In the fall of 1997 I became a Young Life volunteer leader and almost instantly I knew ‘I was made for this mission!’ Ironically, a few years later I came on staff with Young Life and our organization started using the tag line “You were made for this”. Since then, I have never felt more in sync with an organization than I do with Fuller. The ideals, background and family the seminary has created appeal to the person God has created me to be. I feel well prepared to begin the Master’s in Theology degree this Winter and I could not be more excited!
It has now been eleven years since I started staffing with Young Life and I am prepared to start the next stage of my education. While the proximity of the Menlo Park extension is practical, my real passion for attending Fuller is the diversity within the staff, students & denominations represented. I have been privileged to meet many quality Fuller graduates whose high caliber confirm the seminary’s excellent reputation.
Through Young Life, Jesus has opened my eyes to the needs of His church & the lost world He loves. Pursuing a Masters in Theology would allow me to deepen my ability to see Jesus present in the world. I know God has always been at work in the church and will continue to manifest himself through His followers. I want to see The

This thought of teaching others to pursue revitalization through Jesus excites me to no end! I have had the honor of experiencing this in my current church through the leading of bible studies, preaching occasionally and teaching evangelism. It has proven to be useful to the body and an inspiration to me. If I could increase the depth of my training through Fuller, I am confident my impact to Jesus’ body would be multiplied! The end result would be the renewal of faith and enthusiasm for Christians and church bodies who could live more fully into their identity in
Surely as a sign from God, Rob called Aubrey and I almost two years to the date that I had started with the University and explained that he was awarded this new FSR in San Angelo, TX. He asked if we would be interested in joining him for this once in a lifetime opportunity in a community that had lost a veteran operator to a stroke. We felt in our hearts that this was God’s calling for us, and I was thankful that he was calling me back to a company that I love
As a Baptist church, they hope every guest will join them in their mission to become more like Jesus Christ, and they will do everything they can to support you along your spiritual journey. Friendship Baptist Church’s pastor, Dr. Paul Cowles, delivers compelling, relevant sermons that resonate with long-time followers and newcomers alike. Every Sunday, they hold a morning worship service, as well as a special worship service for students later in the day. On Wednesdays, they hold student ministry meetings as well as adult choir gatherings, so members receive another wonderful opportunity to sing, learn, and praise the word of God. They also offer Sunday School for children and adults, with separate, helpful classes divided into six different age groups.
A while back I had two significant events in my life. One, was my graduation from Nazarene Bible College with a Batchler of Art in Ministry with a focus of Leadership and Ethics. The learning I achieve in that program brought me to a new belief in myself and a living illustration for my young boys. Second, was completing a program (no longer in existence) called "Beeson Institute for Advance Church Leadership." (Asbury Seminary)
Imagine being the daughter of a pastor, who has to live up to her family 's expectations, how would you feel? While being an example in church, yet living in another city attending a four year university in her graduating year, this leader is as strong as they come. Leah Shoff is a 22 year old who has put her entire life effort forth for God. Even though she has attempted to live part of her life without God, she was never successful in doing so. Constantly under a lot of stress, Ms. Shoff is currently attending Vanguard University as a Senior with a major in business, and she still keeps in great contact with her family; especially her family who is runs Palmdale Lighthouse Assembly of God.
I recently received a notification of the job opening at the Wasatch Hills Seventh-day Adventist church and could not help but become deeply inspired and interested in the position. Over the past few months, I have been in deep thought about how to best serve the Lord as I end my journey here at the seminary. None of the positions that I have seen have really moved me strongly until I saw this one; it is the perfect niche of where I believe I could be of service. I have a deep passion for youth, choosing to constantly serve in Sabbath School divisions since I graduated from high school. I love seeing youth grow closer to Jesus, each other, and their families, both church and literal.
