George Blanket was just your average 13 year old from spaghetti Arkansas. He had a best friend, Chase, he had goods grades, and he had a hobby, making card pyramids with stamps. Like I said, completely normal. This story takes place the summer after his first year of junior high, seventh grade. This summer was like any other summer, he would go over to Chase’s house at 10:37 A.M. everyday to help him with his one chore, dusting Chase’s dad’s statue of himself.
Two weeks after that I met Johnnie face to face and I couldn 't believe how nice he was. He invited me to his gym to train with him and we trained back that particular day. Today my back double bicep is one of my favorite poses. I had a lot of people that was a major influences on my desire to compete and to never give up when I didn 't place well. I met Rich at the 2000 Capitol of Texas Bodybuilding Championships and we kept in touch via email over the year.
Statistics typically grab an audiences or readers attention. In “March to Conquer Cancer” Vice President Gore states the statistic “In America today, more than 40 percent of us will be diagnosed with cancer, and 20 percent of us will die from it” (Gore). Vice President Gore uses this statistic in his speech without giving any proof of where it actually came from. Of course being the Vice President he probably knows the best scientist in the world, but does anyone know that for fact. Stating a statistic in a speech about cancer needs to citied because what if people do not believe the statistic.
When we got there I helped my dad put out the carpet and then attempted to drag the picnic table under the awning, but I couldn’t so my dad had to do it. So when we were done outside I went inside and asked my mom if I could help her inside, but when I went in she was already done and starting on dinner. She was tall for a woman, and her hair was curly kind of like a short afro.
According to Emory University, the 20th university in the world, they say, “Each year, 34,598 people die by suicide, an average of 94 completed suicides every day [...] One in 10 college students has made a plan for suicide.” This shows that stress can lead to suicide because people act differently because it can cause people to kill themselves. This means that 10% of all college students have made a plan to kill themselves. Therefore, stress is a huge deal as it can cause many health issues and death.
My thought it would be very easy to win since we were playing on a par 3. Pretty much every hole was under 200 yards. My cousin and I played this course many times and shot under 40 for nine holes, so we were very cocky. We knew that we would have to practice a lot, so we played 18 holes each day before the tournament.
My cousins said they wanted to go on a really fast roller coaster, so I followed them to go in the line. It was called sky rush. I really didn’t want to go on and we were next. Once the people came off my stomach was filled with butterflies. My older cousin Maria who is 26 said you don’t need to go on, if you want
I believe that being happy is one of the best things in the world, and that being sad will not benefit you whatsoever. I believe in bringing a smile to others in even the darkest of times. Life is like a rollercoaster, it has its ups and downs but the ride never comes to a complete stop. My father has had a horrible ride these past few years. His younger brother passed away a few years ago and my father was left heartbroken.
That same week more than 100,000 people who use the hashtag to show support in restoring funding which was done. It is believed that much of the power behind the efforts which were successful came from the fact that many supporters were actually users of Planned Parenthood and their moneys and their many services. Also in 2012#Kony 2012 began. This however was not as successful as its counterpart they did eventually have have nearly 2,400,000 tweets at the movement seem to like anything more than sentiments to stop the UK Ugandan military leader Joseph Kony. All it seems Twitter users #support may have had a little to do
She urgently needed someone to start watching her twin, three-year-old boys four times a week. My initial thought was, "Can I take care of two toddlers by myself?" The only reason I wanted a job was to help my mom pay the bills. Eventually, I learned that I love spending time with them. Four times a week I bathe them, play with them, take them to the park, make food for them, and put them to bed.
Scott, Kim, and Angie, she is my mother. In every single game that he played, he scored double digits. Bob said during the interview “if there was three pointers back then I would of scored 20 points a quarter.” “I was the go to guy and the coach wanted the ball in my hands cause he knew that I could score the ball.” Bob 's childhood days were much different than it is for kids now.
I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia along with my younger siblings. I am the oldest child out of three, one brother and a sister that are very annoying. My parents immigrated from Mexico to give us, their children, a better life. I am Hispanic and very proud of my heritage, especially getting to eat Mexican food every night with my family. When I was born my dad decided to give me the name “Emily” because he simply liked the way it sounded, recently in a name dictionary I read that it means herd worker which I agree matches who I am.
