There were 15.1 trillion pounds of Carbon Emissions created between the time period of 1990 and 2014 (EPA 2016). Air pollution is a hazard that people need to take action for now before it gets too late and there is turning back. Air is the main supply for the human body to stay alive, and if the population keeps on polluting the environment with hazardous emissions, it can be extremely dicey for their health. Air pollution is very alarming to the environment and to the human population, therefore the society should start taking actions. A reason why air pollution is an immense issue in the modern day society is because it is a valuable hazard for the population and the environment. To better understand the situation there are about 3 million deaths each year, that is mainly caused by breathing in the emissions. These emissions can cause many diseases, such as heart and lung problems, which may also cause death (“Air” para.1 and 8). This reveals that when breathing these elements, you are letting elements such as smog take the place of oxygen. This will have a different reaction in human lungs, which cause many of the diseases. In the article, “Air Pollution” by “Air” it states that different types of pollutants can mix together with rain, which makes acid rain, that kills or contaminates plants.
