Why I Want To Study Electrical Engineering

Ever since childhood, I was drawn towards electrical structures. I have always been eager to innovate models that would require little or no human inputs, machinery that would create ease and benefit humans. I have come across situations in which I had to deal with electrical appliances, such as LEDs to televisions. Electrical related things are part of our lives and I have handled them well because of my expertise in this field. I am not professional but have shown an interest to my ability. I would like to be a part of the family of electrical engineers to make progress and developments in this field to bring prosperity through our works and efforts. At the start of olevel I struggled with physics and could not fully understand the concepts well but due to my good understanding of maths, I was able to cope with the numerical topics. I used to hear from my relatives and other family friends about acing in the olevel exams. So one day I thought to myself that if others can, why can’t I? I was more determined to score well in physics especially. I spent extra couple of hours on physics and when I took my exam I was satisfied with the effort that I made. To my surprise I scored an A which was quite exemplary for me and my parents appreciated my performance. I started to enjoy this subject and, Electricity and Magnetism became my favourite topics. In A-level I thoroughly like physics and mathematics lectures. I can relate theoretical studies to real life which interests me to master this subject. I definitely don’t want to limit my studies to a bachelor’s level but go on till the doctorate level to be able to contribute so much to the society to my potential. I hope that a degree from your university would serve as a solid base for a successful career in engineering and my passion to become a mechanical engineering would be put to good use. For me, studying at this university would not just get me a qualification but also enhance my work experience.
