Informational Interview
My interview took place with Adam Fuller at All Clear in Cedar Rapids Iowa. He is an Operations Manager for the company mainly focusing on the organization and planning within the company. He has been with the company for a little over 4 years now and had nothing but good things to say about the nature of the entire company. We discussed the various job responsibilities of an operations manager such as, planning and booking the window cleaning schedules, planning and organizing weekly staff meetings, and planning events for the company. This companies mission and values show a lot about how the business is run and what kind of management it takes to create

I now am hoping to job shadow or gain experience from an internship position this summer in the management field. I feel like I gained a lot of valuable knowledge and information about the field overall. I learned that being in this type of management role requires a lot of investment in education and training. I am working on getting my bachelor’s degree in enterprise leadership hoping to further my education later on by getting my master’s degree in business. In terms of course topics on career development, the NACE resume and my LinkedIn profile are very relevant and important to my career development in management. I will need to continue to develop very strong communication skills, as well as being able to work well with others. Making connections through LinkedIn will be very crucial for me in the future as far as finding job opportunities and connection with others in the field. This is especially important because I will be applying out of the state and jumping into brand new territories. During the interview, Adam spoke about the importance of loyalty and building trust with your co-workers and clients. He emphasized the need to listen actively and be understanding while being in a management and leadership position. This approach to leadership aligns with my thoughts and beliefs of leadership and management, because I believe that a leader should consistently prioritize building solid …show more content…
I was able to gain insight into the management field, including learning about the education and training available to prepare you for this kind of role. I also learned a lot about the challenges and rewards of this field. While speaking to Adam I was also able to learn about the importance of having empathy for others and being inclusive in leadership and a management role, which I will apply within my future personal and professional endeavors. My personal philosophy of leadership involves creating a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone to feel heard and seen. This aligns with my career goals of hopefully becoming a manager within a company and hopefully being able to take on that leadership
There was no life-changing event or catastrophic injury that ignited my passion for medicine. It started out as an interest that grew as I grew. Through volunteering in the healthcare field as well as leadership at my university, I was able to eventually put into words why I so dearly wanted to devote my life to medicine; simply impact and leadership. My interest in becoming a physician was always there, I loved the idea of being able to apply my scientific knowledge to help heal people.
For my observation assignment I chose my place of employment, I work at The Home Depot. Operations management is a very import part of the integral structure of our company. My store manager delegates day to day operations to her subordinates the assistant store managers. Each assistant manager is in charge of a grouping of departments. Departments are each run by a department supervisor who delegate tasks to the sales staff.
As an aspiring physician, I believe that ILS will prepare me for success both inside and outside of the classroom. Through the connections, opportunities, and support I will receive in the ILS program, I know that I will best be prepared to apply to medical school. I value mentorship and am excited to have access to faculty mentors to guide me in my progress. The close community between peers and professors intrigues me to join this community and learn from a like-minded community. I am specifically excited to take new courses such as HLSC208, to learn about connections between molecular biology and computer programming.
He shared this leadership style has been effective for him building rapport, respect, and camaraderie amongst his subordinates. He says the best way to enter a team is to learn the team you are leading before you commit to one style of leadership. Inquire the needs of the men and women and establish the leadership that is effective for you. Don’t be tied down by have one style and being the definition of a traditional leader. Like most things, we adapt and sometimes fall into different areas of leadership as needed.
I was born in Guadalajara Jalisco and raised on a small ranch called Atemajac de Brizuela. My dad left when I was small kid, but came back when I was three years old. One year later my sister was born. Once my sister was born my dad decided to come to the United States because he knew that he had better opportunities here than in Mexico. Four years after that I came to the U.S.A at the age of nine not knowing a single word of English.
My transition into the field of Health Information Management was not intended, but rather a result of life throwing a curveball. Since graduating from Pace University in 2015 with a Bachelor's in Finance, my passion has been to merge business finance and healthcare into one career goal. This is healthcare revenue cycle management. The education that I received provided me with a foundation and framework upon which I am now building on a daily basis. My life experiences led me to work as a financial analyst, where I handled complex spreadsheets and performed analytics.
Eagerness to learn, attention to details, and willingness to put in required effort and time, all qualities I wish to continue to practice as a student in AP English 12. As a student of organization and willingness to participate in classroom discussions and interactions, I believe those attributes of me as a student set me up for success in this class. My enthusiasm in learning has been a leading factor in my decision to apply for this rigorous course my senior year. While there are other options available this is the course best suited for me due to my attention to details and readiness to dedicate time and effort into this class. As an AP English student I am mainly interested in continuing to practice and develop reading and writing skills
I want to enroll in Pre-AP English because I think it could help me in several of ways. This can help attain my goals because it helps me receive a higher gpa. I plan to contribute to Maricopa High School community by joining student council, if I join student council I would be involved in more things and can help at any events, I am committed to go above and beyond and I am self-motivated to do anything necessary. Skills that I have that are essential for advanced placement include someone who will try their best every day, someone who will go above and beyond in completing their assignments and are respectful and responsible.
I would like to be apart of ASB because I’m interested in helping Medea be the best school it can be. I always like to learn new things and I will appreciate new experiences learning from seventh and eighth graders. I am responsible and I am excited for my leadership skills to be tested. Also, I will gain more responsibility and learn more leadership skills throughout my time in ASB. As part of ASB, I will be able to work with other students who have similar interests and want to be fellow leaders at Medea.
1. My philosophy of leadership is about collaboration and teamwork. Respecting and treating everyone the same, is key to supporting a good team atmosphere. I believe when a leader puts effort and care into assisting others, then their peers and followers will naturally want to support them. It is also important for a leader to recognize, that advocacy must never become so important that the critical elements of leadership are neglected (e.g. policy enforcement, command support, etc...).
As leaders, we set the standard, it is our job to lead the way, so let’s lead from the front in all we

According to Blake and Mouton (1964), this is the best leadership style to be adopted. Team leaders pay high and equal attention towards the production needs and people relations. This method relies heavily on making employees feel themselves to be constructive parts of the company (Blake and
My leadership philosophy is one driven by emotion. I want to be the leader that makes people feel. I want them to feel as though we are all part of a family and that they are cared about. I want to show them that I not only care about our job at hand but care about them personally; where their physical and mental health is always as important as reaching any goal.
TASK 1.1 Importance of operation management Operations management (OM) is the business function responsible for managing the process of creation of goods and services. It involves planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling all the resources needed to produce a company’s goods and services. Because operations management is a management function, it involves managing people, equipment, technology, information, and all the other resources needed in the production of goods and services. Operations management is the central core function of every company. This is true regardless of the size of the company, the industry it is in, whether it is manufacturing or service, or is for-profit or not-for-profit.
