Another example is, if you change the students school lunch, and make it healthier you should do that to the teachers as well. Students do not like new changes just as much as teachers don't. The school will have a big drop in money because the students will eventually stop buying the school lunches, because they do not like what they are eating and paying for. I also believe that we should be able to pick and choose what we like to eat or what we want to eat because we are paying for the meal. Its not fair to the students to pay for food that they personally do not want to eat or buy.
When people say “If you don’t like the school lunches, then bring your own.”, a lot of people get upset and sometimes angry because some people can’t afford to bring in food from home because some families are limited to what they can give their children when they come to school. Not everyone has the same income or benefits that other families might have. So when the school knows that not everyone can bring in lunch and knows that majority of the school doesn’t like what the students are being served, the school should be quicker than quicker to make sure that there is being a change in what the students are eating. Students understand that there is a food act that pretty much tells schools what to feed us and in what portion but there have been multiple occasions where food have came out cold and moldy. I know from
Some students are struggling academically with this kind of schedule. I believe that students do not have to go to school for 8 hours a day to be have succeeded. Other ’s think we should not have an 6 hour school day because kids would have more time to do after school things like coloring, playing, talking laughing, and many other things and also the school district will save money the percentage of students that day 89 percent should not have an 6 hour school day and 11 percent say yes. Most people have their opinions about different things address more they would do less work but have badder grades.
First off, schools don’t earn that much money, they have to spend it on bills, new supplies for students, and problems that occur with the chromebooks, bathrooms, heaters, air conditioning, etc. Schools need to budget according to their priorities. If they spend the money on athletics, there is less for the school 's needs. According to Tyler Carter, “Right now with the block grants I just don’t see that being proper funding for schools,” said Janet Cathcart. The school is wasting so much
Firstly, free municipal education hardly ever is efficient. According to the author, almost 60% of the public school teachers do not have even an undergraduate degree (Boo 85). Mirchi and other similar schoolchildren are not likely to acquire necessary education that could have potentially helped them and their families to escape poverty. Moreover, they risk learning nothing at all since at public school they mostly “play, take recess, play again, then have lunch” (Boo 85). This is not surprising given the fact that the teachers, such as Asha, often ignore their responsibilities and do not go to school (Boo 33).
In a class period that is about 45 minutes long, that isn’t a lot of active time.” Gym does not keep children active the whole time through and use all it 's time it 's just being a waste of money and time. Why pay to have children stay inactive almost the whole time gym is supposed to keep
They should do that because a lot of stuff kids can afford. School supplies is actually very expensive when its all added up. Some kids family doesn't have a car and they are not able to get it. Then us kids are punished for not getting stuff we have no way of getting. If we are forced to go to school, then we shouldn't have to pay to go there.
I learned that many kids across the country are not receiving free school food and that there are some schools that don’t offer free school lunches. There are many things that we can do to make sure that everyone can receive a free school lunch. Not everyone takes advantage of free school lunches and that is terrible because that means we are throwing away food that could be going to children who actually want food and don’t have the money to buy food or who don’t qualify for free or reduced school lunches. The Hunger-Free Students’ Bill of Rights Act require every student to receive the same
Some people think that gum in school should be allowed, while others not so much. Different people have different reasons why they think gum should be allowed or not. In Sherwood, students cannot chew gum in class. The Sherwood School District decided that gum would create too much of a distraction to be able to allow it in school.
If you wear school uniforms then you do not wear your own clothes and if you do not wear school uniforms to school. School uniforms should not be used in schools because if you wear school uniform It has been claimed that, it cost less to just have 1 or 2 uniforms then all your own clothes. Joel Donofrio, a principal of Woodland Middle School, wrote for Cdapress, Joel quoted,¨Parents can reduce their financial burden when their children are limited to wearing one simple outfit every day.¨ However, it cost to much money when school uniforms are worn to school. Kyler Sumter, a Chicago Junior High student, writer for Edweek, Kyler quoted ¨The cost of school uniforms is leaving hundreds of thousands of children at risk of bullying and embarrassment because they are sent to school in ill-fitting clothes or sent home for not having the correct kit, a children’s charity has warned.¨ This example shows, some uniforms cost too much money so kids end
In today 's world schools spend too much money on after school sports and might get rid of them. Although many students think getting rid of after school sport is not necessary; schools save much more money now and a more percentage of students pass their classes because the schools use the money for educational purposes. Therefore, districts should get rid of after school sports because they are too expensive, students grades are dropping, and kids are not paying enough attention in class.
I personally think we should not have cursive hand writting in school. With the technology we have today kids with phones, tablets, computers most kids dont write assiment 's in hand anymore. It also is a waste of money in shcool 's now having to buy paper when kids can just type the work they are doing on tablets, phones. I also dont think we need it in our school 's when there is other important stuff that we need to learn more than focusing on how to write in cursive. Also at the same time people think it could benifit students who have problems learing how to write.
Are you a teacher whose students are distracted or even hungry after lunch? Do your kids go to the nurse’s office too much because they threw up earlier at recess? If you answered yes to any of these questions then I have a solution for you! Instead of having recess after lunch, why don’t we have it before? I think that all schools should have recess before lunch.
In the United States of America, millions of students in public schools throughout the country walk through the cafeteria line during school days for their lunch. Students from a diversity of families, socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures and lifestyles - each one unique in their identity and experiences, yet, they all have one major connection that they share with every other living and breathing being in the world: they have to eat. Many children bring their meals to school with them, and many purchase lunch from the food service programs offered in school cafeterias. Meeting the needs of students while in school is important to allow them to function well and learn; offering a substantial and nutritious meal at lunch is one way to meet
Government Lunches: A Foundation Crumbled "You aren't you when you're hungry. " The slogan of the popular Snickers bar has captured the reason school lunches were created, because without proper nutrition, the distraction of hunger can be an obstacle to focused learning. School lunches have been a controversial topic ever since its inception during World War II, when "many young men had been rejected from the draft due to medical conditions caused by childhood malnutrition" ("The History of the School Lunch Program"). Over the years, the program has undergone many bills and amendments, expanding on the original foundation laid by President Truman. Many would argue that most of these changes have been positive and have lead to dramatic health improvements in children.
