Kids not buying the lunches from the school means not as much money comes into our school. And not having the money from lunches means the school would not make as much money. So we would not have money for the school to supply us with the school supplies we need, like wood pencils, loose leaf paper, and other supplies like glue sticks. If you want kids to be healthier, the easiest thing to do would to be to give the kids more time to be active. The biggest thing you could do to make kids healthier is provide more time for activities. Kids only have an hour and a half for P.E. If I were to change one thing in my community, I would change the school lunches, because they taste horrendous, and they need to be healthier. First, the lunches should not be processed foods because those use a lot of chemicals that are harmful to the body. Some examples of processed foods are foods that come pre made or from a box or a can. Processed foods usually contain more con syrup and sugars, usually addicting and can make you gain weight, contains many artificial ingredients, high in carbohydrates, and uses lots of oils that are usually processed as well.

On a typical school day, students sit through 7-8 hours of nonsensical busywork before they can even leave the building. Most high schools in America have a strictly structured day planned out for their students. To begin the day, students sit in class for a few hours. Then they are exposed to some of the worst food known to man, cafeteria food. Not to mention that once they are done scarfing down the sodium-rich garbage called food, the students have to sit in class for a few more hours before their freedom is regained.
Although many students agree that school lunches need to be changed, many feel the opposite. When changing a school lunch menu students are going to lose some of their favorite school lunches. There will be less unhealthy foods such as: little brownies, or pizzas, maybe even the cheese stick that many students love. Although it sounds like a bad idea to change school lunches, I feel differently

This will take a long time because they have to have something to do with the food that they are getting rid of. If they don't have somewhere to send it then they will be wasting money by throwing it out. The cost comes into play because the schools will be paying money to get the new healthier foods into their cafeteria. The money will come back when students start buying the new food, but the school will be down quite a bit of money for a little while.
Open campus at lunch time is a huge advantage for high school students, and is a great punishment as well.
