Which some stores would not make as much as they did when they had it open all night. In “The Trouble with Youth Curfews” it tells us that “many people argue that it does take our freedom away and instead of decreasing crime, it increases it”. It makes a lot of people mad that their freedom is being taken away from them. In addition, the story “America’s Curfew Debate” explains that “Curfews violated parents’ rights to set their own child’s curfew.” That would take a parents’ freedom for parenting their own children. So just because they don’t think kids should have a curfew doesn’t mean they can take a parents’ freedom to parent their
It’s so your kids can be safe and unharmed. Kids should be safe around guns for their safety. Gun safety should be taught to kids because accidents always happen. Some people think kids shouldn’t be taught about gun safety, but other think kids should be taught about gun safety. Kids get harmed from guns because they’re using a gun without permission, and they’re not suppose to use them.
Many people think that these games will not have a major impact in a student or teens life that teens will be more prepared to face the real world an all its dangerous. But I say that yes these games might teach kids that the real world isn 't always that safe but I believe that these games show kids to be violent and reckless. To conclude this is why many parents and government officials believe that kids should not be allowed to play violent role playing games.By not letting kids play these games we can prevent more horrible and tragic shooting involving
Not all teenagers shoplift, have parties, and disrespect their parents. There are causes for rebellion and defiance to get out of hand. The main cause is a struggling home life. Again, teenagers are not legal adults, so whatever their home life is going through, they are going to have to be apart of it. These stereotypes are based on people who believe everything they see or read and obtain their judgments based on personal experience.
Victor (1998) writes “kidnapping rumors are metaphors for parental worries about their children 's future in a society which is perceived to be unsafe for children” (p. 52). In the case of the Satanic panic, one concrete negative consequence of this fear about children was that the rumors led to parents to take their kids out of school for a day. Although it was only a day, missing school impacts a child’s education. Ironically, better-educated people were less susceptible to believing the rumors about Satanism, and thus didn’t take their kids out of
Permissible behaviors in underprivileged areas, fail to align with the traditional methods of proper etiquette in modern societies. The environment one associates with significantly influences their perception of societal norms. The unfortunate reality is that children of lower socio-demographics are often exposed to acts of violence on a regular basis. Moreover, to alleviate the stigma, parents of children in disadvantaged neighborhoods should avoid viewing films that promote violence, as it is inappropriate behavior for children to observe. However, parents
Some people don’t think that we should have guns and some do. The main problem that people think that teachers shouldn’t have guns is the fact they would be promoting violence to the kids and they also think that some kids might be able to steal the guns from the teacher's desk and start shooting. But there is still the group who thinks having guns in school is a good idea. They think it is a good idea because if teachers have guns they can help defend the children by shooting back at the attacker. They can also make the argument saying that it makes parents feel safer to send their child to school knowing that they are safe.
A number of parents have suggested that children should not be convicted as adults for their crimes because children don’t have the same mentality as adults and act without reasoning of the consequences they have for committing such a crime. Children’s brains aren’t fully developed so they have a habit of imitating what they see in TV or from a role model they look up to. Children most of the time are forced to commit a crime by the friends they hang out with and are scared to walk away or say no. In the article “Kids Are Kids” the author states that “Today we are witness to criminal defendants - facing life sentences without parole - who cannot shave, still play with fire trucks, and love to act out scenes from TV or video
Katie Walls P3 11:00 Is It Safe? Should law enforcement officers be present in schools? This can be a controversial topic because of the recent situations that have happened. Some may argue School Resource Officers should not be placed in schools because, they implant the youth into the criminal justice system at a young age. Not wanting to admit to drinking “…Which can make rebellious teenagers sneak off to basements and backwoods to binge drink far from adult supervision” (CNN).
