The main reason I want to study law is because I enjoy helping people. My interest in law, human rights, social justice and fairness are deeply rooted in my upbringing. My parents instilled in me the drive to achieve self-worth through selflessness. Selflessness and hard work drives me relentlessly till this very day. The world 's population is hovering a little over 7 billion while world resources remain scarce. Wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few minorities. This is problematic. Proper regulations and social policies are important in maintaining social order, fairness and prosperity. Studying law will help me assist those less fortunate by advocating legal issues that bridge social gaps and disparities. I believe every human being should be awarded the same opportunities to lead a fulfilling life. …show more content…

It is like the glue that holds all other components together. Law is required in every aspect of civil human existence. If you want to trade, you need laws. If you want to travel or communicate you need laws. If you want to develop medicines for the sick, you need laws. If you want to educate or govern, you need laws. If conflict arises, you need laws to settle any disputes.It is inescapable. For these reasons, law fascinates me and I would like to dedicate my life to it. After graduating with a degree in International Relations, I worked in the business sector for a number of years. Everything in the business world is driven by profit. This went against my core belief of helping people. My dedication and ambition to study law stems from my core belief that profit is good but regulatory laws are necessary to make sure people 's well-being are not sacrificed solely for profit. I hope to use my law degree in an area best suited to protect public interest from exploitative profit driven
