All it is saying is that that are going to get these helpless animals and these people at BSI are going to gas them with chemicals, inject them with diseases, and risk of killing them. It says that some animals have died in this process and won’t even get recorded into the data, so the number of 115 million animals used, isn’t exact. This medicine will cause psychological stress and pain to these animals. The same animals that could be in your house right now. Do you really want people to kill these animals that could be found in your house?
Testing on animals will make them blind, sick, and many more dangerous actions. Animals should not die or be harmed for unnecessary products. They will make more animals die for products that not everyone needs. The research will harm all types of animals that could be endangered. A bunny becomes bond just so we can use mascara.
There are both negatives and positives to this argument, although there has been medical discoveries which have saved lives, the lives of the innocent animals being tested on are terminated. Why aren't the lives of animals valued as much as that of a human? Solemnly because they are not able to speak English? No. That is not a justified answer, it is NOT okay to watch as thousands of animals get mutated by lab tests and then have to be destroyed because they are now labeled as "chemical waste".
Paul McCartney is one of those people, and he stands up and fights for these poor animals being used to test chemicals. He agrees that the consumers of these products would not buy them if they saw what was happening to animals for that product to be on the shelves. Paul McCartney(2017) once said that “If every cosmetic tested on rabbits or mice had a photo on the packaging showing these animals with weeping swollen eyes and inflamed skin, I believe everyone would leave cruelty on the shelf.”(para.2). These animals do not deserve to live a life full of pain and die in pain from these tests. It is immoral, and
Professor Charles R. Magel once said, “‘Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: ‘Because the animals are like us.’ Ask the experimenters why it is morally okay to experiment on animals and the answer is: “Because they are not like us’. Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction’”. Each year over 100 million animals die in laboratories in the United States (Peta). These deaths alone are just happening in the United States. These innocent animals die because of all kinds of testing and experimentations done on them.
Also, animals are not getting the right amount of space. Lastly, animals are getting a disease called Zoochosis. After reading this essay You can be the judge if zoos are helpful or harmful to animals. First, zoos are harmful to animals because zoos are not giving animals a healthy diet. In the article Zoos The Historical Debate it states, “Red Pandas died after ingesting rat poison.I can 't imagine how they found the rat poison.
(2nd main point) Despite the benefits that the animal experiments bring to the society and people, the practice has strong negative implications for the animals as well as for people 1. Even after conducting experiments on animals, the drugs still need to be tested on people, and as the data provided by the National Institutes of Health used by PETA indicate, 95% of medications that are shown safe for animals do not pass human trial (Animal Testing Is Bad Science, 2017). 2. At the same time, according to The Animal Ethics Reader, animal experiments tend to come at human cost, considering the fact that in the case of relying on unreliable animal experiments concerning thalidomide, thousands of children were born without limbs (Armstrong & Botzler,
These experiments generally cause the animals pain, distress, harm, and suffering. Furthermore, scientists usually kill the animals after the experiment. Examples of animal testing include forcing dangerous substances into animals’ bodies, exposing animals to radiation, and putting animals in stressful or frightening situations (Cruelty Free International). Many animals in scientific research are subject to unnecessary suffering and horrid conditions because the law does not protect them. Regulation for animal testing in the U.S. needs to be strengthened because the Animal Welfare Act is inadequate, thus allowing for unnecessary suffering for laboratory animals.
Some people hate rodents including mice and rats, but using them for testing is not okay. Horses, cats, dogs, bird and even fish are now used in testings. These animals were just a few of the hundreds used for the research and testing. Animal testing should be prohibited because it’s cruel and inhumane, animals are being tortured while in those labs, and the experiments are wasting animals lives. One of the most important and most talked about is laboratories are inhumane and cruel to a large assortment of animals.
Researches have shown that each year, over 100 million animals are tortured and killed in American laboratories alone, including dogs, cats and more; this shows how far out of hand animal testing have gotten. It’s cruel and inhumane, which is why it has to end right now. If you disagree, you have to ask yourself: “Why not? Why don’t you want to end their suffering? How can you sit there and watch such cruelty?” Making animals test subjects are wrong, no matter what’s its purpose.
