Before learning the side effects, issues, and dangers of the use of electronic cigarettes, I was under the impression that they weren’t harmful. I believed they were the safer option and if you weren’t doing it frequently or if it didn’t contain nicotine, then there was no issue in doing it. E- Cigarettes are marketed as a way of kicking an addiction to actual cigarettes, but anything inhaled into your lungs is not benefiting your personal health. But before, I did not know this and wasn’t necessarily against them. Truthfully, people in my close family use them and I thought it was a great way of ending a conventional cigarette addiction, and this made me wonder how bad they could possibly be.
For example, in most of the advertisements for alcohol products, a warning is included that indicates that the users should not drink and drive and that alcohol should not be sold to children under 18 years of age (Hammond, 2011). The advertisements for tobacco products are also important because in most cases they contain the warning regarding the health risks of smoking. It would be wrong to ban the advertisements for tobacco and alcohol products yet the products themselves are not
As children and pregnant women are being affected what families should do is not allow anyone to smoke anywhere in or near their home, if they are smokers they should not smoke in the car even if some people claim that opening the window helps it actually does not, they should also make sure that the day care centers or the schools that their children attend are "tobacco free" and if they are in countries or cities that allow public smoking when they go out as a family they should look for restaurants or other places that do not allow smoking because even " no smoking sections" do not protect them from passive
These people claim that smoking marijuana is harmful to the lungs and brain development of teenagers. Cigarettes have the same, if not greater, damaging effect on human lungs yet the government does not infringe upon Americans’ right to take such health risks. Although there have been no scientific study to validate that smoking marijuana damages brain development, a simple resolution would be to make the legal age for smoking and possessing marijuana in the mid 20’s when the brain is completely developed. The argument of the dangers of marijuana can also be made for the opposing side. Illegal and unregulated marijuanna posing far more dangers to people than if marijuana was regulated by the government.
It is naive to think that banning handguns will keep a criminal from breaking the law. He or she will not be worried about breaking the law to obtain a handgun and commit a crime. Needless to say, handgun bans take away an extremely important method of self defense for the people, which leaves them very vulnerable. It’s clear that by banning guns we are without a doubt missing the real
A recent problem developed in society, which is deemed to be “cool”, is called vaping. Originally, it was made to help smokers quit smoking. Although recently we have seen otherwise. As Rebecca J. Frey had written in an article, “Unsurprisingly, the exponential increase in the popularity of e-cigarettes in just a few years has led to calls for government regulation,” (Frey). Frey is saying that because of the very sudden uprise and popularity of e-cigarettes and Vaping caused the government to do something about them.
Since its creation in 2007, e-cigarettes have only grown in popularity, especially with teenagers. All over America, teens in high school and even middle school can be found vaping. Teens are far more likely to vape as they feel pressure to fit in and be cool. Therefore, teen vaping is a problem because it can lead to future health problems, the e-cigarette industry is not fully regulated, and it can lead to nicotine addiction. Vaping as an adolescent can lead to health issues in the future.
Smokers, dippers, and chewers definitely smokers will wanna read the stats on risk of cancer in smokers and make the switch to smokeless. Smokeless is as safe as driving cars the British health researchers show that smokeless tobacco is 1 to 1000 times safer than smoking. Studies have been very biased and studies have shown that smokeless risk is not elevated same as in non users. (Rodu) everyone that has studied smokeless tobacco have misinformed the public because they want a tobacco free society(Rodu). “Oral cancer is very rare in the 300 million people about 10,000 people out of the population”(Rodu).
1. Prohibit work to tobacco smoke and in public places (stations, restaurants, etc.). This is first of all to protect the people present against passive smoking. Moreover, the fact that the places and times when it is possible to smoke become scarce led some smokers to quit, or at least to reduce their consumption. And non-trivialization of cigarette smoking exerts a preventive effect, especially with regard to young people who lack adult role models who smoke ....
An experience of an event has the unwanted consequence that we learn something from it. These experiences are frequently transformed into memories. Experiences can have positive consequences but also negative ones. For instance, when you got very sick of the first cigarette you smoked, you probably learn to never smoke another one that then has a positive consequence for your health now and later in life. However, when you much enjoyed your first cigarette, you probably learn to smoke many more cigarettes that might have a negative consequence for your health now and later in life.
