American produce a lot of trash, now add the rest of the world and tell me how much the entire world produces in one whole year. If you did the math it turns out to be that the world throws away 250 trillion pounds of trash each year. Thats a lot of trash and waste. Consequences of trash and waste are that it builds up over time and then we run out of room till we start to live on this trash and waste. Also we can't burn this trash as much as we want because it gives of a small amount of CO2.
The wastage of water is equivalent to three times the volume of Lake Geneva. In other words, many people won’t have enough to water to drink and grow crops to survive. The basic needs of water and food wouldn’t be available because of the one problem, food waste. Unconsumed waste is one of the largest solid waste in the landfill that contributes to climate change. Wastes that ends up in the landfill releases a significant amount of methane.
Did you know that being immortal isn’t actually as fun as it sounds and could endanger our planet by overpopulating it? Well now you do, overpopulation is an extremely dangerous problem that can affect future generations greatly. One of them obviously being running out of space. Reproducing and death are both the biggest factors of the human cycle, immortality would become a difficult challenge to overcome because it would interfere with the life cycle. We should not live forever because we would crowd our environment and it would be very costly.
Water bottles, a major controversy in the world of recycling and on the other hand litter. Do you know what happens in our oceans and world when plastic is thrown out or littered? There are many dangerous and harmful effects when this happens. Water bottles are creating a pile of trash in the ocean and on land, and to top it all off we’re the ones who started and created this disaster. I think that plastic water bottles should be banned because it’s pricey and expensive to the economy and to the public, they are lethal to animals, and plastic water bottles are polluting our environment.
In the US alone, the Office of Response and Restoration of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) responds to over a hundred oil spills each year (NOAA). While spills happen on both land and water, ocean spills are much more difficult to contain and recover from. They happen easily, almost too easily, either caused by carelessness, accidents, or natural disasters, and their negative environmental impacts could take decades to recover from. It seems like as long as humans are still depending on oil, spills will continue to wreck havoc on marine life. Oil harms marine animals both physically and chemically.
The plan depends on an unlimited supply of funds but this is clearly not acceptable and this is one of the reasons that explained why Ponzi scheme collapsed. 2.4.1 Statistics for Ponzi scheme In the year 2014, Ansari the director of Forensics & Valuation Services (2015) (COUNTRY) explained that at least 70 Ponzi schemes were disclosed and an aggregate of $2.2 billion was not recovered. Furthermore, there were around 136 prison judgments, for all those operating in a Ponzi scheme. The SEC and North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) describe that the cost for fake securities for the U.S. shareholders is approximately $10 to $15 billion a year.
It’s estimated that gas reserves will run out somewhere in the next 50 years, and for oil we’re given a deadline between 2025 and 2070. The cut off point for life as we know it is drawing ever closer and even though a lot of efforts have been and are being made to switch to renewable energy sources, we can see our time with fossil fuels is running out. So the answer is simple; renewable, clean and safe energy, right? We all know the pros and cons of renewable energy sources such as solar, hydro and wind energies. These forms are expensive, require lots of land space, there’s never enough power generated and you also can’t rely on them 24/7 (when the sun goes down, we’re doomed).
Due to lack of fuel, it is being imported from other countries at a very high price. This can alter the economic development in India. Even in petrol pumps, we find that cost of petrol is rising gradually! What would happen if all the oil on the earth disappeared? Mass chaos and panic as civilization immediately collapsed.
A weak emphasis on environmental education (EE) has taken a toll on the global perspective of pollution; worldwide, the majority of people view pollution through a lens of misconceptions and perceive the problem with minimal gravity. Pollution is a never-ending cycle of destruction yet is continuously set as a triviality. Whether it be the lack of potable water or an overall increase in mortality rates due to toxic chemicals, pollution has not only affected the environment but holds a persistent threat to life. “1.1 billion people lack access to water and 2.4 billion don’t have adequate sanitation, putting them at risk of contracting deadly diseases”(“Tackling Threats”). Pollution nonetheless constitutes other pressing matters such as climate change, weather deficiencies, and the decrease in biodiversity.
As the climate of the earth has been negatively shaped and the natural stock of petrol has decreased, the issue of environment has rung an alarm among people from all walks of life. Apart from that ,people unlimited use the resources of earth , pollute it with waste or trash, and we never realized thought that what thing will be like in the coming days or future, never realized what shape things will be in for our next generation. More severe cases can be millions tons of waste is produced in the world every day .It a high time to damage about our environment . Since that, people start to unveil the importance of recycling and what can people do to make our environment free from pollution. Government has launched some programmes such as World Environment Day, Industrial Waste Recycling Programme and National Cell Phone Recycling, yet the outcomes have not been satisfactory.
