Pain and suffering is not something anyone or anything should feel. Lots of animals suffer slowly and painfully from bullets and other glorifying tools. “ Quick kills are rare, and many animals suffer long prolonged, painful deaths When hunters try to kill, they severely injure the animal but fail to kill them.”
Animals have feelings and lives too. “Like people, animals want to live, they also love and feel pain. Animals shouldn’t have to die just because some humans consider hunting to be fun.” (¨There Are Still People¨) Why would we take away a life just to use it as an award, especially since it’s against the law?
Hunting is defined as the act of killing or taking down a creature. Killing is a synonym of murdering, and murdering is a crime. Some may say that hunting can provide food, which is a necessity for humans, or that is one way for them to make money. Despite these facts, some people are selfish enough to exceed their wants and hunt down animals for pleasure. That is why, sport hunting should be made illegal because hunting destroys animals ’wildlife habitats and hunting contributes to their extinction.
Imagine you are taken from your home, mother, and environment to a small cage where everybody is looking at you, taking pictures, and having fun. Your owners sell you to a bad zoo where all animals only get food sometimes and the bare cages are cold because you’re getting too expensive to feed and even take care of. This is why I take the position that zoos should be banned because they can cause Animal cruelty, Too expensive, and finding new homes. Say no to zoos!
There are many different causes and effects of poaching. Poaching is considered the illegal practice of trespassing on another's property to hunt or steal game. Poaching isn’t just about trespassing it is also about the taking of game while there are not in season or going over the legal limit to hunt. Some of the worst cases of poaching happen to animals that are very near extinction. Extinction is where a living creature no longer exists on planet earth, because of the absence of the opposite sex for which it can’t breed, or because hunter kill the species so fast that they don't have time to breed and repopulate their herd.
In a twitter post, by Maurice Simon it states,“Hunters- every time you post for a photo with a dead body of a animal you killed you are simply making a fool of yourself showing the entire would that you are morally void. No matter how you brainwash or bribe, no matter what costumes, gear, trophy you show off, no matter how much marketing and money you invest in it, no matter how you try to glorify or justify it all your tradition and practices legal or not are wrong hunting is Murder you have nothing to be proud about”(Simon). This is saying that the people that hunt for these trophy animals are wrong because they aren 't hunting for the food but the thrill and that is not right. It would be different if these people needed the food, because killing these big animals would give them a lot of
Big game hunting should NOT be allowed. It can cause extinction, and can leave some animals with no habitats due to humans taking over their land. Big game hunting causes many different negative things to happen, but on of those negative things is that it can cause extinction. Currently, elephants are endangered because humans are selfish and want to take their ivory tusks. Humans have also depleted the tiger population down to less than 2,500 tigers in the whole world.
So, the message Kurt Vonnegut is showing the reader, is that a society should not glorify war. Thus saying that the killing of innocent civilians is more important than, going to war and not gaining anything. To conclude, Kurt vonnegut uses the theme of war in Slaughterhouse five to show how war has been glorified by the society in which Billy lived in. The glorification of war then led into the bloodshed of many innocent live.
The two hunter’s feel pity towards the eggs that they see, as they feel that most of them are going to be killed before the animal inside is even able to see the light of day, however this is ironic, as these hunter’s themselves are here to steal that light from the animals, which is made even worse when considering that the eggs would be killed for nourishment, while the humans will be killing for pleasure. The poet makes this irony even more effective in creating a sense of ethics in the reader by having the title of the poem as The Wild Duck’s Nest, even though that is not what the poem is about. Randolph Stow uses animals to successfully convey deeper emotional and philosophical thoughts and to create a sense of morality and ethics with the subject matter, theme and the literary devices. Through this, the reader realizes the message: humans are the ones to be afraid of, as the creatures that humans often fear are even more frightened of
(Golding 35) Ralph and Jack knew consciously that killing the pig was inhumane, even if it was for means of survival. As the story progresses, Jack becomes more aggressive, while Ralph slips into submission. After Jack successfully kills a pig, anarchy forms. The boys start to shout [Kill the beast!
If terrorism is wrong, why is big game trophy hunting right? Big game trophy hunting is the killing of animals for the fun of it and displaying it for others or themselves to see. Large animals are killed in the process of ‘show and tell’ and not given a second thought, after doing so. Big game hunting is unethical because it depletes animal populations and results in unnecessary death.
People ignore how merciless hunters and businessmen are when they hunt and make those furs as goods for selling. With time going, people start to realize that killing uncommon creatures for people’s privacy desire is not a good thing. One of those people is the Dalai Lama. He declares, “We must be willing to be revolted when science—or for that matter any human activity—crosses the line of human decency, and we must fight to retain the sensitivity that is otherwise so easily eroded. ”(139)
And the native americans hate when the people kill the poor little wolves. First, if people wanted to kill the wolves how would you know that they are actually going to kill them. They could be killing other people or something else? And hunting is a fun activity but imagine if you were that wolf about to get shot you would want that.
As if removing these animals from their natural environment was not enough, these killer whales which have an understandably predatory nature been vilified in the public for unfortunate incident which have taking place at different aquariums throughout the world. Gruesome accidents and tragic deaths demonstrate the fact that wild animals do not belong in captivity. They are maligned for these actions which are simply part of their feral nature. These wolves of the sea deserve to be flipping as close to nature as possible. They should be migrating and hunting with large family pods instead of sitting alone in comparably small tanks.
While many believe that assisted suicide is morally wrong and violates the basic tenets of medicine, people should be able to die with dignity and stop their suffering to let them die happier. Assisted suicide has been a big controversy lately and I think it is a good thing to make legal. Terminally sick people should be able to end their pain and suffering.
