This is significant in certain plants such as the Kudzu plant. Kudzu plants are also an invasive species that can cause damage throughout the ecosystem. The effect the Kudzu bug has on the environment is dependent on what it eats. Not only do they eat the soy bean plants, but they eat the stems and leaves of many different legumes . This can lead to extreme reductions in soybean growth.
Often, forests are destroyed for land that is usually used for agricultural purposes such as farming and livestock production. However, the wood can be harvested for fuel and paper. Companies will often wipe out areas of the rainforest to mine for minerals and metals such as diamonds, oil, aluminum, gold, and copper. These materials, unfortunately, reside below the rainforest. Mining not only disrupts the ecosystem by getting rid of trees, but also by polluting water supplies when the poisonous chemicals they use to separate waste from the minerals.
Roundup immediately experienced negative feedback from the agricultural specialists. Critics suggested that Roundup would damage the environment due to its chemical compound. Also, critics impose that the mixture of chemicals and glyphosate in Roundup is more damaging to the environment than glyphosate alone (Fan, Geng, Ran, Wang, & Han, 2013). Not only was Roundup noted to harm other plants, but Roundup was believed to hurt animals. Furthermore, critics presumed that Roundup’s chemicals would cause animals to get sick and ultimately die.
It has affected the environment by have deforestation problems. Deforestation is when people remove and cut down trees for special purposes such as getting wood to make houses. As Rwanda is a land enveloped in lush green vegetation there are lots of trees being cut down it can affect the ani, mals there by not having food and die and when the animals die there will be less food for people to eat so that will affect people dieing because of hunger. This causes a cycle of so many death that is why it needs to be stopped. Rwanda has already made a ban of having no plastic bags as it is not biodegradable and it affects the environment by it bringing pollution problems which focused on a different thing.
The problem that can come up is illegal hunting and poaching. Poaching and illegal hunting can cause an off set in the ecosystem by overhunting animals. When one animal population decline drastically, other organisms are affected too. The decline in native predators is the main cause for overpopulation of animals like deer. Deer overpopulation has led to rapid decrease vegetation life causing other animals to be put at risk.
Agriculture immensely adds to the nutrient and chemical pollution due to the fertilizers used on crops. When rains or winds come through the fertilizer is carried from the fields into the rivers and streams that then lead into the ocean(Effect of Runoff). Red tide had been a huge issue that is unpreventable and caused by dinoflagellates (Red Tide). Red Tide is a type of algal bloom that takes up oxygen in the water. When the oxygen levels in the ocean are lowered it can kill many plants which is very unfortunate for the manatees considering they are herbivores and with their food supply being depleted they may suffer from starvation.
It is likely that the destroyed areas will not regenerate with the same diversity as before (World Book; Amazon Rainforest). Humans have impacted Brazil’s Amazon Rainforest through the clearing of land for cattle ranches, logging, mining, agriculture, and construction operations (Facts on File; Amazon River). 80% of the logging done in the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil is done illegally (Facts on File; Amazon Rainforest). This destroys the habitats of organisms as well as the organisms themselves, and it disrupts the way organisms live in the rainforest (Facts on File; Amazon River). Many plant species can be used to create drugs in order to treat diseases such as cancer, Rodriguez 4 AIDS, and Alzheimer’s (Blue Planet Biomes).
Since tigers are at the top, if they are eliminated from the chain everything would be mayhem. The herbivores would multiply much too quickly to keep track of and eat all of the vegetation down all the way to the roots. With the vegetation gone the herbivores would die due to the food source being gone and then the animals that use the vegetation as shelter would die off because their homes are gone. The soil as result of the vegetation being gone would start the process of soil erosion and the soil would be bad because the nutrient rich topsoil would blow off so it would be unusable land. This would ruin all of that area for wildlife for the foreseeable future.
In this period, they will be more exposed to predators as well as natural harm. This is when predators will try to get hold of these species in order to either obtain their skin, teeth, nails or other parts of their bodies which have a high value in the global market. As a result, they might face extinction. This will also promote a negative impact on researchers who rely on the aid of forest habitants as they will have to look for alternative sources. The loss of herbs will also cause a decline in pharmaceutical field as some herbs are used to form
The effect wildfires have on watershed is also key. Burned organic matter in the soil also affects the natural layering of the soils. This negatively affects infiltration and percolation, making the soil surfaces water repellent. Water therefore is unable to drain into water tables and the run-offs on the surfaces cause
Deforestation is the act of cutting down a large quantity of trees in a short period of time. When this happens it causes adverse effects on the environment. It can be done in a variety of ways from cutting to burning. Either way mass deforestation is bad and needs to stop before it is too late. One culprit of our deforestation is
