Did you know that in order for you to wear the lipstick you want, innocent animals have to go through intense pain and suffering? Each year more than 26 million animals have to suffer for “Scientific Research”. The animals are tested on and hurt everyday. Animals should not be used for research because these tests are for unimportant items, Humans and Animal DNA does not add up, and it is a very cruel thing. First of all, animals are being exploited for useless products. Most of the tests on animals are for cosmetic products. Most researchers say that tests are for very important products, like cures. However, this is just not true. A large percent of animals are used for cosmetic testing, not for the “important” tests that researchers say. Also, Humans and Animals feel the same. We feel the same emotions as animals. We may feel the same, but animals and humans DO NOT have the same DNA. What this means is that animals may react differently to some tests. If an animal reacts 1 way to a test, a human will probably have a much different reaction than the animal. …show more content…
It gives animals no rights or wills. The animals do not have a say in this, they don’t say “Hey, please don’t kill me”. Even if they could i’m sure the scientists would not listen at all and continue to torture the animal. Some people think much more differently than me. Many say “but it would be safe to not test on humans, animals have no souls, they are treated very well in the cages.”. Most of all of those statements are lies told by the companies that these poor people believe. It is safe to not test on humans, but at what cost? Lipstick for an animal's life, which do you choose? In the cages the animals are treated so poorly it hurts me. What these companies are doing is
Be that as it may, others view these tests as immoral and should be illegal universally. So much so that there are animal activists who protest against the use of animal testing for cosmetics. Similarly, an organization
Animal Testing: Bloody Secret behind beauty It is true that cosmetics are routinely tested on animals before they are cleared for human use. Most of people don’t know the reality of animal testing, they just want to know the effectiveness of the products. Animal testing in cosmetics and other products affects our society, we must understand and try to solve this problem. Animal testing is widely used to develop new cosmetics and test the safety of the products. However, these tests or experiments can cause animals pain and suffering.
Purpose: To inform the audience about animal testing I. Introduction A. Attention getting device: Approximately 26 million animals are used every year in US laboratories for cosmetic and biomedical research. B. Thesis: I would like to inform you about how animal testing is conducted. C. Credibility: I have read and studied the articles about animal testing. D. Preview: I am going to share with you purposes of animal testing, how animals are used in laboratory tests, and the effectiveness of animal testing.
Cosmetic testing on animals is unnecessary when it comes to consumer wants. Defenseless animals should not have to suffer through useless experimentations of cosmetics. Millions of animals have painful deaths every year, because people are allowing this to happen. Since these experiments are an ancient way of testing, the animals’ deaths are in vain. They’re not the most accurate results, and there are other ways to avoid this without the cost of beauty.
Despite this, there are still many companies that don’t use animal testing including Lush, Urban Decay and the Body Shop. With no real proof that their products are safe, they’re doing a foolish act that puts both their company and users at sake. I
It’s cruel and inhumane, which is why it has to end right now. If you disagree, you have to ask yourself: “Why not? Why don’t you want to end their suffering? How can you sit there and watch such cruelty?” Making animals test subjects are wrong, no matter what’s its purpose.
Although it can show what is safe and unsafe for human use, the government should not allow testing on animals because it could make the human trial more high risk. Also it is inhumane and unfair to the animal. The total number of animals killed each year from testing is 19,500,000.
While many say that animal testing must be done to guarantee safety, it isn’t actually safe. Products tested on animals may be poisonous to humans but companies use labels stating “may be dangerous” for liability purposes. “Testing cosmetics on animals is a cruel, outdated and unnecessary practice. Our nation’s largest trading partner — the European Union — has banned the sale of animal-tested cosmetics and proven it is possible to produce safe cosmetics without harming animals.” (Bob Barker, 2006).
Henceforth, as animal testing increased, so did the controversy surrounding it (“Animal testing,” n.d.). Moreover, with the help of animal testing, various treatments and medicines are developed for unconventional diseases. Although animal testing may seem ruthless, animals are used for experimental research that contributes to science if there are no other possible substitutes. Animal testing is a debatable topic that still continues to be one until this time. Animal experimentation should persist because it saves human’s life from diseases, ensures cosmetics’ safety, and improves medical
Each year, around 100 million animals are killed in the United States. Mice, frogs, dogs, cats, rats, monkeys, fish, hamsters, rabbits, fish, birds, and guinea pigs all dead from experimentation. Experiments like medical training, curiosity-driven experiments, chemical testing, drug, food, and yes, even cosmetics testing. Some animals have even had holes drilled into their skulls, or their skin burned off, or spines crushed to purposely paralyze them, and/or forced to inhale toxins to see the outcome. Animals are being treated like useless laboratory equipment and that needs to change.
Should animals be suffering just because humans are trying to advance our medical techniques? Should they be forced to eat? Should people be allowed to torture them this way? Do you think so? In fact, more than 100 million animals are killed each year during scientific and commercial testing, in the U.S alone.
“The assumption that animals are without rights and the illusion that our treatment of them has no moral significance is a positively outrageous example of Western crudity and barbarity. Universal compassion is the only guarantee of morality,” said Arthur Shopenhauer. Even though this was said decades ago, it is still relevant today. This is what is happening in laboratories across the country: all kinds of animals are being abused in incredulous ways that consumers are oblivious to. The United States has no laws or regulations on how animals should be treated while being experimented on.
I believe that they should keep killing animals for animal testing. Because they show how many dna they have inside them. They show what vitamin they have and how they share They use animal testing every year in scientific for they could use the commercial testing that come out of the animals body they first kill the animal then when they are finish they start taking parts off the animal for they could test how many have dangerous affection. They say that in California that the last 100 years the medical breakthrough in the research using the animasl.
This proves how immoral it is to test on animals especially since the law does not require the cosmetics to be tested. The most plausible answer for why the animals are being tested on is a business wants to make money and if the business cosmetic is unsafe and harms one human then no one is going to want to buy another cosmetic from that business. This could leave a business with no
Animal Testing is Inhumane. Multiple species are dying by normal nature happenings, such as being eaten or something like that. However, that 's just the life cycle. But even with this ongoing cycle, the deaths that happen in it don 't get anywhere close to the amount of animals killed by us humans. Each year, 100 million animals, including mice, rats, dogs, frogs, cats, and more, are all killed for scientific usage.
