Warrant officers are the leaders of their field and experts in their trade. As such, they must be reliable, technically and tactically proficient, quick learners, and self-motivated, traits I already possess. I believe I have the necessary skills, experience, and leadership abilities to be a great asset to the Army as a Warrant Officer. I have more experience and training than most of my peers considering warrant officer as their next step. I have proven to be a dependable, capable, driven and a proactive non-commissioned officer throughout my career and have always sought out positions of higher responsibility.
The military shows people that soldiers are the reason why people are this happy. That is why I believe Kaepernick is getting so much backlash for his protest. It does not make our country look good and it does not make people happy and it does not support war. U.S. citizens do not want to admit that there is a problem with our country because we are proud to be Americans. The Big Reveal is a great thing.
Veteran Homelessness On any given night, approximately 49,000 American veterans are homeless, men and women that served our country and fought for our freedom (Unique Issues). Most are suffering from traumatic brain injuries, physical disabilities, and some are over the age of 50 (Unique Issues). Veteran homelessness continues to be a persistent problem. A system in which increased funding goes to housing and providing care to veterans would drastically help these peoples if not homelessness will continue to grow because of the United States’ involvement in the Middle East. The problem veteran homelessness is a nationwide doesn 't just include the homeless veteran population but also the mental and physical disabilities these people
Another question is “Are guns really necessary in our daily lives?”. Many people buy guns for many reasons. However, there are others who abuse that power to inflict pain upon others. The sad truth is, banning all guns will not stop all the gun violence because ultimately, its not the guns that kill people. However if somebody wants to buy a gun, then there should be stricter background checks on medical records to see if there are any issues with mental health.
Little did I know that one of the most wise, and worldly group of human beings, had been seated at my right hand for about five years. More often than not, I find myself struggling with anxiety due to the global issues that fill the media and papers every day. Trump? Hillary? We could also discuss Isis, and other terrorist acts that are slowly diminishing any unity this country might have left.
Why is being on time in the military important? Being on time in the military is important because of several reasons. As a soldier I feel I am held to a higher standard. I am an example of my country and I want those around me to see the pride and honor I have for the career I have chosen. Not only am I an example of my country but I am an example to those who come after me and I need to set a high standard for them to keep our military superior to those who come against us.
The U.S, Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Japan took part in this four year war, sending thousands, upon thousands of people to risk their lives for their country. In this horrific war, over sixty million people died (more than the Civil War), which was about three percent of the world's population at the time. Some of the famous battles of World War Two are the battle of Iwo Jima, the battle of the bulge, the battle of stalingrad, pearl harbor, the battle of berlin and the battle of el alamein, each battle which ended in bloodshed and death. World War Two’s information and example of bravery (from the soldiers) is another magnificent example of Margaret Thatcher’s
Many cops are killing people for no reason and the governmet doesn’t stop them because they keep on doing it. The government doesn’t see it is always constant and it’s a pattern which they see, but they choose not to do anything about it. Many people feared the abuse of power with congress and make the world worst and the economy even worst.
Service members make extreme sacrifices to defend our country and act selflessly by doing so; it is fitting that they are seen as heroes by many Americans. Because of all the training that soldiers to do to make them stronger for war, a common misconception people have is thinking that veterans come back from war stronger mentally and physically. Granted, veterans may be in better shape after the war but in
I think that students shouldn 't be able to obtain a license to carry concealed weapons at COC because guns on campus can lead to more violence. I do know that in some cases having a weapon can save lives, yet I feel that violence should not be fought with more violence. For example, what would happen if someone that has a license to carry a gun snaps or gets super mad and decides to take out his/her gun? Most of the time, college students deal with a lot of stress in their lives and our emotions are all over the place. Our emotions can make us do something we shouldn 't.
The American’s fought for the South and China fought for the North. The war started in 1950 and ended in 1953. Nearly five million people died, 40,000 of them being the American’s who died in action. I thought that this was the neatest memorial out of all of them. They all are very important, but this memorial includes 19 stainless steel statues that were designed by a man named Frank Gaylord.
With the whole nation included in our wartime endeavors more people would be apt to care about what is going on overseas and what our military men are being put up to and the situations they endure. Let’s bring back the draft, restore our military numbers, and make sure that every single eligible soldier is being put to use in the most efficient and effective way to protect the freedom and home of the United States of America that we all call home. In the words of Franklin Roosevelt, “Each of these heroes stands in the unbroken line of patriots who have dared to die, that freedom might live and grow and increase in its
Even though gun laws prevent deaths, they infringe so many rights in the immutable Bill of Rights, which is one of the foundations of the great United States. Gun laws give too much power to the government and way less from the people, which will lead to government corruption. And, stated by ClearPictureOnline.com,”Guns don 't kill people, people do. We need to concentrate on the values and morals of our citizens and at the role the media plays in glorifying violence and the lack of respect for law.” (Shootout: Do We Need More Gun Control Regulations?) What people don 't understand is that they are taking away their own freedoms with Gun Control.
The amount of PTSD related suicides is unbelievable which is represented in the statistics. According to neuroscientists, “Since 2001 over 2.5 million troops have been deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, many of whom have experienced direct combat and sustained threat estimates of PTSD rates related to these wars range from 8% to over 20%, or 192,000 to 480,000 individuals” (Wangelin, Tuerk 161). This is a shocking percentage to deal with in relation to the last large conflict that produced a large number of PTSD afflicted veterans, which was the Vietnam War at roughly 10% of veterans reporting PTSD related illness. In relation to these statistics, military suicide rates also doubled between 2001 and 2006, with more fatalities attributed to suicide
Rape in the military is a datable topic because some people maybe too ignorant to believe such a horrendous act can happen in our military. Some people may believe that the reason why we don’t hear about many rape cases in the military is because they don’t occur. Others may disagree and say that these victims are too afraid of speaking up because of the hate they will receive because they are tarnishing a fellow soldiers reputation.
