According to Dictionary.com (2014) Business is a person’s regular occupation, profession, or trade.
The word communication is resulting from the Latin word Communis, which means “common”. It refers to a natural activity of every humans, which is to convey opinions, feelings, information, and ideas to others through words (written or spoken), body language, or signs.
According to Merriam - Webster (2015) Business communication is the sharing of information between people within an organization that is done for the commercial benefit of the organization. It can also be defined as relaying of information within a business by its people.

The first task for writing efficiently is to recognize the purpose of the communication. There are mainly two goals of communication in business circumstances, to notify and to convince.
Writing to inform is when the writer seeks to provide and explain information, the writing is called informative writing. The attention of informative is the subject or the matter under discussion. Informative writing is found in accounts of truths, scientific data, statistics, and technical and business reports. Informative writing presents facts not opinions. Its tenacity is to educate and not persuade.
Writing to persuade is a persuasive writing purposes at convincing the reader about a matter that is arguable; it states opinion rather than truths. This writing is also called argumentative, as it backings and argues for a positive viewpoint or position. The issue at hand normally has two or more sides to it. The writer seeks to influence and convince the person who reads to agree the situation he or she has set forward. Persuasive writing emphasizes on the reader. The writer tries to change the reader’s thinking and bring it closer to his or her own way of thinking. Persuasive writing is found in opinion essays, editorials, letters to editorials, business and research proposals, religions books, reviews, or literature belonging to a certain political
Mooney uses a persuasive writing technique in this essay, to convince the reader of her point of view. Throughout the essay Mooney compares the speed of speaking and letter emphasis to prove her point. She also states that
How does a person make themselves more persuasive and trustworthy? The answer is rhetorical appeals. There are three main appeals that allow a person to be more persuasive and active in a speech or writing including pathos, logos, and ethos.
1. Writers of persuasive essays get people to adopt an idea or take a side using a thesis and strong supporting evidence. Words with positive and negative connotation also play a role in influencing people. An example of this is found on pages 42 and 43. Here, Al Gore uses valid evidence from multiple studies, and David Gelernter uses multiple words with negative connotation 2.
In the Introduction, Jay Heinrichs provides the reader with a foundation about the upcoming concepts on rhetoric, persuasion, seduction, and argument used in our everyday lives and in writing. Throughout this section, he discusses rhetoric that he encounters throughout life and without rhetoric it is merely impossible. He tries to go through a non rhetorical day, but it turns “out to be pretty darn rhetorical, but nonetheless agreeable” (11). Rhetoric prevents fighting, because without an agreement, people use fighting as a way of arguing. So, although people may see rhetoric as manipulation and/or seduction, it provides an agreement, within an otherwise violent, aggravating argument.
The first attempt and success to climb Mt. Everest occured in 1953. Since then, almost 4,000 people have been able to scale the mountain, but over 230 people have not been able to climb it successfully. There is a chance of accident or death when climbing this mountain or any dangerous activity. All people should should have the right to rescue services even if they knowingly put themselves at risk because there is always a chance of an accident happening, rangers are there to save people in danger, and there are rescue vehicles being produced to be used in case of an emergency.

Persuading by appealing to readers emotions. It depends on the language choice of affect to the audience's emotional response. Pathos can make the argument very strong. Many world class athletes have strength, focused on one goal and love is very common in sports today. Nike adds fuel to these emotions by adding ," just do it".
There are numerous persuasive devices that can be used as tricks in order to appear credible in the eyes of the audiences. There will be eight persuasive devices that will be mentioned in this analysis which are artistic proof which consist of ethos, logos and pathos, facts, repetition, positive dictions, analogy and rhetorical questions. 3.1 Artistic proof According to Aristotle, persuaders use proof to persuade audiences. Aristotle describes artistic proof as proof that is created, or invented by the persuaders.
