Throughout my life I experience many situations and many talents that I grew among over the years. During my childhood, I learned how to Hmong dance, sewing Hmong clothes, learned about my religion, interact with my family and I especially enjoyed making beads bracelets. Not only that, but I am began interesting different cultures as well. Because different cultures are unique and fascinating to learn and to know about. I experience a life as a fatherless child ever since in fifth grade.
Ever since I was a child, I've loved science. In elementary school, I delved myself in science clubs and experiments, from experimenting with water to making volcanoes and........ Since then, the thrill of learning science and its application was instilled in me. In middle school, I began to love solving intricate problems, and tried to delve even further; I started designing new experiments with my friends in science club (KIR) such as making paper speakers, investigating magnetic properties, and making batteries out of the lead. I realized that experimenting and trying something new with the knowledge I had are my passions.
As a native Cuban, I always appreciate medicine very much. I was limited myself to good healthcare access because my prior country’s healthcare system was not advanced, it had limited resources was not organized in a fair way. In this situation, I realized I needed to learn medicine myself and be in a position to take care of my loved ones and also help as many needed people as I could so I became a doctor. This passion for medicine has continued my whole life, and that is why in this country I am pursuing a career as a nurse.
I volunteer for different types of things like my doctor’s office, family business, and religious organizations. I volunteer at my doctor’s office by helping the nurses with the patients, and cleaning up after them. I volunteer to help manage the family business and give them a hand with different tasks. I spend an abundant time volunteering for religious organizations like Indian dances and activities by organizing events and planning things out. I have had many different outstanding educational experiences in my past, like AP and Honors classes, clubs and volunteering in my community.
Physicians and surgeons examine patients, obtain medical histories, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. Physicians often work closely with other healthcare staff including physician assistants, registered nurses, and medical records and health information technicians. Physicians and surgeons may work in a medical specialty, such as cardiology, dermatology, pathology, or radiology1. This field interests me due to the shortage of doctors in certain areas and it is a way that I will be helping the community2. My grandfather inspired me to become a physician because he had always wanted someone in the family to be in the healthcare field.
During the summer of my sophomore year, I undertook the task of learning how to build and design web pages. After many trials and errors, I finally understood the code, the design, and the hard work that comes with creating, designing, and coding a website. Before I had the idea to create a business, I did many practice runs sometimes doing web page design for school projects and for family. As I gained more and more confidence as a web page designer, I consulted my twin brother and two childhood friends about starting a company. After almost 6 months of deliberation and planning, we finally created a company called creative design in the late fall of 2015.
The events that occurred within your career, how you dealt with this event and what the outcome was. The business I am currently working on is engineering & construction. My company, Amec Foster Wheeler, British multinational consultancy, focuses on providing engineering and project management service to customers. Having been working for over 5 years continuously including one year within power plant industry as electrical maintenance engineer. All the events that occurred within my careers have given me valuable experiences and new challenges in my life.
The decisions we make early in life have a great effect on our Future. Ever since my childhood, I have always wanted to become a successful businessman and make something great and valuable for my future life , something that would make my parents proud of what I am as a person and what I have accomplished . So choosing the Bachelor Degree of International business as my major would open me too many doors on becoming an effective and efficient entrepreneur, and I believe following this major would lead me towards my path to success. Whereas this field of study consists of the main majors of business such as marketing, finance, human resources, and Management all taken together to deliver the perfect program.
As an International studies major, one of the first things we learn in our intro classes is about the up-and-coming superpower of China. We discuss the importance of China and its rising economy. The industry in China has boomed in the recent years, and they are now a country to truly focus on. Learning this knowledge moved my interest towards China. Throughout my education, I have come to understand that China has a drastically different culture from the United States.
I feel like starting off dumb and getting serious so I can get into a writing zone and it won’t be awful. Some dumb thing that I need to do to make my life better would be I really need to find something to read that isn’t manga. Why? Because I’m a huge book lover and I always feel empty without a book and I want to fall in love with a book again and not want to put it down, which I can do with manga but my manga is taking forever to come in from the library and the volumes only take me an hour to read and I need something a little bigger. To get deeper with why I like to read is because I love the feeling of escaping, of being away from all of the hardships of my life and to see all the other problems of fake people, and think about the world
Carl Rogers quote “The good life is a process, not a state of being. It’s a direction not a destination” really spoke to me on a personal level. I have a perfectionist personality. I am often always looking forward to the next goal. In college, this was a constant struggle for me.
My commitment to public service is driven by a desire to lead, an eagerness to collaborate, and most importantly, a passion for delivering positive change. Growing up in a small town in Morocco with very little resources, if not almost non, did not stop me from having the eager to learn about global issues and stay up to date about current events. The Bosnian war was an event which shaped the path I want to pursue. At the age of four-five, that passion and curiosity of finding ways to solve issues in peaceful ways rather than violence erose then. My repeated questions about the existence of conflicts and violence were frustrating to my family.
I am fortunate to have found what I love to do early in my life. My exposure to sustainable concepts is not something I had planned or anticipated. However, after active involvement in sustainability projects related to alternative energy, water reduction and waste recycling I have discovered that there is no other field which I would rather focus my efforts toward. Upon reflection, I realize my academic choices, professional experiences and personal beliefs have created a path that has led me to this revelation.
anything and this is something that I truly believe because I’m always open to learning or to doing something new that I’m not familiar with. I’ve always tell myself that I don’t want to be a self-proclaim know it all type of a person, so this characteristic of an ideal helper stands out to me immediately and I know that as a helper I would be learning new things all the time. Especially, when it has to do with working with clients that are looking for answers to resolve their needs. In addition, I realized since I started on the part to becoming a helper that things are not always the way I see them and there are a board prospective and meaning to everything, to things that are already set in place also, for the things that is happening around
One of the most serious problems affecting society today is the wide variety of acute health conditions including cardiac arrest, heart attacks, allergic reactions, and contagious diseases among many others. These conditions affect hundreds of thousands of people around the world every single day, and I, as a soon to be emergency physician, would dedicate my life to be the person who helps patients fight through these conditions, and fight for better health regulations, as well as better education of healthier lifestyles so people can avoid many of these conditions. The field that interests me the most is called Emergency medicine, a specialization in medicine that has a big effect in society, it is the second level of the EMS system that treats patients ranging from simple things such as a simple infection, to a trauma patient, emergency physicians provide the care that stabilizes the patients for specialized care and in some cases even treat their condition.
