Boots UK Limited is a pharmacy chain operating in United Kingdom and Ireland which sells health and beauty products along with operating an optician service. It was first established in 1849 by John Boot, and was formerly known as ‘Boots the Chemist’. Boots ( the trading name of the company) has achieved many successes throughout its career that it can be called a very successful, pharmacy-led health and beauty company, despite its ups and downs which are going to be mentioned further in this assignment. Boots UK is officially branch of a multinational company, Alliance Boots GmbH which operates in over 25 countries around the world.(Boots-uk.com, n.d.)

Strengths. Upon reviewing past reflections and feedback from tutors and peers, my strengths include “effective communication with all appropriate parties.” I am reflective and therefore identify areas of strengths and limitations and areas that need improvement; I also seek out constructive feedback regarding my practice (A. SWOT Analysis is a strategic method that is implemented by a company, in order to determine their Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats regarding a business undertaking. The company defines their objective and determines what the external and internal elements are that can have a positive or negative impact on reaching their goal.

A SWOT analysis is a tool used by organisations to identify its internal strengths and weaknesses, but also the external opportunities and threats. Therefore, this allows the organisation to assess what can be used to aid in achieving their objectives, i.e., strengths and opportunities, as well as aspects that can be improved on or potential problems that can be faced, i.e., weaknesses and threats, as they pursue on achieving business objectives and/or decision making.

A swot analysis is an analytical tool whereby the positive and negative internal and external aspects of a company or entrepreneur are analysed.

SWOT analysis is performed to improve business operations by taking into account the Strength, weaknesses, Opportunity and Threats.

My weaknesses are my over-commitment to my ways. I am open minded person, however when I follow or do something, I always believe to be best & gain momentum & at that time I unable to change my directions & become fixed to my goal. As over-commitment may not seem is always an obvious weakness. It can create many hindrances if a mistake is made because at that time its very difficult for me to change my goal or work in which I engaged. While some commitment is good, too which can be a problem. I believe I can improve upon this weakness by prioritizing my tasks. Weakness is something that I must deal in one way. If I can’t work to improve them, I can try to avoid them. I thing that it’s best to be aware of personal weaknesses. So that if I can face what’s the truth of what is not going to happen & what is possible. In this way we can easily avoid thoughts which are not real in one’s life & save time in the going

SWOT analysis is an evaluation of the Strengths and Weaknesses and Opportunities and Threat of the business in connection to the internal and environmental elements influencing an element so as to build up its condition prior to the preparation of a long term plan (Tim Berry, n.d.). In social care, we work with some of society’s most vulnerable people. For a practitioner to best support an individual they must first be able to care for themselves. There is huge value in being aware of who we are, our strengths and our areas for improvement. This can directly affect the relationships and experiences we have with ourselves, clients, and our peers in social care practice. For this assignment, I will look at the importance of ‘the self’ and personal and professional development in social care.

Before we implemented our opioid addiction and rehabilitation service, it was important for us to examine what obstacles we might face and need to overcome as well as what we might be able use in our favor to help with our service. We performed a SWOT analysis to help identify the external opportunities and threats that were present as well as our internal strengths and weaknesses so that we might more efficiently jumpstart our service.

As a student one of my strengths is organization. I can say I can keep my school materials and notebooks organized in a way that I and others can comprehend. The reason I can say I am organized is because, I have hardly ever had in the past or present any issues with trying to find homework or assignments because I always kept my materials for each class organized and in a place I could easily find. Another strength I have is social skills. I can believe that I communicate with others well in a group. The reason for this is that I can explain topics in a group if someone does not understand, I can say that this skill came with confidence to speak up and trust myself.

The distributors that the support the company provides the company supplies are better than their competition (A, 2012).

SWOT analysis helps to understand the company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and possible threats against it. SWOT can be divided into two parts. Strength and weakness affects the internal of the company while the opportunities and threats affects the external of the company and its environment.
