Drunk driving is a serious problem that continues to take thousands of deaths each year. Too many innocent lives been lost to drunk driving. A death from drunk driving does not only affect the victim but it affects everyone around them such as family and friends. One night, one drink, one mistake is all it takes for drunk driving to take its toll. There are many solutions to prevent drunk driving, but they will only work if we put them into play.

This can cause many distractions on the road. One of the most serious and dangerous distractions is texting while driving. It can cause the diver to lose control of the wheel and cause a serious car crash or a person death. Although being in a car crash or accident can also cause serious injuries like being paralyzed from the waist down or in a deathly coma.

People are so intune with their phones and what is on the seat next to them, that they could ruin someone 's life forever. Because of distracted driving, people get severely injured and can lose their lives, so phone and car companies should work together to create a device to reduce this issue. A tragic motor vehicle event occurred in January of 2018 in Las Vegas that lead to safety concerns and the question - are driving licenses given too easily and should this right be given an extensive right to obtain? An implausible story highlighted a speeding driver who was under the influence of drugs (marijuana) and proceeded to his car being smashed into a building 60 feet up in the air. Local police confirmed that 2 people were inside the car at the time (who’s names have not been disclosed). Both individuals did survive the insane crash. Authorities such as The Orange County Fire Authority and The Santa Ana Police Department confirmed using CCTV cameras that the driver had hit a centre divide which therefore projected the car into the building wall.
Legal driving age has been a constant argument as the major reason for death among teens is these accidents happening. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 1678 drivers in 2014 have been reported dead aged 16 to 20 years along with some new issues like texting while driving; other mobile usages along with distracted driving (Rogers, 2015). Driving age should remain at 16 as it will make teenagers more frustrated if they wait till the age of 18 and with experience they will get better.
