Life is one of the most valuable assets of a human that cannot be compared to anything else. And no one wants to lose it. People always are afraid about death and no one knows how will die, it can be either natural death that is a density or murder that is the action of taking the life of a human being. Capital punishment for murder is death penalty, it means a life for a life and an eye for an eye. Criminals who commit murder are divided in two groups, ones commit murder for self-defense and another group does it for fun.
With the cruelty of this world and the impeccable pressure of life, I will not be surprised if we all just kill ourselves, but we should not, because killing ourselves does not solve anything, in fact it can make things worse. We were all brought up with the notion that the act of suicide is wrong, yet there are still thousands who kill themselves every year, ending their lives forever. I am here to tell you that this has to stop and here are the reasons why. First, suicide defeats the purpose of life.
According to Hinman (5), just punishment is the one that happens to those who are proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. This is important because capital punishment is irreversible and hence only the guilty should be executed. However, there are many cases of innocent people who have been sentenced to death only to have their appeals granted at the last minute, or worse, denied and executed. It is on these grounds that Bedau (2007) argues against the death penalty because it is unjust and unfair. About unfairness, he goes on to add that racial and economic discrimination are also a factor to consider when meting out capital punishment.
Proctor knows that this is not fair to anyone. The use of stage directions show that John Proctor is more willing to die than continue to live a life of dishonor and lack of justice. Many people in the sixteen hundreds
So, the message Kurt Vonnegut is showing the reader, is that a society should not glorify war. Thus saying that the killing of innocent civilians is more important than, going to war and not gaining anything. To conclude, Kurt vonnegut uses the theme of war in Slaughterhouse five to show how war has been glorified by the society in which Billy lived in. The glorification of war then led into the bloodshed of many innocent live.
Death penalty or the capital punishment is the harshest punishment the authority can give to a crime, there have been many debates on many aspects of the element of the death penalty whether on philosophical aspect such as is it really a good thing to kill the people who killed other to show that killing is wrong and is it morally right, or on religious aspect such as god give us this life so the state shouldn’t take this life god gave us furthermore the act of taking a life go against almost every religion on earth and even on a legal aspect since the person on death row might be falsely accused and if the act of execution is done there will be no going back, and death sentence seem like an “eye for an eye” type of punishment(such as cutting off the hand of the thief for stealing) but it has been proven many times before this type of punishment doesn’t work .This report is made as part of SPD 202 as of why death penalty should be considered as social problem. Since the death penalty concern the matter of life and death of a person, the execution of an innocent person isn’t simply a tragedy it is a major false from both the state and the institute of justice. There have been many reports of false execution coming from all over the world. Take Jesse-Tafero case for example he was accused and executed via electric chair back in May 1990, he was accused of killing 2 Florida highway officers, but later on in 1992 the whole case was overturned when crime scene
The death penalty should be put in place for the sole purpose of punishment for people such as Hitler for he was responsible for the killing of many men, women, and children. He is also the one who started a historically horrific atrocity, the Holocaust. If the criminals that commit severe crimes are penalized for their actions, other people that are thinking of committing similar crimes will think twice due to the consequences they might suffer. Violence is only justified in such cases since the death penalty is a requisite for those who cause major damage to society or have major capacity to harm innocent
Personally I think having the death penalty is a good thing to have. The death penalty should be there for the worst of the worst criminals in America. We shouldn 't be afraid to use it on the worst criminals, most of the criminals on death row have murdered someone, or have done terrible things to someone or someone 's family and or friends. Yes, making sure its humane, quick, and painless is the right thing to do, but let’s be honest these criminals aren 't going to worry about being humane or quick, if they are killing or raping somebody. By executing them we take away the time they will have to spend in cells thinking about what they did.
We Need to Kill the Death Penalty Have you ever wondered what occurs to those who commit capital crimes? Well, these people go through horrible experiences. The death penalty, a sentence of execution, has been used across the world for many years.
Innocence is another reason why people who are convicted of heinous crimes don’t deserve the death penalty. Many people spend years on death row, who are innocent before finally being released. ( Innocence
I think the massacre of the theatre in Aurora it was one of the horrifying and tragic gun shooting events that has happen in the United States, like the massacre in Sandy Hook. About James Holmes sentence I believe that he deserved a death penalty instead of the life sentence in prison, doesn’t matter if he is diagnose from mentally Ill. Probably he deserved to suffer in lifetime with the guilt of killing good citizens but he needs to pay for what his done to the victims of taking away their lives and affecting the victim’s families forever. I believe in Eye for an eye punishment, so this is my way of see about someone killing innocent people. You kill you pay in the same
The United States remains in the minority of nations in the world that still uses death as penalty for certain crimes. Capital punishment is seen by many as barbaric and against American values, while others see it as a very important tool in fighting violent pre-meditated murder. One of the supporters of the Death penalty was a man named Walter Berns (a professor of American constitutional law and political philosophy.) He wrote clearly about his view on the death penalty in his Crime and Delinquency article, “Defending the Death Penalty.” He argued that the “Opposition to capital punishment is a modern phenomenon, a product of modern sentiment and modern thought” (p. 504) and with the help of historical references and logical reasoning throughout
The death penalty is a good thing at times it gets closure to the victim's families who've suffered a loss while Justice is being served. The United States isn't the only place that that still has the death penalty for certain crimes, other nations do as well. It's very beneficial when it comes to contributing to our issue of overpopulation in the prisons. If there's a lot of overpopulation it can be very difficult when prisoner's get loose to keep them in control as well as the costs of keeping them locked up presents an issue when coming out of tax. The death penalty becomes a tool of fighting with violence against murders who've not yet committed the crime, due to the fear of death or getting caught.
