Since I was a little girl I have always been told to be on top of my studies and to go do what I love most. However, with college I am able to take on and obtain new knowledge to further my studies and do what I love most. I see college as another stepping stone into a great life and future. Being able to attend college is a blessing, this will help me understand and see the different perspective of the world around me. The final reason that led me to college is to experience the" life of as a college student".
The society has become more exigent. In order to be successful in this society its to have a degree. Anyone who wants to have a decent life has to have a career that could help better in achievements of people’s dream. However, to have a better I realize that I have to have a degree that could lead me with more opportunities and have a balance life so I decided to go to college. Since I was in my country I always dreamed to have a degree which I can survive with.
This was a big moment for me because I never knew that what I was doing as an RA could be/lead to a professional job that is so oriented around helping others and being involved in the college lifestyle. I absolutely love being an RA and working with students and being a leader to them. I also truly love getting to work with others who have the same passion and drive that I do within this job. I believe that STARS is something that can help connect me with others in the realms of student affairs. I love getting to work with the people here at UNI, but I also want to learn more from others who may have completely different experiences.
For those who are already attending, college provides endless opportunities for them to explore and then decide what kind of a job they want to have. The one thing I want to ensure that I do to stay motivated is planning my weeks out in advance by using my planner. Referring back to my pride, I do not like to be late on assignments or tests. I plan on taking my time when I read over my course work that way I focus better on it and I am able to retain more of it when I am done because, as I said earlier, I love learning new things! Another thing I plan on doing to keep me motivated is joining the SNHU Peer Leader program as soon as I am eligible. I niticed a posting on my SNHU hope page and I delved into the program to learn more.
Being an active member of the community that surround us is a priority in today’s society. Therefore, having the opportunity to assist seminars, partake in internships, study abroad or simply engage myself in activities where I will be able to discuss current issues and network with the leaders of today and tomorrow, is definitely one of those experiences that I’m looking forward the most. In addition, I believe that being part of such a diverse program and university will offered me the necessary tools to emerge as a more understanding, caring and accepting human being.