Participating in library study sessions with friends and peers has not only strengthened my understanding of course material but has also promoted a culture of shared learning, where ideas are exchanged, and knowledge is co-constructed. Engaging in campus ministries, such as the Homeless Ministries and Worship Praise Team by serving as a praise team leader and performer for various worship services, has deepened my understanding of the importance of service and developed a sense of empathy and compassion in my personal & spiritual growth. Collaborating with others in these contexts has provided me with a sense of purpose and fulfillment while fostering a continuous cycle of learning throughout my academic
I have chosen to apply to Covenant College because I seek a deeper relationship with the Lord that transcends into every area of my life, and I believe that I can facilitate that growth with the Christ-centered curriculum and community Covenant has to offer. I see the importance of being a witness to Christ at a secular university, but during my college education I want to better equip myself to proclaiming Christ in my profession and day-to-day living. Throughout the next formative years of my life, it is important to me to surround myself with young people who serve the Lord. Encouraged by conversations with my admissions counselor and information on the website, I believe I will easily mesh into the dynamic that exists at Covenant and cultivate lasting relationships. In addition, I tremendously value access to nature.
Liberty University has been training champions for Christ since its founding in 1971. The mission statement reads, “Liberty University develops Christ-centered men and women with the values, knowledge, and skills essential to impact the world” (Educational Philosophy). Students that attend this institution are held to incredibly high standards, both in and outside of the classroom. One of these standards is the requirement of twenty hours of Christian service.
The community and legacy of Baird Scholars is one that focuses on excelling and improving, not only oneself, but the entire community as a whole. Looking forwards, I feel I could greatly contribute to the Baird community. Throughout high school, I always took challenging or advanced classes in order to push myself, and to expand my knowledge. I also had many experiences both as a leader and a volunteer. My main experience in leadership was in the Tanque Verde Bible Club, a group started by a fellow student and carried on by a group of five leaders.
First, I believe by obtaining my Master in Theology from Liberty University it has helped me develop a stronger and deeper understanding of God’s word. My studies at Liberty have set me up for success in the Doctorate Program at Liberty. Liberty seminary staff has very knowledge staff and motivates their students to excel in their studies and gain a full understanding God’s word. The instructors at the Rawley’s Seminary school has a great depth of knowledge and wants the seminary students to gain a deeper understanding of God’s word to be able to minster to other people around the world. We need strong Christian based teachers to educate not only the Churches, but the entire world on why we need to believe in our living God.
I am most attracted to Loma Linda University’s mission to make man whole and continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ and its commitment to faith and science. As a Seventh-day Adventist christian, the motto to make man whole has never been more personal than it is now. As I grow in my experience as a christian, to further the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus continues to take center stage. This mission and an understanding of the need for whole person care is something I seek to demonstrate and encourage through my profession as a nurse and involvement in my community.
We are writing in connection with Brannon and Shana Hogan’s move to your congregation. Brother and Sister Hogan lived in our area for a number of years and attended meetings briefly when they first arrived. When asked why they stopped Brannon mentioned in his previous congregation he was given too much responsibility too soon. This was made worse by his tendency to be a perfectionist which caused him emotional stress. He was afraid by returning to meetings he would find himself back in the same situation.
Coming from a different culture but still embracing the Christian values that Loma Linda University emphasizes, I believe that my unique background and personal experiences distinguish my application from others. Growing up in Egypt, where the gap between social classes is significant, my parents always stressed the need to prioritize service into my life encouraging me to dedicate time in volunteering and helping others. As a result, my experience has grown from volunteering to serve as a camp leader for orphans in the summer to participating in international dental service trips. These involvements would allow me to use my skills in organizing missions trips at Loma Linda. Being a Coptic Orthodox Christian enables me to add diversity to the
This review will also apply the contents to current day ministry. Summary The introduction of the book begins with Jim Putnam telling his story of how he started Real Life Ministries, a church that now totals over 8,000 people.
Accomplishments as a Pastor On June 22, 2002 I was unanimously voted to be the pastor of the New Macedonia M.B. Church in Tampa, Florida. I was installed as Pastor in October of the same year. With a inspirational outlook to continue in the will of God, I continued in the legacy that was left by my the grandfather, Rev Odell Glover (deceased), who had served as pastor for almost 27 years. In my fourteen (14) years as Pastor of New Macedonia, the following programs have been established: · The Glover's Scholarship — designed to give a monetary grant to graduating high school students who will be attending a institute of higher learning · The Saturday Morning Mace — this extension of weekly prayer meeting is offered to our community and fellow
