Being an active member of the community that surround us is a priority in today’s society. Therefore, having the opportunity to assist seminars, partake in internships, study abroad or simply engage myself in activities where I will be able to discuss current issues and network with the leaders of today and tomorrow, is definitely one of those experiences that I’m looking forward the most. In addition, I believe that being part of such a diverse program and university will offered me the necessary tools to emerge as a more understanding, caring and accepting human being. I believe that The Honors College will be able to continuously feed my intellectual curiosity and my desire to become a better global citizen. I look forward to the challenges and opportunities that studying in your university may present, and will definitely value the opportunity of adding a bit of myself to your institution while hopefully being able to conquer new obstacles through my
College is a place where you are transformed into the person you want to become in the future. I want to be a part of the Cougar Counseling Team because I think I would be a valuable asset to the team. I want to help spread positivity and help others through their college experience to make their time at College of Charleston enjoyable. I like to think I am a positive role model who can encourage and support others who seek out help. I have always been the friend that others seem to come to when they need someone to express their feelings. When my friend recommended that I should be a part of the team, I did research on what the team did in the college community and instantly wanted to be a part of this ground-breaking team.

I used school as an outlet in order to aid my cognitive development. My constant access to school helps to prove the Neo-Piagetian Cognitive Development theory. The constant access allowed me to grow and develop cognitively thanks to my exposure to context, culture and my peers. (Dimmitt, 2018) The exposure to school and my incomplete microsystem could only get me so far, however. In order to get to college, I needed to consider my exosystem and how I could be independent without relying on my

The most character building experience in my life was when I joined the National Junior Honor Society in middle school. Engaging in NJHS has molded me into honing the attributes of leadership, citizenship, scholarship, service, and character. For instance, involving myself in community service like Relay For Life, not only aided me with the chance to assist my community but has helped me to develop citizenship and service. Furthermore, being in the organization has made me realize that I can assume the role of leadership and guide my fellow classmates by being a role model. Consequently, I became further aware of the importance of education and have been gradually becoming, increasingly studious.
Being so close to home will allow me to branch out and experience life while also having a sense of familiarity with the area that I have grown to know and love. My major which is not entirely offered at UNC Wilmington is very important to me as I strive to become an athletic director, but I have spoken to a few people that are taking the same career path as me that have told me that the admissions department was eager to work with them to piece together exactly the courses they need. The entire atmosphere just makes me feel more comfortable than other places that I have the options of being and when I see myself in the next years I see myself at UNC Wilmington. This would be the best decision for me not just for the reasons mentioned above, but for my well being in order for me to
