My junior year before the seseon had started I tore my meniscus and had to have surdry and was told I probably was done with lifting. After I was told that I was devastated and wanted to give up but I knew as a Tigerette I was held to a standard that I needed to reach and not give up. I worked hard everyday until the week of my surdry and was ready to get back a few weeks later and all of the work that I had been doing made up for me not being able to do any type of lower body workouts. As the season started I got released and keep reaching to the standards of a tigerette and was able to place second at regionals that year and make it on to state placing eleventh place my junior year. Though all the qualities that man gives to the tiger is not true about it, it is however the way the mind of man shapes the tiger to exist in the mind. How the tiger is understood does not change what the tiger is in real existence just in cognitional existence. This is not saying that humans cannot come to know who or what another being is, rather, depending on the complexity of a thing, it takes interaction and contemplation to know another being. So the Detroit Tigers baseball team does reflect characteristics of a pack of tigers while at the same time still being human. It is from here that it becomes related on a singular level.
Spraying down the walls of the cement kennel, I thought about what might happen to all these wonderful dogs. My newfound buddy Francis, an adorable brindle Pitbull mix, licked my fingers through the steel bars of the next pen. He was a beautiful dog, with excellent confirmation and liquid brown eyes, but his dark color and breed gave him little chance at a forever family. Most of the dogs at Harvest Hills Animal shelter are loving Pit bulls or Pit bull mixes. Thankfully, this is a no-kill establishment but even with the hard work of all these dedicated volunteers thousands of Pit bulls get euthanized every day nationally because of the reputation the breed has become known for.
