Social Work is concerned with helping people enhance their well-being. Pursuing Social Work has always been a goal of mines. The Social Work Department is made up of a variety of professions and programs. The reason I choose to study Social Work is because I want to become a Child, family, and school Social Worker. This department of Social Work offers help such as assistance to children, youths and also to their parents or guardians.
The only time I felt uncomfortable was when he was talking about the loss of his wife, but I sympathised with him as best I could. This relationship makes me feel glad that I have chosen nursing as a career. Robert made me think about how lucky I am to be able to still use my legs and how fortunate I am to be able to play sport and do all the activities I love doing. He also makes me appreciate about how important family and friends are. When Robert left the ward and provided me with the positive feedback it gave me a great confidence boost and made my day.
Throughout my collegiate journey in my undergraduate studies in Social Work I have learned a tremendous proportion of knowledge as it relates to being a competent and ethical Social Worker. One primary lesson that I have learned is that in order to proficiently serve clients, Social Workers must consistently evaluate and enhance their clinical skills. To effectively service populations that are at risk, vulnerable, and oppressed Social Workers must be educated on the demographics of the target population. Social Workers must also be eager and willing to conduct, engage and study evidence based research to competently assist clients, communities and systems. The N.A.S.W.
During my time at the nursing home, I grew fond of working with geriatrics. My empathy developed healthy and quickly as I became friends with the residents who did not have visitors. Through my observation of behaviors, I learned how important a visit could be to an aged individual and how appreciative they were in my time through their gratitude, compliments, and smiles. I gained a valuable understanding of the aging process and the challenges they face with aging. I learned from their life stories and gained a new a perspective on my own life.
You are right, your moral compass, as well as your ethics and values, are developed and influenced from the people around you, which in your case are your parents, three uncles, and grandparents. It makes sense since they were all heavily involved and personally invested in your life, which is really cool. You do not hear of that often today, but I am the same as you! I am very fortunate to have my parents and to have had my grandparents and family, even extended, be close and be my moral compass. For you, the Army is where your ethics and values were really drilled in and you established your personal and professional identity as you mentioned.
I really want to praise my teammates for their suggestion on organizing the calligraphy and painting class. Because it is quite surprising that to hear some elderly reflected to me that they had recalled their memories of their childhood in the activities (as most of the male participants used to write in writing brushes when they were still young). It is also my pleasure to bring them happiness and enjoyment. More than that, chatting with these elderly just reminds me of my passed away grandfather and grandmother. Even though these elderly do not know me, they are willing to share everything with me and treats me like their grandson, which is the most touching part.
I am honored to be amongst the meritorious students who are being considered for induction into the National Honors Society. Being an active member of this society has been something I have been looking forward to since middle school; having previous family members inducted, I regard acceptance to it a goal I must accomplish. I would be honored to be a member of this society which is known for benefiting others. These limitless opportunities of contributing to my community will help me grow as a person which will undoubtedly help me in my future career in the medical field and leave an impact on my fellow community members. The National Honors Society is an important organization made up of students who demonstrate leadership, service, character,
From the day I was born, I was always covered and protected by those who loves me, I could always feel the warmth they provide each time I feel cold inside, they were my family, the family I am grateful for and thanks our lord and saviour for such a wonderful family. When I was 6, I could finally understand my surroundings, gaining more knowledge than ever before as I was send to a high standard school, learning was hard but making some friends were too. As my siblings were there, I saw that there was no need for some friends, I got family, and that was all I need, out of this world filled with knowledge. At the age of 14, I had already made some
I saw that the family values their unity as they do their activities together. Also, for Mukarukundo, she does the activity to let her grandchildren know how they lived and how they were happy. In addition, she does the activity to recognize that God “Imana” gave them the production for them to take care to their young grandchildren because their parents died earlier. Seeing the way the family members were focused on each session of the activity, one can say that they are thinking as real Rwandans and they collaborate to have a final product. For Mukarukundo, she sees herself a responsible person to educate her grandchildren about Rwandan tradition, and as a person to bring happiness in the hearts of her grandchildren who lost their parents at earlier.
Two hours later, we had to go to his funeral and then to the cemetery. I appreciated my grandpa so much and I really miss him. As a conclusion, there are four seasons and I agree summer is the best of all the seasons. Summer is the warmest of all four seasons, between spring and autumn. This summer I learned a lot of things but the most important was that we should always help the people we love and that we should always be thankful.
