Obamacare is really called The Affordable Care Act and it was created to increase health insurance quality and to make sure that anyone including some poor people can afford it. Also, Obamacare requires them to cover for pre-existing conditions. In other people’s opinions they think that some poor people don’t have enough money to pay for health care because they’re not spending it wisely. Some politicians are trying to replace Obamacare with a new medical plan. I think they still should have Obamacare because poor and sick people can afford it and if we get rid of it then those poor people can’t have health care.

Before the Affordable Care Act was put into work, over 45 million Americans were uninsured. The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, was then made to help those who were uninsured. It allowed people with financial struggles with the same opportunity as everyone else to have a healthcare plan. Even though the law was passed in 2010, it took a full year of back and forth to get it passed in the Senate. Obamacare may help you get coverage, but charge you an annual fee if you don’t have one. The affordable care act should stay in effect because even though it may cost more, it regulates private insurance to get more rights and protection for each person.

As previously described, the United States is the country that spends the most money in health care in the world. For example, just in the year 2008, it spent 16.2 percent of its gross domestic product on health- care (Gaydos 700). Through the population health model, investment and policy decisions in areas such as education, income transfer, civil rights, macroeconomics, employment, welfare, housing, and neighborhoods would have a significant effect on improving a population’s health than increasing the spending on medical services. I am here to renounce the old Welfare reform laws. The way that the system is set up now makes it nearly impossible for a person who are in need of such benefits due to the coined term the “Welfare Queen”. Stigmas such as this makes it harder for people that actually need the help to seek it in fear of being labeled. This new reform will change the federal poverty level guideline being that the cost of living has changed since the federal guidelines were written in the mid-1990s. This new reform will get rid of the current five year cap that is in place now stating that if you have a child while you are on welfare within your 18 months of service you will not be permitted to add any additional children. As well as once the 18 months are up you will have to wait 5 years before you can reapply. Being that many people cannot control their circumstances we are here to help you along in your struggle.

America's health care system is a topic that has divided much of American society. Each and every working citizen of the United States pays into a social security fund to provide for the retired and disabled, and eventually to provide for themselves. Looking to the future, many depend upon social security as their “retirement plan” . . . but should they? Unless a serious reformation takes place, the social security system may be bankrupt by 2033. Shockingly, this bankruptcy has been predicted for decades. Then why has the problem not been fixed? Is it already too late? Fortunately, the social security system can be reformed over a period of time through a very detailed, comprehensive process.

Every time a baby is born in the U.S. they are given a social security number. This number will continue to be important until the day that they die. Young people often do not know the importance of Social Security except the fact that it is used often for identification purposes. In recent years there has been a lot of talk surrounding the Social Security system and the current crisis that it is facing. Of course there are many possible solutions to combat this crisis, but none without their faults. As a society we need to accept that it is up to our generation to fix this issue. Reforming Social Security will benefit everyone living in the U.S. in the long run. Restoring Social Security to its once former glory is a necessity to benefit our further generations and to create a better future for the next generation of workers. In order to accomplish this lofty goal I propose that we increase the payroll tax cap to boost Social Security’s funding and reduce benefits for the higher income earners who do not need Social Security as much as others do.

Imagine you are sitting in a courtroom. A member from congress approaches the podium and clears his throat. He announces that congress is passing a new law that states that every single citizens life now belongs to the government. This would take away our basic human right, the property of our very own life. This would never happen right? You are wrong. Euthanasia is when a physician administers a lethal injection to a terminally ill patient. Assisted suicide is when a terminally ill patient takes physician provided medication to help the patient commit suicide (Euthanasia 1). These are illegal in several states throughout the United States. Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide should be legal In every state of our nation.

First, if patients have requests for medical help injection for themselves, it is called Voluntary Euthanasia and did not a request from patients, it called Involuntary Euthanasia. Second, if the doctor injected into the patient died, it is called Active Euthanasia but if the doctor lets the patient died by themselves, it is called Passive Euthanasia (2005). However, Euthanasia is also illegal in some countries. It also has people who disagree with this kind of killing. Some people think it is a crime. To avoid this issue, a few ideas or systems should be considered in order to make the process quicker. Currently organ donations only consist of hair, blood plasma, and sperm and egg. Since removing your kidney is a riskier procedure than donating your hair, receiving money for the process will influence people to donate. Adding kidneys to the accepted list of organ sales can cause an uproar both good and bad, but may overall benefit those in need. The process of organ donations in the United States is an unstable procedure, but with the improvement in the system black markets can be stopped, awareness can be improved, and more lives will be saved.

I identify myself as Jean Valjean in the story. Valjean was a poor guy who was sentenced to be an oarsman for stealing a loaf of bread for his niece. He could not get any job after he was released because of his ex-convict’s passport. He ended up staying at a local bishop’s house and stole silver dishes. He got caught by the gendarmes, but the bishop forgave Valjean and even gave him more silver. If I was in that situation where I have to steal something in order to help a loved one, I would definitely do it. Of course, it is not right to do things against the law like Valjean did. I would usually obey the law, but I am willing to sacrifice myself in other ways to help loved ones. Even if this action could bring negative consequences, I would
