of my positive attitude. I treat all of my team members with respect and listen to everyone’s opinion which aides us toward reaching our goal which is to finish the project with good quality. Trust for an attorney is the most important aspect. Trust can also be understood as integrity. I am always able to give back honest feedback, and can be trusted. I am an officer for the Student Council and National Honor Society and I am trusted with these positions because of my integrity. In my high school’s marching band I am the drum major and in order to be chosen you must go through an interview with the judges. The judges have chosen me to be the drum major for two years because I am an honest candidate. I have taken part in vigorous classes and the work that is required for these classes must have good quality. I care about my work, not just getting it done. In the Carrizo Springs National Honor Society I am an officer, I am the secretary. In my high school’s marching band I am the drum major, which is the authority figure right under the band director. Last, but not least I am the Vice President for my high school’s student council. My freshman year I also played a leadership role, I was the vice president for the class of 2016. Lawyers are leaders, the decision makers, defenders. Playing the leadership roles in these organizations will help me in the future because a characteristic a lawyer must have is leadership. I must be able to make wise decisions and as the drum major, when the band director is not present I must step up and be able to know what the next move is. Leaders must also set the example. I set the example for my fellow band, National Honor Society, and student council, members. I set the example by maintaining good grades, behavior, and character. Part of my job as a leader is to inspire others. I inspire other members of the organizations I participate in to do better, academically and mentally. I inspire others to do better academically by making good grades and maintaining a high rank in my class. Mentally I inspire others to do better by having a positive attitude. Moreover, I believe that I have been an effective role model for younger students and my peers through my behavior in and out of the classroom. I have been well behaved, respectful, and overall promoted the ideals of a good leader through my actions rather than my words or position of authority. As a member of the National Honor Society, I would promote the ideals of the society by modeling them in my behaviors and leading others to follow
Being an active member of civic engagement in both my community and my high school has served me great pride within these past four years. I knew before my freshman year that I wanted to get involved right away in hopes that I would make friends and help some people out, but I truly had no idea what kind of impact my involvement would give me. I started off by simply enrolling in some clubs, including KeyClub and FBLA, but then worked my way up to eventually becoming President of both clubs by my senior year. I have also been a voted class officer all four years of high school, and won Class President my senior year. I am a leader in my school's SADD chapter as a member of the Executive Council as well, and find leadership around other female athletes as a four year varsity athlete myself.
Over the course of my academic career, I have developed several positive traits that make make me a qualified candidate for National Junior Honors Society. My experience from being in a variety of school clubs and leadership positions has equipped me with the necessary character traits for an aspiring National Junior Honors Society member. I pride myself on being reliable, ambitious, and versatile. I have gained most of these traits through being in positions of responsibility.

As a candidate for membership in the National Honor Society, I believe that I possess the qualities needed to be inducted. I am interested in joining the organization because I am confident in my leadership qualities and want to help the community. I have achieved the Honor Roll every quarter since it was available in Elementary. In 6th grade, I earned the Westchester County Clerk’s Distinguished Student Award from Timothy C. Idoni. plus, on my last year at A.B. Davis Middle School, I have merited the Triple C award from the Westchester Attorney General.
Moreover, I have worked very hard throughout high school to better myself and those around me in the many ways mentioned above. I also serve as a role model, both inside the classroom and out, by pushing myself to accomplish goals even I do not always believe I could, always respecting others and listening attentively to the opinions of people around me, and making an effort to enrich the lives of others. I am hopeful the National Honor Society will help me develop this further, and thank you for taking hte time to read my application.
It is an extraordinary honor to be considered as a candidate for the National Honor Society. Being considered means I have achieved my goal in demonstrating my determination- in school and outside of school- and my willingness to aid people in my community. Being a part of such a prestigious organization is an enormous responsibility to which I will fully devote my time. Ever since I was a freshman, my goal was to work diligently to be among the highest scholars and to be accepted into this scholarly “hall of fame”. Through my relentless hard work and perseverance, I believe that I possess the four characteristics of a National Honor Society member- leadership, service, character, and scholarship.
Many posses the commitment to the qualities of scholarship, leadership, service, and character, but how one uses them shows the core of their disposition. For each of these qualities, there are many traits, useful in a leader, and not. Since it is only my second year as a student at Carlsbad High School, there has not been much time of my being distracted from my school work as I try to be as diligent of a student as possible. However, from time to time, I take a break and do things for the community instead. The students that make up the National Honor Society are extremely dedicated in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character, and I would be very grateful to be a part of the standards.
The Vice President of the Mills Park Middle School National Junior Honor Society is obligated to uphold a substantial leadership status and accentuate the five pillars of NJHS, amidst both their peers and respective communities. Furthermore, the Vice President ought to assist and collaborate effectively with the selected NJHS President. A President and a Vice President that can unite and take on a challenge together, establish an unbreakable bond that reflects remarkably on the society being led. This strong relationship applies not only to the President, but to the other officers and members of the National Junior Honor Society as well. It is the role of an NJHS officer to represent the voices of the students and form a collective opinion.

Ever since I was a child, I've loved science. In elementary school, I delved myself in science clubs and experiments, from experimenting with water to making volcanoes and........ Since then, the thrill of learning science and its application was instilled in me. In middle school, I began to love solving intricate problems, and tried to delve even further; I started designing new experiments with my friends in science club (KIR) such as making paper speakers, investigating magnetic properties, and making batteries out of the lead. I realized that experimenting and trying something new with the knowledge I had are my passions.
and I was accepted right away then, I enrolled to BMCC for my credit classes. After my first semester, because of my good academic standing and my hard work, I was invited to join Phi Theta Kappa and now I’m a formal member of this honor society. During my first semester, I joined to the Essence of Earth Club but because of a disagreement between the president and her group, the club got disintegrated. Furthermore, because she is leaving the next semester she though that I could be a good potential for the leadership of the club, because of my sense of responsibility and my ability to address and help with problems.
I sincerely care for the student body, and my service-oriented approach ensures that I prioritize their needs and interests at all times. I believe that every student deserves a voice and a chance to succeed, and by being student council president, I will be in a better position to address their issues, advocate for their rights and support their growth. Thirdly, my competency in communication is excellent, which I believe is essential in being an effective leader. I have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and I know when and how to use them appropriately to convey my message clearly and effectively.
These five however, I don’t think they conclude my list, but they are somewhat relating to me. Working as a team mean being loyal to the group and helping one another. This is good because it strength my leadership skills. I can see myself doing good as a team member. At my work, I am an easy person to approach which I believe is a good thing when we talk about teamwork.
The ideas that I come up with, will be able to help people. I would improve things in life that people thought would never be able to be fixed. I would be proud if I was able to make the life of other people
