Why can't girls wear colorful headbands to school? I think that girls should be allowed to show their personality in the way they want to and if this is by wearing a colorful headband, then let it happen. Headbands are useful many ways. Some of these ways might include; pulling back a girl's hair, preventing a girl from getting lice, preventing a girl from getting extremely sweaty and many more. This is why the principal should change the uniform code so that girls can wear a colorful headband to school.
There are many reasons why girl's should be allowed to wear a colorful headband to school. As I said earlier, headbands help a girl by preventing lice, for example, if a girl's mom or dad goes to the store to buy their daughter a headband because they have heard that lice was going on in her grade, they should be allowed to get the headband in their daughter's favorite color so the girl can wear it more rather than going to school. Headbands prevent lice by pulling back a girls hair so its harder

In order to get girls permission to wear headbands to school, we can bring it up to the principal by simply asking or by showing a special interest in headbands. If the principal asks why than we can explain, how headbands are safe and add a little bling to our uniform.
Some people say that colorful headbands should not part of the uniform code, but the fact is that the uniform can't change a girl's personality. Their are a lot of girls who want to change numerous amounts of things about the uniform code, and do what they strongly want to do instead of doing what they think they should'nt do. The dress code must be changed as soon as possible. Meanwhile most of the seventh grade girls wear their hair in braids or in ponytails and they are still allowed to wear ponytail holders that are bright and colorful, so I'm sure it won't hurt if we can wear headbands
No matter what a student wears to school it doesn’t block or contribute weather a student will learn or not, so if a student wants to wear a crop top to school they should be able to wear it if a girl decides to wear shorts to school she should be able to wear it. Sometime boys might feel it’s too hot to come to school in a t-shirt and decides to wear a tank top he should be able to wear it and not have to serve a consequence. No matter how much schools have dress codes students will try to outbreak those rules. At the end of the day students come to school to get an education, students use their brains to learn and not what they wear to school.
The administration and teachers think the dress code is just fine even if it means that the student will have to miss their classes. The dress code is unfair and females are told that they are distractions for boys and the class. Females are told that they will be a distraction to boys if they wear leggings or if their shoulders can be seen, but has anyone ever heard a boy say “Man those are some nice shoulders!” I never have. Women cannot express themselves as easy because of the restrictions they have on the clothing they can wear.
School Dress codes do not allow students to completely express their individuality. Schools want students to be able to think for themselves and create a sense of who they are, but it is not easy when they are forced to abide by rules that take away from from that. It should be a place of expressing ourselves freely in a learning environment without having to worry about what we wear as an interfering issue. The fact that the school system cares more about the student dress code than their education is an issue in itself. Schools should promote dress code individuality because of religious aspects, mental health, and human experience.
Who will care in 10 years what shirt you wore last Thursday? The point being, school is a place for students to learn and grow, we do not need the distractions of out-of-uniform clothing. Dress codes are a good thing because they make life easier in the mornings and don 't cause as much bullying. Dress codes make everyone look uniform and professional, as well as, making it easier for the students to learn at
I agree with these students and I wouldn’t want to be forced to wear a uniform either. To begin, parents don’t want to pay the extra money for a school uniform. It’s extremely expensive and the student 's parents have to buy even more appliances on top of that. Let’s weigh the pros and cons of school uniforms states, “The cost of uniforms is prohibitive, especially when a family includes more than one school-aged child.”
And So form kids wearing uniform to having free dress uniform should not be required for lack of communication. One reason students from all ages should not wear uniform is lack of expression. greatschools.org by Marian Wilde said... “when a student was sent to detention for wearing socks adorned with the image of winnie the pooh’s friend tigger, the girls family sued the school district for violated her freedom of speech.” This means that kids don 't have a say when they go to school because they have school uniform.
To begin with, students shouldn’t wear uniforms because it violates a student’s right for freedom. For example, quoting, “https://www.greatschools.org/gk/articles/school-uniforms/” by Marian Wilde, “School uniforms violate a student’s right to freedom of expression...makes a target for bullies from other schools, are difficult to enforce in public schools, and are a financial burden for poor families.” This means that some families aren’t able to afford the school uniforms. Which, leads to many students getting bullied for not having uniforms like their
The limitations for school uniforms are more strict then ever now just because they type of clothing that young kids or young adults are wearing today. School uniforms limits students freedom of expressing themselves. All over the world students are required to wear a uniforms just to make the school look good or have a appropriate professional look. Not enough students has a chance to have a self image
School Uniforms: It is Not the End of the World To wear uniforms or to not wear uniforms? The hot topic on whether public school systems should carry out the idea of school uniforms has been around for a while. There are people who agree with the decision to implement the idea, and there are people who believe the idea should not be implemented. School uniforms should be placed into effect in public schools, because it will save parents cash, diminish bullying, and brings a sense of safeness to the school’s environment.
Envision waking up every morning to put on the same outfit and walk out the door, stress free. People would not have to worry about what fits, or what is fashionable at the time. Schools would not have to worry about inappropriate clothing but at the same time, that clothing may be a way for a student to express himself. Many schools view uniforms as a solution to several problems, but many schools view uniforms as a lack of self expression. School uniforms should continue, even though children may not get to express themselves, because they prohibit violence, provide cheaper lifestyles, and promote better education.
You might be thinking about the schools that rich kids go to in movies and TV shows or you might be thinking about Catholic schools with small children all wearing the same colored school uniforms. This is probably what most people imagine. We associate uniforms with students of foreign countries and private schools. Thoughts of students dressing in school uniforms have led to stereotyping and a gloomy outlook on schools pushing for a uniform policy. We live in a society that says you must express yourself and be an individual at all cost, but some fear that uniforms display us as robots who lack the ability to express ourselves, however, this is far from the truth.
School uniforms, school uniforms have been debated among the states with tons of studies that say they help with school issues and other studies that contradict school uniforms have no significant change. In order to save money schools shouldn’t be adding more costs to school, school should be cheaper, its fundamental to all kids to learn and not for the parents to be spending more money on school uniforms especially with families on a tight budget. The issue of school uniforms has been around 1969 ever since the US Supreme Court issued a law that kids could protest if it wasn’t disruptive. Bill Clinton also supported this because he didn’t want to see kids fight over expensive clothing.
Having dress codes can also be uncomfortable especially with changes in weather throughout the school year. Most dress codes involve long pants for the boys and skirts for girls. During warm summers it can get real hot wearing long pants and in the winter, the girls would not be comfortable wearing skirts in freezing temperatures. To pay attention in school you need to be comfortable in what you are wearing without distractions. There is also the burden and additional expense to parents with students wearing dress codes for school and the other clothes after school which could double family budgets.
Many students that know uniforms will be beneficially, but don’t agree with school uniforms will continue to disagree with implementing them. It can be easily agreed that school uniforms may take away their self-expression in school, but what matters more in school is the way of learning. It can also be agreed that many students do not accept the self-expression of their classmates and make fun of them. Students, parents, and school administration should be able to recognize the benefits that school uniforms come with.
Should we have school uniforms? it’s hard to think that something as little as wearing school uniforms could help in how a student learns but if you think about it, it affects a lot of things. People think applying school uniforms restricts a students freedom of expression. However it is rather weak argument. Uniforms do not take away a students right.
