Within society, there are those that take time to help others in their community through volunteer work. Some people volunteer for self fulfillment while others do it to help them prepare for a career. People can volunteer in different fields to help them determine what career they wish to pursue, such as medicine. Volunteering to become more prepared for a career has many beneficial effects that can help a person gain an advantage later during medical training. There are many places and organizations that allow aspiring medical professionals to volunteer in order to make connections. Volunteering at a local Humane Society clinic or a local hospital can help you form connections and relationships for a future medical career (Robinson and Segal). A volunteer could also accompany the doctor of veterinary medicine or the medical professional they volunteering for to a medical conference. This allows the volunteer to form connections and relationships with medical professionals from different parts of the state or from all over the country. The connections a volunteer can make will help them secure future jobs or acquire recommendations that can further the volunteer’s career path. Many Veterinarians and hospital administrators will hire former volunteers because they have volunteered there in the past. These veterinarians and hospital administrators can also offer recommendations for the volunteer to use for their desired job with a specific medical field. Often at times, the veterinarian or other medical professionals will write letters of recommendation for a former volunteer who is applying to a medical school. With the volunteer’s connections they are able to find opportunities and recommendations for a medical
The reason I started volunteering was to experience what actually happens in the day to day lives of doctors. I wanted a better understanding of what being a doctor truly means. Being able to see all the action from the sidelines, but know you are helping that whole facility out

The first attempt and success to climb Mt. Everest occured in 1953. Since then, almost 4,000 people have been able to scale the mountain, but over 230 people have not been able to climb it successfully. There is a chance of accident or death when climbing this mountain or any dangerous activity. All people should should have the right to rescue services even if they knowingly put themselves at risk because there is always a chance of an accident happening, rangers are there to save people in danger, and there are rescue vehicles being produced to be used in case of an emergency.
The Freshman 15 is a thought that crosses the minds of most future college students, but most say that it won’t happen to them. This fear of losing a toned body after graduating high school bothers some more than others. They realize after high school there are no longer athletics, and they’ll no longer be exercising regularly. Also, when they depart from their parents house and begin to live on their own their eating habits change.
I am eager to contribute to the local community in meaningful ways, particularly in the field of healthcare. I believe that volunteering allows me to gain valuable experience and skills, as well as enables me to make a tangible impact. In Waterloo, there are many opportunities to get involved in healthcare volunteer work, and I am excited to explore these options and make a positive difference in my community. One area of healthcare that I am particularly interested in is mental health and wellness.
Running, that word gives many people different emotions that range all the way from disgust to excitement. Most people will say that they would never willingly run, at least not without some motivation and other people might even say that they enjoy it. This is why the sport of cross country is so strange to people, in fact it is strange to me as well that people would willingly run, despite the fact that I actually run cross country. The main reason that people don 't think running is fun is because it is so physically challenging. Running requires you to always be on your game, the slightest injury or distraction can prevent you from doing your best.
My reasons for wanting to serve Peace Corps Volunteer are personal and intellectual. First of all, I want to share the knowledge I have acquired throughout my life by making myself available and becoming part of something bigger. I’ve had the opportunity to attend school and I recently completed a graduate degree; this has been a great accomplishment not only for me, but for my family as well. Therefore serving as a PCV would be a rewarding experience not only for me but for those who have supported me throughout my life, since I will contribute towards a bigger cause by helping to improve the lifestyle of less fortunate people. After successfully receiving a graduate degree, it is expected that I find a permanent job related to my field of
Imagine if you were in need of a transplant and was waiting for the day when you found your donor match. Many recipients are stuck on the waitlist for a donor and sometimes even pass away because the waitlist took too long. To avoid this issue, a few ideas or systems should be considered in order to make the process quicker. Currently organ donations only consist of hair, blood plasma, and sperm and egg. Since removing your kidney is a riskier procedure than donating your hair, receiving money for the process will influence people to donate.

Beneficiaries called to ask me if I wanted to perform community service at a cathedral in Dallas, TX. I agreed because I like to volunteer in any event when it is needed. This event was called “Feed the Hunger,” which I signed up for and looked forward to because of my desire to lend a hand and assist the needy and unfortunate. At first, I thought this event was just one of those other community service opportunities that I am usually called to facilitate and volunteer my time. However, in the end, this occasion was a life-changing experience.

I love being around animals, and I have always dreamt of the day where I have the to pursue my long-term goal as a professional career. Spending the day with animals knowing that my abilities will help others such as, families, who have pets, is something that has always intrigued me. I have always been interested in the medical field too, also illustrating my passion and dream of becoming a veterinarian. Once achieving my degree from Colorado State University, I plan to open my own veterinary medicine practice. This field of study is increasing and flourishing into a affluent profession, one that I know I can contribute my absolute best towards.
I intend on being more than a dog and cat veterinarian; I desire to help those animals, along with others, such as those found on farms, in zoos, or even in wildlife sanctuaries. I also want to do more than just serve animals; I want to change the veterinary medicine field by creating new and more effective medicines and curing diseases and disorders that are uncured in today’s world. Once I become very successful and financially stable, I would like to help up and coming veterinarians like myself. I want to create my own non-profit organization dedicating to helping those ambitious and creative kids support their dreams financially, and obtain mentors and job shadowing opportunities to encourage them and properly prepare them for their future careers. By doing these things, I would change the lives of both animals and humans; animals, by making state of the art changes and discoveries, and humans, by supplementing their already solid passion in veterinary
