The earth, it’s one of a kind, in all the universe and the billions of light-years we have observed we have never found another place like it. When I go out into the pine barrens and look up at the sky I can feel the sun coming down like streams of golden hot liquid to the earth, and breath in the cold fresh air. It reminds me of how the earth was once all this clean and how we need to work harder to get it back to that condition. That heat and clean air is the life blood of our planet. It feeds the plants which intern feed every animal that exists, every zebra, every dog, every butterfly. The earth is resislanet, its been here for billions of years, animals have claimed ownership for almost as long, but right now we are pushing the earth to its breaking point.
We need to stop thinking like we are gods and we are above other animals, it's awful how we treat them, unless they are useful for us we couldn't care less about taking their land or their food or destroying their habitat. We should take more responsibility for the harmful actions happening to the Earth and its inhabitants. It's in our best interest to support a world with more green space, less emissions, less pollution, no global warming, and animal protection, these are the things that are going to kill us if we don't

Such a polarizing word. Politicians debate it in favor of the oil and fracking companies that put millions of dollars in their pockets, but it’s real, and it is one of the biggest threats to our home we have ever seen. Animals have survived meteors and supervolcano eruptions, but us humans, we are killing them. Every year there is a greater decline in biodiversity and in habitat. We are cutting down the rainforests and saying “screw you” to all the beautiful creatures that live there. People don’t seem to care, at least by their actions, maybe when they think about it they see it as sad but they don’t take the steps they could to end climate change and begin reversing
NO TILLING Would no-till farming help the ground from blowing? The answer is yes. No-till holds the soil in place by keeping the left over crops on the soil. The roots of the crops hold the topsoil in place unlike disking the soil that loosens the topsoil.
This will not be a quick or easy process, but it is doable. Carson reflects, “It took hundreds of millions of years to produce the life that now inhabits the earth … life reached a state of adjustment and balance with its surrounding” (890). Just because this process of protecting and eventually rebuilding our ecosystem may not ever be complete, does not mean that we can give up. We must be willing to take the first step and allow eminent domain to continue. As Fredrick Douglas once said, “If there is no struggle, there is no
An appreciation for nature is instilled within a human being during their beginning years of life. Older generations teach younger generations what they have learned from their experiences in nature as a child despite the constant, ever-changing of the environment. Ever since the mid-twentieth century, the climate has been changing in ways that has the potential to one day threaten the lives of billions. Authors, such as Richard Louv, Jedediah Purdy, and Kalle Lasn, work to emphasize the downward fall that is occurring in society. Along with their opinions, my Mother also gave her input about the world today from a different point of view.
Annotated Bibliography: How Climate Change Is Affecting Our Planet Controversy statement: Climate change is been debated for over centuries now. People all around the world are taking action and reducing burning fossils to minimize the gasses in the atmosphere. Many people believe that climate change doesn't exists. But there are a lot of controversial topics that proves that climate change is real. In my opinion, climate change is slowly killing us and destroying our planet.
Jane Goodall, a primatologist, ethologist, and anthropologist, explains that the greatest risk to our future is lacking enthusiasm and concern about its outcome. Considering Goodall is extremely environmentally keen, it is more than likely she is emphasizing this towards the future of the entire ecosystem, including plants and animals, rather than only the future of the human race. She explains that if the human race falls to a deficiency of caring about our environment, it can and will lead to a vast threat to the future of the world’s ecosystem. Often humans forget about the importance of the ecosystem and instead we become caught up in ourselves and our own individual needs. Goodall is stressing that if these egotistical human acts continue to occur, the future of our ecosystem is in jeopardy.
Climate Change This quote said by Washington State Governor, Jay Inslee shows the severity of climate change “We are the first generation to feel the sting of climate change, and we are the last generation that can do something about it.” “On Earth human activities are changing the natural greenhouse of the Earth.” (A blanket around the Earth). Burning fossil fuels is causing carbon dioxide to be released into the air.
The amount of plastic products that ended up in the ocean as of 2015 are quite high. How high you may ask yourself? No not 1 million but 9 million tons of plastic waste laid in the ocean as of 2015. Who could be responsible for most of this plastic in the ocean? Surprisingly its china, they are responsible for 2.4 million tons per year.
Stop Taking Clean Water for Granted Can you stop for a moment and think what would happen if we didn’t have water; clean water? It seems impossible, as we use water to drink, cook, clean, grow things, and for everything else in life. Unfortunately, because of the easy access to one of the most plentiful, and most valuable resources in the world, some people take water for granted. In contrast, other poor people live in places where the only easy way to get water is from a dirty irrigation ditch. Or their only source of water is backyard faucet shared by several homes.
We need to change our perspective about nature and be more caring towards the Earth. Because if we keep on being cruel and not see a life in natural creatures they will someday be gone and we will be regretting that day. We can
Climate Change is one of the most unsettling problems mankind faces today. It leaves an impact on every single living thing, on every continent, no matter the privilege. Long term investment must be used to change the world. People must do more than just change out their light bulbs for eco-friendly ones, or drive fuel efficient cars. A choice as simple as changing our diets could reduce a human’s carbon footprint by fifty percent.
Thesis Not just for our health but also for animal’s welfare, we need to be aware about what procedures animals are passing by and how they are being treated. Many of the most fatal sicknesses that affect humans can be prevented if we involve more in those harsh procedures that they suffer and try to look for new solutions to make it stop. Introduction Many times we are not even aware that our cold actions are not just affecting the defenseless animals but ourselves, our country, our economy. We don’t even think of how those actions are affecting the rest of the population, we just care about selling products and making money.
Climate Change is something that we have caused because of our choices to burn fossil fuels, at some point we have to face the problems that we have created. The consequences of Climate Change are horrific and Climate Change could end our existence as a species, most people do take action against Climate Change except, The Government of the United States of America, refuses to accept the serious dangers of climate change and continues releasing propaganda on Climate Change, claiming its effects are minimal and that we are not causing it. Peculiar how almost every other government in the world thinks otherwise. The reasons we are heading in the wrong direction is because the actions of humans are causing Climate Change, and almost all scientists agree on this matter. Another reason is the that the government isn’t trustworthy in what they say about Climate Change, meaning what they say about Climate Change is wrong, and we should change our policy on Climate Change.
The earth, our earth, once used to be a healthy environment, with no pollution or destruction. Not until humans began creating advanced technology and other inventions that started to affect the way we live. As humans we thought these inventions would just make life easier for us and we don’t mean to harm the planet. We are all trying to help the planet but at the same time, destroying it.
Introduction: Our earth is the most precious gift of the universe. It is the sustenance of ‘nature’ that is the key to the development of the future of mankind. It is the duty and responsibility of each one of us to protect nature. It is here that the understanding of the ‘environment’ comes into the picture. The degradation of our environment is linked with the development process and the ignorance of people about retaining the ecological balance.
Green growth and green economy have been subject to various definitions but those currently being used by international organizations have a lot in common. Greening growth (GG) and moving towards a greener economy (GE) is complex and multidimensional. Green growth is a matter of both economic policy and sustainable development policy. It tackles two key imperatives together: the continued inclusive economic growth needed by developing countries to reduce poverty and improve wellbeing; and improved environmental management needed to tackle resource scarcities and climate change. The concept of green economy rests on the economy, the environment and the social pillars of sustainable development.
